LiteratureRe: Flames Of Desire by Angelsss(op): 12:15am On Jul 03, 2016
FLAMES OF DESIRE BY ROSE AKPABIO-2
‘Common Eno that was seriously cruel as funny as it looked’ Niyiola couldn’t believe her friend could extend her horrid behavior to a brother in church.
Smiling mischievously she immediately increased the speed of the car, Eno loved having fun and being mean just felt so good. She knew very well her friend Ola, as she fondly called her was right but she didn’t regret her actions.
‘Won’t you say something’? Ola asked feeling uncomfortable by her friend’s sudden silence…Eno was very unpredictable and impulsive. They had met in the university and since became very good friends… it was a kind of parasitic relationship as Niyiola had so much to gain from it.
Being the only daughter of Chief Effiong, her very beautiful friend was overly pampered…she had everything she wanted just at the snap of her fingers. Little wonder she was nicknamed ‘princess’ back in their school days…Eno had been one of those girls from a high class family who stepped on toes without remorse. She wore the latest weaves and travelled frequently overseas for her holidays.
Niyiola had easily won her friendship because unlike Eno, she was from a struggling lower middle class family and she had to be serious with her studies. She was one of the very best products of their department, Eno rarely attended lectures… according to her ‘I wasn’t meant for suffering’. From helping her with term papers and other assignments, they became closer as each day passed by and their bond became very strong…they were more like sisters now. But Ola knew her friend wasn’t a favorite of many people including the church members and she had tried talking sense into her all to no avail.
‘Well I have nothing to say… I know he’s the guy from church…’ Eno hadn’t the slightest show of remorse for her actions…she believed herself lucky to be a high born… and if others were in her shoe they’d probably treat her the same. She just didn’t have that penchant for the less privileged as she referred to them.
‘I think you went too far, although you sounded funny at first…but now I have rethink…let’s find him and apologize…he’s the guy the pastor anointed as the new choir director and I believe it’s unfair to treat out church member like that’ Ola explained quietly…she didn’t want another quarrel that usually ensued her attempt to put her friend on the right path..
Eno smirked…her friend was always trying to be the people pleaser, the one everybody liked…the preacher… ‘Sorry madam….what’s that his name again?’
‘Uchenna’
‘Yea…Uchenna or whatever he calls himself…I know very well am not blind…he was anointed in church yesterday… I just don’t like that guy…he feels so confident and smart…don’t you see the way he speaks or ask questions during Sunday school? And it annoys me more because he’s broke’ she just hated broke guys who acted like they were perfect
Ola couldn’t believe her ears… her friend was ridiculous Uchenna overconfident? She was totally saying the opposite…. ‘Am disappointed in you Eno…you and I know that guy is one of the most humble brothers in church’
‘it’s like you have feelings for him, the way you’re defending him o…’ Eno winked…
‘Can you believe that guy asked my father to help him get a job’? she continued…
‘So why didn’t your dad help him…’ Ola was a bit curious…knowing chief Effiong well, he was a very generous man.
‘That was few weeks ago, I saw his curriculum vitae on Dad’s study table…well trust me …I hid it…why should he ask my father for help? I know his type…they love to exploit rich people instead of fighting for their own success’.
Ola was speechless, Eno was really selfish and unbelievable…she couldn’t blame the girl…her mother had spoilt her silly.
‘You are really cruel my friend…am not with you on this one…how could you do that? What if you were in his shoes would you be happy’? Ola had to say a piece of her mind. She’d ignored all of her misgivings since they became friends…she was silent because she knew Eno would help her secure a job and many other benefits. She had gotten her a job in her fiance’s company, actually they both worked there although on different payrolls but it was more than all Ola could ever dream of. However, she had to call her friend to order… she was losing her humanity gradually….
She felt stung as she listened to her friend… Eno couldn’t believe her ears…this girl sitting beside her owed her everything ….her job, her success even her miserable life, and she had the temerity to talk to her insolently.
Angrily, she brought the car to a halt…… ‘Get out’ she was gentle at first… but when Ola didn’t budge she pushed her out of the car roughly.
‘Yeye dy smell’ she cursed as she drove angrily away.
***
‘My god’ Ola gasped as she regained her composure after being pushed out of the car… Eno had gone too far this time around. But there was nothing she could do…if she chose to retaliate by any action whatsoever, Eno would definitely get her sacked from the company…she was like that…very impulsive.
Standing on the road wasn’t funny as the clouds were gathering…it was going to rain soon and her dear friend had abandoned her…
Just as about to start walking towards the nearest road junction on that street…she spotted him…her boss, and Eno’s fiancé.
She shivered a bit and started walking… Olatemi Bashiru was every woman’s dream, he was very kindhearted and welcoming in contrast to his future wife Eno.
Many times Ola had wondered the attraction that drew the two together… they were a pair of opposites and many times she wished she had a man like Temi. He was just too good…. Yearly, he sponsored many children from the Delta creeks…so they could have a taste of quality education.
She just liked Temi a bit too much, considering the fact he was Eno’s fiancé …she secretly desired him…and his gentle brooding eyes and his wonderful eyes called to her…
She walked faster and prayed he hadn’t spotted her…. But her prayers hadn’t reached the first heaven.
‘Ola’ he called gently and beckoned her to get in….
Temi knew when someone was avoiding him…he wasn’t a child to perceive that…
In the early days of his relationship with Eno….he’d been quite close to Ola but all of a sudden she became cordial and that didn’t sit right with him…
He’d wondered many times if he had offended her in any way, he’d even asked Eno about it but as usual she didn’t care…
Eno was very self centered and was only interested in things that brought her pleasure at the expense of others but he still loved her anyway…
‘Hi’ Ola greeted weakly….she just wished he wasn’t so nearby… she pressed her hands to her skirt and stared down at them…
‘You look funny doing that’ she reminded him of his little daughter, Barbara ‘Bibi’ for short…. The child he had out of wedlock some few years before he met Eno, but he was too scared to tell her about it…he knew for sure…Eno would dump him, if she ever heard about that…
‘ummm…’Ola stuttered not knowing how to respond as she averted his gaze upon her…his eyes were just to seducing…she couldn’t stand them
Temi now had proof something was up…she was behaving weird like he made her uncomfortable…he decided to keep shut…
‘So where are you heading to’? he inquired
‘the salon’ she lied not wanting him driving to her house…if Eno got to hear about that, she was going to be in deep trouble….

