Programming takes a lot of time for you to understand,u can't master one language in just a space of 3 or 6 months,i can't pay such amount to learn programming
Programming is just hands on. Even if you learn for a year or more and you are not practicing on a regular basis, u won't develop. So one need a space to apply all what you are learning and that's what boot-camps are for

Ok I work in the tech team of a real estate firm in Lagos. And I'm a MERN stack developer.
Thanks for this response. I just want to ask if it's stutern that provided the job opportunity. One of the perks I'm really looking forward to from them is their job placement. Are there extra steps I can take they will facilitate my getting a job through them

My post keeps getting banned on this thread by that anti spam bot.

But anyway take this from a stutern alumnus:

It's a good program to take if you already have prior programming knowledge. But if you don't you will certainly get lost at a point because the program is very fast paced.

Another thing to note is that the stuterns training assistants won't be of much help to you if you get stuck, so you have to own your learning, do your best to practice a lot and try and get familiar with every topic before the tutor treats it in class. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube.

Lastly learn JavaScript and I mean really learn it. The whole course is based on JavaScript so having an in depth knowledge of it will help.

Did I forget to mention the perks such as access to a working space 9-5pm mon-fri in gbagada with stable power and internet, bathrooms and toilets as well as a kitchen with fridge and microwave to store and warm your food.

Concerning job placement I think stutern does fairly well in that aspect most of the people that finished in my set got placed in the first 2 weeks. Even those which I knew didn't really know JavaScript, not to talk of React or Node JS. But you will be surprised how many startups and established companies are looking for competent Node js developers in Lagos.

Now stutern is far from perfect, did I mention that their training assistants are not helpful? Yeah they really are. You won't learn anything that you can't learn on your own but stutern will provide a good and fast paced learning environment and would force you to either make it or break.

Like I said earlier own your learning, it's really up to you.
Thanks for the response. It's all what you have said. It's going well but very fast paced. The only thing I am thankful for is the peer learning and the willingness to help among other learners. I was finding difficultly to learn on my own there why I signed up so it has been helping me. Concerning their space, it's very far from my residence so I'm unable to go regularly

Please, I recently enrolled into Stutern cohort program(software development), and it's almost 600k for the full tuition. I already made the first payment of 150k, I want to know if it's worth the money or I should just cut my loss and move on. Please share your knowledge/experiences about their mode of operation. Thanks as you contribute
