PoliticsUmo Eno’s Legal Team Rattled by Aniokon(op): 3:18pm On Jun 20, 2023
as Uniuyo Staff Earlier Declared Non-existent Appears as Witness at Tribunal

The legal team of Pastor Umo Eno was rattled at the Governorship Petition Tribunal for over one hour following the appearance of a subpoenaed witness, a staff of the University of Uyo, who had earlier been declared non-existence by the institution.

Mr. Daniel Edet Akpan, who was subpoenaed by the court, is the Uniuyo staff who endorsed the Certified True Copies (CTC) of Umo Eno’s academic credentials, which Senator Bassey Albert used in his petition against Eno.

Contrarily, when the Director of Academic Affairs of the university, Dr Ime Akpabio, appeared as witness in the court on June 16, 2023, he claimed that Mr Akpan who signed the CTC copies was non-existent as a staff of the institution.

At the resumed hearing on June 20, 2023, Mr Akpan’s appearance in the court shocked the defendant’s counsel such that their lead counsel, Paul Usoro SAN excused himself and went outside, ostensibly to study the witness’s written address.

The court, which subsequently announced recess for 30minutes eventually resumed after over an hour, to examine Mr Akpan’s evidence.

Led in this evidence by Tunde Falola, Mr Daniel Akpan tendered his letter of employment, IPPIS letter as well as pay advice covering 2021 to May 2023 from the university to establish that he is a bona fide staff of the institution.

The witness carefully identified all the documents which UNIUYO had certified through him as well as the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) receipt for the payment of the certification.

Asked if he certified the documents in his capacity as a staff of the university, Mr Akpan answered in the affirmative. He went on to affirm that he was assigned from the office of the registrar to certify Umo Eno’s academic records. According to him Mr AniediAbasi Udofia was the registrar then.

On cross-examination, Akpan said part of the job schedule of an Admin officer includes receiving documents assigned to him for the office of the registrar and can also certify documents assigned to him from the Office of the Registrar.

Asked who drafts letters for the Registrar, he said the Registrar can assign anyone in his office for the assignment.

He told the court he rose as a Clerical Officer to Admin Officer, after he studied Quantity Surveying at the University of Uyo.

When Uwemedimo Nwoko suggested that he was not an Admin officer because his salary on the pay slip did not reflect what was on the promotion letter, Mr Akpan said he was not the one determining his pay.

According to him, he was posted from the Registrar’s office to the Faculty of Environmental Science in April 2023.

PoliticsBREAKING: Govt About To Arrest Oba's Witness by Aniokon(op): 2:13pm On Jun 20, 2023
A star witness for the YPP in the ongoing Governorship Tribunal Mr. Daniel Akpan is to be arrested on the orders of the Akwa Ibom State Government.

Akpan who is a staff of the University of Uyo contrary to the lies the Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Ime Akpabio told the Court last week that he is not a staff member of the university had tendered his pay slip up to the month of May has also tendered his IPPIS letter.

It could be recalled that the witness had earlier informed that Umo Eno has a fake certificate.

In the witness box, Mr. Daniel Akpan confirmed same with relevant documents backing up his claims.

The overwhelming evidence had rattled Umo Eno's team made up of Paul Usoro, SAN, Emmanuel Enoidem leading them to trigger an extra judicial plot to arrest, torture and maim the witness.

Barr Emmanuel Enoidem was furious and desperately was busy making phone calls to Government agents from the court asking them to send in security to arrest the UNIUYO staff.

At the moment, there is a heavy presence of Security personnel armed to the teeth and checking every vehicle going out of the court premises.

An insider told our roving reporter that the UNIUYO Staff had earlier escaped assassination attempt when it was clear that he was to appear in court.

A likelihood of a bloodbath looms in Uyo if the witness is not safe.

We Are Proud of You, Our Son

Your Excellency
Dist. Senator Godswill Akpabio,
President of the Senate,
Federal Republic of Nigeria.

While others celebrate and revel in your emergence as President of the 10th Senate, we find pride more in your journey that culminated in this milestone. For years, we have followed in awe but in deference to God’s supreme will, your sojourn through undulating hills and tempestous nights, to your current date with blazing glory.

Our love and support for you have remained fervent and ever-present through your dear wife, our Queen Mother, Her Excellency, Mrs Ekaete Unoma Akpabio. She has been most amazing and deserves all the accolades there are to give.

Akpan Ima Ajid!

When the opportunity to put our best foot forward came in the 2023 senatorial elections, we saw the need for collaboration and constantly emphasized on this. The result of this collaboration was the collapsing of party boundaries and mobilization by our women, of voters across party divides to vote for you. It was time to repay you yet again for your massive and genuine love for Akwa Ibom women. This love spilled over for other APC candidates in the election particularly the presidential election.