Flames of Desire by Rose Akpabio-1
‘Am so happy for you love’ Amara smiled cheerfully as she fanned the corn that was fast turning brown not able to contain her joy she dropped the fan and hugged Uchenna tightly.
‘Baby you’re overreacting…it’s just the post of Choirmaster and nothing else’ it wasn’t as if he took the post lightly but he wanted more out of life…serving God was no doubt one of his dreams but he needed a job badly.
As a young graduate, this year would make it his third, of being unemployed after studying Banking and Finance and emerging with the award of first class honors. It was just very difficult to find a job in Nigeria…he was comforted his fate would be different considering the fact that he was a first class product. However attending more than twenty job interviews had taught him just one thing: it was all about connections. Job seeking had become a political arena of its own.
How was he ever going to get a job when his poor parents practically tied their belts to send him to the university and with the help of subsequent scholarships he was able to scale through. He had no rich family member to aid him in this quest…for him....his future had no course but still he chose to believe…
Amara his girlfriend had been a good influence on him…if not her encouragement and words of kindness, he would’ve returned to his hometown long time back. But for her, he chose to believe, to see light when surrounded by darkness and breathe when air was extinguished. Simply, Amara was his saving grace…she brought him back to God and made his faith grow stronger in Jesus.
‘I know what you’re thinking about’ she released him and continued studying his features… Uchenna was the love of her life… she just couldn’t help but love such a wonderful man and his heart was beautiful. Their relationship was rare to find… while she encouraged him to keep his struggle alive… he advised her to go back to school after being rejected admission for seven years courtesy of J.A.M.B.
‘Am sorry baby …I promise not to sound like an ingrate… am happy to be the new choirmaster of the Pentecostal Assembly Church’.
‘Now that’s my love’ she smiled and returned to face her corn… her mother was a trader who sold food items in the large Owashi market, Delta. She hated it when Amara lazied around in the house… so she encouraged her daughter to start a business… that idea gave birth to the corn business as Uchenna would call it. She sold mostly in the evenings and he will join her after a long day of teaching in a local Nursery where he was paid Ten thousand Naira monthly.
‘Let me get going… I have to prepare some songs for rehearsals tommorrow’ he rose to leave but not before hugging his angel…
‘I will miss you too dear’ she whispered softly as he made for his ‘face me I face you’ apartment…
He always felt better after spending time with her…there was something special about his love… she was not like any other woman …with the little he had he gave her some cheap gifts which she accepted gladly.
Suddenly he heard the loud screech of tires behind and he turned to see a speeding car with two ladies who laughed loudly …. The driver either did it deliberately or was too self absorbed to notice she’d splashed water all over his only shirt that wasn’t bought from the okrika section.
‘My god are you blind’? he screamed at the car ….to his surprise, she drove backwards…then maybe he overreacted…there were still nice Nigerians.
As the car came nearer he quickly recognized the female faces… they were both his church members but at arm’s length…
‘So because I splashed you water you are screaming at me like you’re mad’ the one who drove spoke mockingly …she was the daughter of one Chief Effiong who was a Deacon and besides her was her friend Niyiola.
He couldn’t believe his ears… who said that after splashing someone that amount of dirty water?
‘But you’ve ruined my shirt’ he spoke gently not wanting to cause a scene…it was his nature to be gentle…
‘And so? How much is this cheap shirt?’ she began looking him over with a mocking glare… Uche felt glued to where he stood… he’d never been this humiliated…
‘Well since you cannot apologise…you didn’t have to insult my person’ he replied…
‘You call that insult? Well here is the insult… I hear from many little birds that you are jobless …have this and get a designers dude’ Eno threw the naira notes at him and drove away with Niyola laughing….
Uche stared down at the paper notes that lay scattered all over the floor… what sort of embarrassment could this be? He decided to resume his walk… God had to act very fast…he needed great restoration from such a life of poverty and lack.
He hadn’t walked far when a guy yelled at him….
‘Bros go back and pick that money…no dey form …I sabi your type… you no say you need am but you dey pretend… well if you no want I don take am’
Uche held himself from breaking down like a woman who lost her husband…. But he wasn’t quick enough… a tear escaped….

