My brother I just weak. Even if he has been using the money for what ever reason. Do we not suppose to know how the money is spent? With this kind of mentality, we still have a long way to go |

YesDaddyTill203: Now you are talking. You cannot have a just govt if the society itself is full of corrupt citizens.
The average Nigerian is not yet ready to accept that we have a societal problem, and until we do that. Na waste of time.
Every institution needs people from the gate man to the top to function properly and as designed. If the majority of people working in any institution are corrupt from their homes, then the institution cannot work as designed because it takes just a small sample of those institutions to derail what the institution is supposed to do.
You have to bribe a gateman, bribe a clerk, bribe mid-level civil servants, and so on. But we only concentrate on the people at the top. Believe it or not, it's those at the bottom and mid-level that will determine the efficiency of your operations. You can have laws and rules all you want. You need people to still carry them out. Have you seen a corrupt parents producing incorruptible children? When the head is bad the whole body is bad. Every eye is on our leaders. Don't put the blame on the society. We have laws, if the law doesn't affect the politicians tell me how others will feel. People believe that it is normal. How will somebody stole from the society instead of the authority to put him behind bars they will just swept it under the carpet. Is there any fear again in the society when our leaders that suppose to live by example are the ones messing up the society? When I was a child. If police come to our area with black maria and picked anybody such family will be talk of the town and such family will feel ashamed that their son has disgrace them because the government instilled that fear in us. What about children's welfare, when u are taken to welfare all ur peers will come and mock u there next time you will avoid steal or fighting. That fear was there because the government were serious in governance. U want to talk about War Against Indiscipline? |

Lanretoye: pls don’t let research be a problem for you as a youth okay, now do a simple research and delete this your ignorant write up. More disturbing is that people like you believe that poverty is what cause people to fall for ponzi as if there are no poor people in most part of the world too. Poverty doesn’t make you fall for ponzi, greediness does I am not talking about poverty here. Even though it still contribute to an extent. I am talking about 'igborant' I am referring to this present government I mean Nigeria government generally from the past, present and maybe the future Which account do the people pay money into? Is iaccount not own by the citizen of this country? Or is the account not trace able. As I said people that sign up on this ponzi scheme do not even know what is the meaning of 'ponzi' and how it works. No matter how government sensitized people about Ponzi schemes many will still fall victim because some feel it another avenue of making money. Are u telling me that there is no genuine platform that is not Ponzi on the internet? There are three class of people that join such platforms. the ignorant ( they don't even know how the whole thing works, most of them are first timer) Those that knows that it is ponzi site but choose to play smart( early cash out ) and lastly The greedy ones The second set are those that lure the ignorant and the greedy ones into the scheme. I want to ask you why do we not always have Ponzi scheme sites in develop countries? |

Lanretoye: They won’t even tell their best friend when they heard about the scheme but then their downfall comes they want everyone to share their problemcontinue to blame government for greediness of some people,e easy like that na him make no be part of the government or you don’t aspire to be governor or president…only insensitive people don’t think that when people were getting paid by the ponzi the government was not aware, the government didn’t tax the gains but then they elope with these same people’s money you want the government to come to their aid Government have a role to play by protecting her citizens. How many ponzi schemes have u heard in America, China, UK, Germany etc. Do u think that everybody knows what is ponzi scheme? Not because those that join these platforms are greedy but because most of them do not know how these things works. Some only believe since people make money online it is a way of making money. The government suppose to make such that such scammers suppose to fish out and use as a case study for others to learn. U don't scammed people and think that u can go scot free in civilize society. That is why China use this country a dumping ground for fake items. |

Misterone: His crimes were committed at the State level! EFCC has no powers or authority to probe the finances of a state unless invited by the government of that state through the state house of assembly. This is what's making most state governors escape criminality. The EFCC can only investigate individuals not the state government But Soludo is Obi political enemy. He has all what it takes to do that. Tinubu, Wike or any of his political enemy can invite EFCC. |
Politics › Re: "I Will Build Primary Health Centres In All 8,000+ Wards" — Obi Declares by AMI3(m): 9:58pm On Jul 04 |
Misterone: One thing you fail to realise is that you see Obi as a saint! He's not! Now, no one is saying governance is perfect right now or would ever be perfect. Criminality will always be with us. What you should be looking at is the reaction of government. You talk about party. In governance, there's nothing like party. If you want to talk about party, APC is executive, and legislature! So, if it's a party thing, you'll not even hear of it. Be it APC, PDP, NDC, ADC, etc. they all have Nigerians. When you start differentiating by party, it seems as if those from other party are saints. Like I said before, Obi is a criminal. Criminals are everywhere and they'll be caught If Obi is a criminal tag EFCC to do their job. Is that not the right thing to do? |
