Glo excites subscribers with Go Russia offer

Lucky subscribers on the platform of fully integrated telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom, will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to Russia, courtesy of the company.

This follows the launch of a new promotion called “Go Russia” which the operator unveiled for the exclusive enjoyment of millions of its subscribers across the country.

According to Globacom, the #GoRussia promo will offer 22 lucky winners that will be selected through raffle draws the opportunity of travelling to Russia.

The promotion is open to all existing and new Glo customers on both the prepaid and postpaid platforms and will run from May 16 to July 8, 2018.

The statement by Globacom said,

“GO Russia promo is another golden opportunity to appreciate and reward our amazing subscribers who have stood solidly behind the brand over the years. Their patronage and support have been overwhelming and we have lined up the promo to appreciate them.”

It explained that subscribers are required to use N3,000 on Voice calls or a minimum of N5,000 on Voice and Data to qualify for the draw. “The more the airtime used by subscribers, the higher the chances of winning”, the telecom company stated and urged Nigerians to make utmost use of the opportunity provided by the promo to be part of the trip to Russia.

Winners will be contacted by Glo customer care.

Interested customers can participate in the promo by sending GO to 240 on the Glo network.

It's no glitch. That was the offer for several months - close to one year till they realised it probably wasn't paying them. They had to modify it in favour of this present one.
I've had no complaints too. And that's because of the voice and data bonuses I enjoyed. Take them away and there's absolutely no reason to be loyal to a network who's not loyal to it's subscribers. And to think they have the worst quality voice network. Every phone call is a battle.

You battle with glo voice calls too? Are you sure your phone is not faulty?

I've used a glo line since 2004. Glo is useless.

They tampered with this offer. Before now, when you do an online top up, the bonus goes to your bonus account while the main credit goes to your main account. You could use the bonus for calls and the main account for data subscription. But now, everything goes to the bonus account which you can only use for calls and sms.

Glo is useless. I'll port soon.

It was probably a glitch. I have been using glo since 2008 as well and I don't have any complaints about their network

In line with its status as the game changer in telecommunications services provision in Nigeria, Globacom limited has again taken another step towards the transformation of the ICT landscape in Nigeria with the construction of a multi-billion naira optic fibre submarine cable.

[B]Glo 2,[/b] the road map for the project was unveiled at a contract-signing ceremony between the national operator, Globacom, and global telecom solutions vendors, Huawei at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday.

According to Globacom’s Regional Director, Technical, Mr Sanjib Roy

“The new submarine cable will be approximately 850 kilometres long and will be integrated to Globacom’s existing terrestrial Backbone Network to provide additional service redundancy”, especially in Abuja and other parts of the country. Glo 2 will have the capacity of 12 Terabytes per second and will provide ultra-high speed connection to oil platforms and communities to empower data coverage and support Enterprise market growth in this part of Nigeria.”

Also speaking, the Managing Director of Huawei Nigeria, Mr Li Beifang, said that:

“Huawei is proud to partner with Globacom to build a revolutionary submarine cable using innovative and leading technology. We believe the cable would bring a new era of digitalization to Nigerian economy”.

Glo2 complements the Glo 1 international submarine cable built by Globacom in 2010. It is the only international submarine cable in Nigeria managed end to end, from Lagos to London, by one Company and currently provides sufficient bandwidth for the West Africa sub-region.