This we did not only in the hope that you will always be available to attend to our collective concerns, but moreso because we owe you deep gratitude for all you have done for us in the past, for our husbands and for our children. For us, it was another good opportunity to say “THANK YOU”.

Mkpouto Akwa Ibom

You have been thoroughly refined through the various offices you have occupied. Asides being greatly blessed with a good sense of judgement, you have built sufficient goodwill over the years and developed enormous capacity, good enough, to deliver on any assignment. You exhibit inexhaustible tolerance for people generally and those you lead particularly. In service, you have become the antifragile leader that is required for these times. As mothers, our love is for everyone but in leadership, you — Sen. Godswill Akpabio — will always be our first preference.

Our most illustrious son, we want to reassure you of our solidarity in prayers and politically as well. You have filled us with immense pride and we trust God to endow you with the wisdom and grace to steer the ship of the 10th senate in ways that will bring great satisfaction to Nigerians. We are confident that our President, HE Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will find in you a complimentary and dependable partner in the building of a new Nigeria.

Soar higher OUR PRIDE, the Uko Akwa Ibom.

PoliticsWaec Disowns Umo Eno’s Certificates by Aniokon(op): 9:23pm On Jun 17, 2023
GOV'SHIP TRIBUNAL: WAEC DISOWNS UMO ENO’S CERTIFICATES

..insist as at 1981, they did not have pictures on certificates as shown by Umo Eno

An official from West African Examimation Council (WAEC) who was subpoenaed for the resumed hearing at the ongoing Governorship election tribuna on Friday 16th June, 2023l, Mr Adekanmbi Olaolu, a Senior Legal Officer told the Governorship tribunal that the examination body did not have photographs of the examination body's candidates on its certificates as at 1981 against that which is tendered by the defendant, Mr Umo Eno and equally dismissed that WAEC cannot issue different certificates to the same candidate who sat for different WAEC examinations with the same number in the case of the defendant.

Olaolu while being cross examined by Paul Usoro, SAN further told the court that WAEC does not have any evidence to tender with respect to Mr Umo Eno's alleged WAEC certification of 1998 in his possession.

Earlier counsel to Senator Bassey Albert , Ahmed Raji, SAN had tendered certified true copies of WAEC candidates both school based and external taken for 1981,1983 and 1998 for the court and counsels of the defendant to peruse but they did not find Mr Umo Eno's name .

Tunde Falola Esq, in the legal team of the petitioner rejected the the student form so tendered by Dr Ime Akpabio, Director of Academic Affairs of the University of Uyo who was also subpoenaed during cross examination as it was in variance with certified true copies of the form earlier issued by the University of Uyo registry. .

Dr Akpabio had earlier contradicted himself when he said University of Uyo does not have an Administrative Officer 1 in the Directorate of Academic Affairs who signed the certified true copies of the evidences before the tribunal but later said the University has Administrative Officer 1 in his Directorate, that the expulsion list and expulsion letter to Umo Eno as signed by Mr P.J Effiong then Registrar of the institution are correct .

Akpabio again contradicted himself to say that the Administrative Officer 1 is low in ranking to have endorsed the certified true copy even as he accepted that the e receipt from the University of Uyo so tendered by the plaintiff is genuine as it is a condition for issuance of certified true copies of the university documents.

The subpoenaed witnesses and documents comes as a command for one to appear before a court to show if the alleged forged school certificates and the expulsion of the defendant from the University of Uyo are real.

Senator Bassey Albert in his petition to the tribunal is alleging that the defendant, Mr Umo Eno has questionable WAEC certificate (s) which did not qualify the defendant to have been so admitted talkless of graduation from the University of Uyo.

“When it is time to screen students out of the University in their final year, the Records Officer writes to the Vice-Chancellor through the Registrar. I was in Records. I was the Snr. Asst Registrar. I screened him”, Dr. Akpabio noted. The question legal minds are asking if he only screened Mr Umo Eno at the time from his department when they.were several officers in the records Department equally doing the screening.

A senior staffer in the University of Uyo (name withheld) who came to witness proceedings at the tribunal while speaking to newsmen confirmed that both the position of Administrative Officer and Daniel Akpan exist as the comments by the Dr Ime Akpabio was purely to deceive the court as he has been compromised.

The question is , which WAEC certificate exactly merited and gave Mr Umo Eno admission to study Political Science/Public Administration in the University of Uyo when he has only 4 credits in all from two or three different sittings without Mathematics and English Language against the known University of Uyo policy of having five credits including Mathematics and English Language ?

Hearing at the tribunal continues on Saturday June 17 as Distinguished Bassey Albert, YPP Governorship Candidate the petitioner is expected to present more witnesses before closing his case.
