AutosGenuine Automatic Transmission And Power Steering Fluid For Honda Vehicles by angels21(op): 10:16am On Jul 15, 2014
When do you need to change your ATF?
1. Honda recommends that the fluid should be changed after every 20000 km of driving for most of their cars
2. Changing your ATF is the first action to take when any of your transmission lights begins to blink
3. If the color of the ATF turns dark or you are experiencing shifting problems such as noise during each gear
change, delays in shifting or no shift at all, especially when the engine is cold or at high speed.
Note: Honda recommend's DW-1 ATF or Z-1 ATF as replacement fluid while Dextron II/III based ATF's should only be used
as TEMPORARY replacement. There is a ZW-1 fluid which is sold at the price of DW-1, Trust me, this isnt made by Honda

When to change your power steering fluid
1. Honda recommends that the fluid should be changed after every 30000 km for most of their cars
2. Fluid turns dark from colorless also indicates a need for PSF change
3. When you hear a humming or hissing sound each time you turn you steering wheel
Please note: On the last page of your car user's manual, Honda warns that in no occassion should you replace your
power steering fluid with an ATF fluid or other manufacturer's PS fluid as this may damage your power steering system
components.
