That remains the only reason, against all odds, why he's still in the house till now. If he co-owns moniepoint, then he should be rich. But he seems to give the impression that he's not doing so well compared to his counterparts. He even said that he didn't want to have to be that desperate to have to sleep for money. |

Did he say all ladies do that? |

badinfluence: As is your way, and the way of your kind. Went confronted you choose to dig a hole to get out. I wrote in simple terms the elements that has to be contained for something to be considered misogynistic, and you wrote paragraphs about how Ade is not liked and yabbed and how the girls in the house act and how there's double standards. How in the world do those things I said relate to all you were saying. Did you hear anybody call Adekunle misogynist? Not every thing is about Ade abeg . |

badinfluence: That doesn't explain anything. Let's use the example of you saying Adekunle is a sissy. You would say that because you don't like the person, hence your conclusion that he is a sissy is biased. Why do you guys attribute the word misogynist to the people you do not like? I have seen how a lot of excuses are being made for Cross here, just because he is innocent and has a child like soul, even when he has said somethings a lot of people here would term misogynistic. Now let's use the house as a case study, if almost all the female housemates have acted in a manner worthy of condemnation, can you not see how it leads to the generalization? Did these guys just enter the house and say 'let's just be misogynists'? You people leave the cause and attack the effect and this is where the double standard comes in. You wrote a whole lot but said nothing |

TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by Amya(f): 12:27pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
badinfluence: The thing is that a lot of these terms like 'misogynistic' are now trigger words used to silence guys from speaking out when wronged. The female housemates have constantly insulted and provoked a reaction from these guys, but when they speak out, they're called misogynists. I also find it funny that Adekunle who isn't a misogynist by the standards here, is constantly being ridiculed as the wife in the relationship. Another interesting observation is how the people quick to throw the word around never seem use it on their faves even though almost all the guys have had a discussion about the ladies' offences. The difference is in talking about women as a collective whole. When you say women are this--- problem. When you say Amya is this, you're calling out Amya alone, not an entire gender. If I say Adekunle is a sissy, I didn't say all men are sissies. Kapish? |

Skrrrrrrr: Now I am a misogynist too Abi.. The problem is that you guys are too dense, you don't even know the meaning of the term.... A misogynist is someone who HATES women. And white has done nothing that implies he hates women. Misogynists actually go out of their way to hurt women. Whitemoney merely spoke facts. And everything he said in that pod has been corroborated by people on the show and even in this thread. Many of the BBN women are into runs for money, there is nothing misogynistic about it. It is what it is. They even subtly implied it in their conversations and many women on here have alluded to the same fact. "I don't accept insult from women" is a cultural thing. Even women do not accept insult from their fellow women. Nothing hateful about that, cos you women can totally bring a man to nothing with your loud mouth. That is why a man who talks too much is called a woman. If a man insults me the way women do, he'd most likely catch a fist. But a man hitting another man isn't tagged a misandrist. Imagine if he hits the woman instead of avoiding her. He'd be crucified. One of you dolls even implied that white was a misogynist because he said the show was big brother. Just shows its not his comment, you guys just want an agenda. Who is a misogynist? Not the women body shaming each other in the house, dragging each others wig, pulling blankets, bad mouthing each other, its the one who says he won't tolerate insults from women. Same dude cooks for the women including the ones that cannot even lay their bed.
Carry your hypocrisy for head, you no get shame... Your opinion is valid. It's not even the BBN that git WM cancelled. It's the fact he said and I'm rephrasing " All women have a price... Just get money and you can get any woman you want" Statements like that are bound to get people into trouble. So can speak for all the women in Nigeria? All women? Really? If he said 'some women', that statement won't get the blowback it did. Now, for him directing his vitriol directly to women, Saying he won't take disrespect specifically from woman etc shows he doesn't like women and doesn't consider them his equal. Yeah so he's both a misogynist and a chauvinist in equal doses |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by Amya(f): 8:13am On Aug 27, 2023 |
I see the misogynists on this thread awoke when others were asleep This one pain them sha. Oh now, women and feminist are the death of the show. Lol. The reaching on this one I suppose they have to direct their rage and anger on someone, or an entire gender. Always wirks WM exhibited misogynistic tendencies when he said pretty offensive stuff about women on his Instagram page. Now in the house the trait is even more glaring than ever. "You can't let a woman talk to you like this" You can't let a woman do this and that to you" ...... comments like that reeks of misogyny because if you put an an entire female gender on the statement, you're otherwise saying that it's okay if a man does same to you. If WM only said "You can't let people talk to you like that" "You can't let people do this and that" then no one can ever associate him to misogyny. The other time, Frodd and WM were talking about Ceec's disrespectfulness and WM said he could never take such from a woman and Frodd even corrected him and said, not just women but men and women. See the difference btw a misogynist and one that isn't. Now for Seyi, only a sick mind could conjure up the that disgusting statement about his kid running trains on people's daughter because he wants to prove that a man is supposed to dominate women.i didn't even come that hard on him as I knew the context he was reaching for was that men are superior to women rather than sexualised his kid. It just came out wrong. That being said, biggies and producer influence are the ones ruining the show, not us innocent watchers. |

Skrrrrrrr: Why wont Biggie water down the violence when you people have started moving mad, overflogging every issue and trying to arm twist big brother. Do you think that forced reprimand and consequent apology by seyi was planned? Because you people tagged him a rapist and accused him of sexual assault even when he never mentioned rape. His comment were out of line and annoying, but he never said anyone should rape anybody. He personally has never attempted to assault any lady sexually. He never even goes sexual with them. But you tried to make it what it wasn't. His indiscretions did not warrant the outrage because women do trains all the time, in real life, as long as its consensual. Safari typed a long, gory epistle, trying to make seyi out to be a Rapist. All for what. Now she is groaning about the diluted violence... Same thing these wannabe Feminists, Amya and the other dense one does, mentioning "misogyny" over nothing. When the show started, they tried to put a tag on whitemoney. Anyone that says something that doesn't favour women is a misogynist or a Rapist, as long as its not their fave. That is the current modus operandi, for demarketing any man they do not like. I find it amusing because Amya said Alex's pussy stank. What kind of feminist makes such degrading remarks about women? That is even worse than whatever seyi said. Meaning it's just a game to her. There is no sincerity to the women right advocacy. As it is, feminism is going to be the death of this show. Whoever came up with the idea to use it as a tool to decampaign male housemates, did a nasty job. People would start working on egg shells and both the housemates and the organisers, would be wary going forward. All for what? Lies from the pit of hell. |

tooexclusive: Whitemoney advice to Ike seems to me like Whitemoney just over-reaching. Ike isn’t the type to isolate himself, so he likes mingling and Ceec and himself have become quite close (surprisingly for me) that they “joke around like gees that throws jabs at each other”... but “mr double chief” have been subtly antagonizing Ceec (from my perspective). To me, if you avoid Ceec, she is the kind that will do same. If you feel her energy is rough with you, you simply avoid her or tell her to change it.
Funny thing is if Ike acts on this advice from WM, and he overreacts, no one will see that foolishness emanated from WM. Exactly. WM an Doyin bonded earlier today over their mutual dislike for Ceec. So they're trying to isolate her from the only friend she has in that house which is Ike. He's advice wasn't coming from a good place. |
