The Silverbacks on Friday against all odds defeated group leaders Cape Verde 63-60 to increase their chances of qualifying for the 2025 FIBA Afrobasket scheduled to be held in Angola from August 12 to 24, 2025. The East Africans will be looking to win their third game of the group against a resurgent Nigerian side who defeated hosts Libya 75-70 to claim their first win of the qualifiers and keep their hopes of playing in Angola in August alive.