This is so wrong... "RIP to a fan"? . . "I didn't force anyone to read" ...."it's not your business "??

Wow, I'm a writer too and people giving you the worst of all criticism is part of the job, it doesn't mar you, criticism makes you.

Someone once said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen " Why ask for comments if you ain't ready to hear them?

I believe the point of posting on NL is to have an increased Fan base. I'm no critic, i say what i perceive to be the truth.

No one's going to remember the people whose comments pissed you off, what they will remember is how you reacted to it, which obviously was very rude.

You could have made it right by apologizing to the rest and ignore the few... Thousands of people view this topic and it took less than 10 people to show the the thousands you don't care if they read your story or not. You never apologized to the person you said RIP to, maybe you should, that might still help people realize you're human like the rest of us and bad comments actually hits us bad.

I know i have said too much, hopefully you don't quote me and tell me RIP or that i don't matter...we'll see.

You are an amazing writer girl, best scripts and beautiful write-ups but don't let that get to your head, it's actually people who say bad things about us that encourage us to be better.

Ciao.

comments like these piss me off...I know you are a writer and there are many writers out there..,
I won't say am good...in fact am nothing and am just budding...
if you are good at tolerating people... then that's you...
I hate it when people get personal or offer very destructive critism..
you can tell me my story is not well written or I don't punctuate well but don't attack my person...
and to those that may see me as a rude person..,fine...
where were they when I was being attacked?
frankly I don't care...
and this happened weeks ago...
don't tell me ...all you read from this thread was my rude comments?
I haven't gained anything positive from yours....
maybe I was wrong or maybe not..,
but many corrected me without sounding this cynical...
let sleeping dogs lie..

