It's worrisome to see common trends amongst most GOS or Church Founders especially in Nigeria.

1. They abuse their powers by arresting and putting in prison anyone who speaks against them. What then is the difference between them and politicians?

2. They oppress younger ministers they perceive carry unusual grace. And when such ministers try to leave to establish their own ministries, they frustrate them.

Gbagada is a landmark area in Lagos state, as it is very close to the third mainland bridge that leads to the Island (Lekki, Lagos Island, Onikan, Ikoyi). It is also close to the mainland (Ikeja, illupeju, Anthony, Maryland, Ojota) with just a bus to get you there. It is also 1 bus transport away from Yaba, Palmgroove, Onipkan, Anthony. Gbagada is home to many recreation centres for relaxation, exercise and sporting activities. There is a sports centre built by Coca-cola at Roundabout bus stop. There is currently a newly commissioned jetty at Bariga, for those desiring to take the waterways and water transport using boats or ferries to the island to get to work on time and keep up with appointments. Gbagada being the centre of Lagos has a very good road network and some areas hardly gets flooded even in the wake of the heaviest rainfall.

Job Responsibility

1. Supervise the implementation of IBEDC’s Health and Safety policies, procedures, processes, and plans.

2. Regional monitoring of compliance with health and safety policy guidelines.

3. Creatively promote positive Health and Safety culture within the Region, Business Hubs, and Service Units.

4. Prepares periodic and ad-hoc health and safety reports in accordance with relevant stipulations/guidelines.

5. Organize internal wellness for staff and promotional programs pertaining to Federal, State, and Local safety & environmental regulations.

6. Carry out other sundry assignments that may be assigned by the head of the section or division.

Skills & Competencies

Technical competencies

▪ Adequate knowledge and understanding of Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

▪ Adequate utilities industry knowledge and applicable HSE policies across the industry

▪ Understanding of applicable HSE policies, laws and regulations

▪ Ability to recognize and assess safety hazards, and develop abatement/control measures

▪ adequate Risk management skills (risks identification and mitigation)

▪ Adequate knowledge of safety and health standards, regulations, and liability issues.