‘ I don’t believe you…all these’ his voice broke at the realization brought to his table by Nike…her eyes gave her away…for the first time, he saw in them honesty… she wasn’t lying.
Maybe he didn’t want to believe it…but how could a friend betray another like that?
‘it’s true Bode…you have to do something quick to get her back’ Nike frowned as she saw the strange number.
‘excuse me’ she left the room to take the call somewhere else.
‘am so sorry Udeme’ Bode cried….he rejected her and thought the worst of her… he should have listened to his heart. Udeme was a swan…a dove…pure and beautiful, and he had hurt her…he had to see her immediately.
‘Madam I wasn’t able to deliver the goods because the police arrested me and accused me wrongly…the goods are in the boot…’ Yakubu lied….he had to speak that way as the men stared at him suspiciously… he hoped Nike understood.
‘okay…I have heard’ she was careful…surely people were listening to the call.
Her heart sank….she quickly ran to the room. She hoped she was with a gun because Nadine was coming after her. Yakubu had been arrested…and sooner or later, she would be implicated in his trial. She had to leave the country as soon as possible, but first…somebody had to kiss the earth.
‘are you still thinking about what to do’? she asked a confused Bode.
‘I think I should go to her house’ he replied as he carefully packed all the documents Nike had brought.
He was going to expose Nadie for who she really was, against his wish, Adenike had advised him not to involve the police….
He had to listen to her…she had her reasons which he didn’t care to know…but first things first, Udeme had to know the truth.
***
‘how do you feel right now’? Duncan pressed his fingers on her forehead and she smiled…reminded her of her mum when she was a child.
‘am fine Dee…just lonely…Bode has refused to pick my calls. I thought of going to meet with him’.
‘about that….i think you should stay far from that guy. Just forget him and move on, he’s the cause of your problems’ Dee advised.
He was sure of it…
‘you make it look so easy…he loves me very much and I love him too’ she returned.
‘ he loves you very much? Listen yourself, you sound quite unsure’….she looked away….
‘why does he ignore your calls? Wake up Ud, am saying this because I care’ and he meant ever word.
‘no….you can’t ruin my life Duncan…am over you…over the past and Bode is my future…I will not listen to you anylonger’.
What was she saying? ‘ Udeme, I don’t understand you’
She swallowed…what was she to lose anyway? She no longer had feelings for him, so she may as well let him in on the truth.
‘I have always loved you Dee…but you were too blind…or maybe I wasn’t too beautiful and you fell for my friend. I felt very hurt but Bode had repaired my damaged heart…he has lifted my burdens’ she smiled as she spoke of him…
Duncan was stunned….she had been in love with him all this while?
As he was about to respond, the door flung wide open…it was his angel! His Nadine….
Then he remembered the portrait he’d intended showing to Ud.
‘what happened to you’? Udeme rushed forward to meet her friend….she looked distressed.
Nadie swallowed and closed her eyes….she had to play this well.
‘Adenike….she told me of her plans to ruin us both for attempting to snatch Bode from her’…
‘what?’ Duncan relayed his surprise….
‘she sent a thug after me…and she told me she sent one to Udeme…and they raped her…I don’t know if she was lying but I almost lost my life’.
Duncan and Udeme exchanged glares. Nadine hadn’t known about the rape….maybe she was right? Afterall Adenike had never liked her…
‘god….what have I done to deserve this’?
Udeme broke down while Dee and Nadine tried to pull her together.
‘am so sorry Ud….am going to deal with her. Just trust me on this’ Nadie comforted her….
They all rose and followed the sound of the vehicle….
Nadie froze where she stood…what was he doing here?

The photographer 22
something had changed his mind about loving her….maybe his mother had gotten to him.
She shrugged as she peered out the window, the clouds were gathering and darkness and rain were coming soon. She missed him so much…she still loved him, still cared, but his mother had already told her to stay off.
Her phone rang …maybe it was him! She quickly rushed to answer.
‘hello Dee’ it was Duncan…her euphoria died immediately.
‘Udeme have you heard or seen your friend Nadine’? he was worried, he had called her ten times and she wasn’t picking.
‘no, is something wrong’? Udeme felt the panic in his voice.
‘no am fine….how are you doing? You don’t sound too happy yourself’ he observed. Her cheerful voice was replaced with this dampened…this cold stranger. His Udeme was gone and he blamed Bode for it. From day one, he knew that guy was badluck but Udeme had been carried away and couldn’t think straight.
‘am coming over….i’m not busy at the moment and I have lots to discuss with you’ he blew her a kiss and made for his car.
‘where are these keys’ he searched his pockets and drawers but he couldn’t find them. This was quite frustrating, maybe he’d placed them in Nadine’s room….
‘here you are’ he was right, the bunch of keys sat majestically on her dressing table…. Something caught his eye….
A portrait of a very pretty girl, he smiled as he fingered the picture…splendid indeed! Where had she gotten this from? He didn’t remember getting this for her or her getting it by herself. He picked it up and examined it, then he paused ,filled with wonder by the words that embraced the frame.
‘from The Artmaster with love’
‘artmaster’ he mused….who was the artmaster? He tried to recall where he’d heard that name…maybe Udeme knew about it. So he picked it up and left for her place.
***
‘get down from the car’ the men in Uniform shouted….Nadie closed her eyes and prayed….thankfully the bullets hadn’t touched her…she only wished it had touched the driver who was obviously an assassin.
She took a closer look at him as the men bundled him out of the car…he looked very familiar.
‘Sorry madam…please step out gently’ one of the men helped her from the car.
‘what’s going on here’? she whispered to the man.
‘this man here, is a high profile assassin, you are lucky we trailed this car…we have searched for him for years and finally he is in our net’
Yakubu grunted angrily as he was dragged towards the van by the secret service Agency. He knew his game was up! He knew he would never be free again, above all he’d failed to deliver and Adenike was going to be in serious trouble. He had to do something….
‘I want to speak to my lawyer’ he thundered to the agent who stood beside Nadine.
‘shut your bloody mouth…..you have many things to tell us…for instance who sent you after this innocent lady’?
Yakubu sneered, innocent? She was far from innocent, his only wish was to warn Nike…trouble was coming.
‘it’s okay allow him to call his lawyer….with all the evidence we have…he can’t escape prison or death this time’ the chief agent advised.
‘madam….you may be on your way now, be very careful and we shall get back to you when we begin thorough investigations bothering on this criminal’
Nadie nodded and thanked the man and left…she was in serious trouble as it dawned on her….that man was a thug. She had seen his face somewhere and she feared he was the one that she sent to eliminate Adenike.
This only meant one thing, Nike knew of all her plans…and she was prepared to revenge.
‘I cannot lose this war’ she spat as she hurried….if by any chance Nike got to Bode before her….then she was finished.
She paused ….she needed to re-strategize…she needed another plan. She didn’t foresee this turn out of events.
Quickly she brought out her phone…ten missed calls? Her heart raced…. Had he discovered she had been cheating on him?
she reasoned Nike must have arranged for her elimination….somehow she knew she was heading to Bode’s house and she got wind of that and sent that assassin.
Even if Nike would tell Bode about her relationship with Duncan…that couldn’t stop anything….his parents were already taken with her…all she had to do was play her cards well.
She had to see Udeme…she had to change her approach.

Nice interlude(suspense) once again, but d problem with everything,is that too much of everything is bad. Your story is unravelling very well, but my dear entice us with the power of descriptive writing, make us feel we are reading adichie or grisham's work. This story is better than a telemundo script, please angelss dont make me feel like am watching telemundo. But overall fantastic grasp of continuity. Keep it coming gal. smiley :
thank you...
but you are very funny sha..,
don't you think you're lifting the pole too high?
by comparing me or asking me to emulate Adichie and Grisham?
those big names started like me....before they got to that point...
am just a budding writer and I believe I will get there...
my main concern for now is entertaining... keeping you glued...
just try and appreciate my little efforts more...
thanks

THE PHOTOGRAPHER-17
Udeme shifted restlessly in the cab, it was getting darker and she was quite sure it was around 10 o’clock as she checked her phone to confirm. They were caught in a traffic jam and they were the last on the line, a very long queue of cars it was. She wondered if this was yet another sign that her and Bode were not meant to be but she refused to believe that. The traffic jam was just a mere co-incidence, she would still see him for the last time tonight before thinking of a plan. She couldn’t give up easily on Bode, she was sure that he loved her although he had his weaknesses but she trusted in his love. She braced herself with hope, she would seek for advice from Nadie, with the help of her best friend she would win Bode back.
Her phone shone and vibrated on her laps, it was Nadine ‘Udeme where are you right now’? she quickly explained the traffic jam situation. Being satisfied her friend was alone with Bode in the hospital, she dropped the phone and faced the cab driver who was eavesdropping. She observed him for a little while, it was quite weird for such a young man who spoke excellent English to be a cab driver but then again, this was Nigeria. ‘Madam, there is another route we could take to the hospital but you would have to pay extra’ he offered,Udeme considered this for a moment. ‘And what route could that be’? she asked staring at the young man suspiciously, he wanted more money and she guessed that other route would be longer. ‘Brooks Avenue’, she considered his suggestion and checked her purse to be sure she had enough. She didn’t want any embarrassment from any driver, she had just the exact amount he had asked for. There was no point of hanging around such tight traffic which could take few more hours to clear up, she had to hurry before Mrs Thomas could return to take over from Nadie.

Danga Roland lowered himself upon the heap of sound that lay by the roadside, he felt like a chameleon, having the need to blend with his environment. He spotted a police van from where he hid and prayed they moved further or his ‘job’ would be ruined. He was a wanted man already in the country, he was one of the highest paid assassin in West Africa, many politicians had employed his services. He smiled as he remembered his first job in The Congo, he had been hired to destroy a certain writer who had posed as an opposition to the government. He had administered a very deadly poison to the man while taking a picture with him as one of his fans, all he did was simple, he had poisoned the tip of his nail and had dug into the man’s skin while hugging him along other fans. It was a natural death to the masses but to him, it was his first success.
‘Yakubu’ was only a pseudonym, he had hidden his real identity since the day he began training, only his family knew him so well and that had always exposed them to threats. So with all what he’d earned from the jobs, he sent his mother and other siblings outside the country. He had done different kind of jobs but tonight’s was going to be a bit odd for him. The client was a female, he hadn’t met her in person but through the Kabarl, an online agency that used pornography as a cover for their assassination network. She had asked for the best and was ready to pay heavily to get the job done. He sighed with relieve as he saw the police van on the highway, now he had to prepare, he took out a wrap of cocaine and sniffed it gently but the beep of his phone disrupted his moment.
The text was clear and apt, it read ‘She is Coming, Am driving a brown Volvo. KABARL. He felt his blood rush but he controlled himself, the drug was getting to him. The woman client had given him specific instructions and he was sure to follow them through but he wondered briefly why a woman should inflict such havoc on another woman.
He steadied himself as he sighted the Brown coloured Volvo and luckily the road was empty, he rushed out and waved for his partner to stop the car. It was time for another job.

Udeme suddenly felt scared as she saw a strange man waving at their cab and was more confused when the driver headed towards his direction. ‘What’s going on?’ she asked feeling more afraid, but he ignored her and drove faster, she felt her hearbeat increase, she tried opening the door but it was locked. She felt so helpless, was she going to be kidnapped? Or killed? Who was after her? She had no other choice but to scream but she was too late as the other man silenced her with a piece of clothe while the other packed the car .
She felt her back against the heap of sand and looked around helplessly, she couldn’t scream as her mouth had been covered with a piece of clothe. She cried helplessly as she watched the man loosen his belt, she tried moving but he held her down and pulled down her skirt with such a rush. The other man stood watching while making a call, she felt like dying, she wished the earth could just open up and swallow her. But it was too late as the man parted her laps and thrust deeply into them and she gave a loud scream only she could hear. The last thing she could see was a flash of white light and she went numb.
Yakubu rose up quickly and beckoned on the other man whose job was to take pictures. ‘Are they okay, clear enough or I should take new ones’? he asked fearing the wrath of Yakubu. Yakubu went through the pictures and shook his head, ‘we have to go again, the rag over her mouth spoils the whole picture, makes the situation look like a rape but love making is what is intended’. The young man nodded and prepared his camera for another round.
Yakubu sent the pictures directly to the mail of his female client and was yet to receive a credit alert. He waited patiently while the other man dressed up the girl who was now awake but felt too weak to struggle or utter a word. His phone gave a loud ring and he moved away to take the call, ‘Done’ was all he said and cut the call. He wasn’t a man for many words. ‘let’s go’, he called out roughly to the other man and they walked away leaving the bleeding girl behind.
Udeme couldn’t accept what had just happened to her, was she raped? No…she couldn’t, she sat dejectedly on the sand as tears streamed down her face. Who would she tell? She wished she had listened to Duncan. She rose up slowly and picked her phone, she had to tell Nadie as quickly as possible, she needed to see a doctor. She dialed the phone severally but there was no answer, she had no other choice but to call Duncan.
‘Hello Udeme where are you? Are you home or the hospital’? she was silent and couldn’t hold it down any longer, she broke down into sobs, ‘what’s wrong, Is it Bode? Is he Okay where are you’? but she couldn’t bring herself to say those words. She closed her eyes and whispered ‘Duncan…I’ve been raped’ he was silent for a while then finally asked ‘where are you’?.
