Why did she jack up the price? Her response was, "This S1 will have comments". I almost died laughing. Of course it's going to have comments with the SEC, that's why it's called the 'comments' stage.

We talked her into taking 2 payments for the $10k, half upfront and half on completion but we really should have dumped her right there. She didn't want to keep her word on that either so I paid her the last payment before the fee was due and just got rid of her.

Turns out she never filed an s1 before and her whole act was a sham. She was desperate for cash and nickled and dimed us the whole time. I laugh about it now but it wasn't funny when it happened. We lost over a month of transaction time because she couldn't tell the truth.

The client was going public on the OTCBB with a valuation of around $5m, her suggestion was to raise capital pre public for $1 per share because the company would have a hard time qualifying for the NASDAQ if it started at anything less than $1.

This company was years away from even considering the NASDAQ as an option but her in experience and need to prolong the deal to rape us for fees was so blatant and careless that she did everything she could to add as much confusion to the deal as possible so that no one knew what was going on, therefore she got away with a lot and was able to pick our pockets for weeks before we got rid of her.

The moral of the story is this: not all attorneys are rich. The truth is, most are very modest as far as their earnings. There is too much competition these days so there are predatory lawyers out there that will lie, double talk, triple talk and run you around in circles.

The company says it has proven its value by inhibiting the growth of blood vessels, thereby inhibiting blood supply to the tumour. Half-time results from the Phase I solid tumour trial of Atu027 are “encouraging”, as the drug has so far shown to be safe and well-tolerated. Silence hopes to finish the Phase I trial in the second half of this year, and release data before year-end.

The release of updated data from the trial was made at the recently-convened ASCO meeting in Chicago, IL.

Atu111, for the treatment of acute lung injury, is Silence’s most advanced candidate outside of the oncology field. It combines the company’s DACC drug-delivery system with AtuRNAi.

The product’s target is being kept under wraps by Silence at the moment, but preclinical models using the DACC delivery system have shown sustained knockdown of up to three weeks in the lung endothelium.

As far as collaborative partners go, Silence is getting ready to start a Phase IIb trial for PF-‘655 in the second half of 2011, which is licensed to Quark Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer for the treatment of diabetic macular edema. Silence hopes Quark and Pfizer will report data from the trial later this year.

Quark is also developing QPI-1002 for the treatment of delayed graft function and acute kidney injury in partnership with Novartis.

In September 2010, quark kicked off a Phase II trial of QPI-1002 for the treatment of delayed graft function and plans to begin a second Phase II trial of the product in acute kidney injury during the course of this year.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case across all Digital Marketing channels and unlike easily measurable channels like Pay Per Click (PPC), other digital channels like Display Advertising or Social Media are not so easy to measure. This does not mean that they are not effective channels.

Is Social Media Profitable?
If the term profitable is taken from a PPC/direct response point of view, Social Media is not profitable as the direct income will not be greater than then investment. Stop blaming your community manager and thinking he is not good enough. You will never see Social Media paying off looking at it that way.

Let’s imagine instead of a website we have a high street shop. If you have visited London you probably have been around the Oxford Circus area, plenty of shops everywhere paying overpriced rents for central locations in the main shopping street. None of these shops are profitable and the manager /brand is more than aware of this. Then, are these guys not very good at Maths?

Learning from the basics – Traditional Marketing
Companies need to invest in branding activities, and this does not get you a direct outcome back, but it works and is required if you are looking to last more than a year as a brand. Direct response channels is a great way to start, but it should not be the end of the strategy. If your brand is looking to grow you will need to start building a brand unless you can be the cheapest of the market forever (I doubt it).

It is time to learn our lesson from what traditional marketing has been doing for a long time and only then we will manage to understand how Digital Marketing can help our business to get bigger and better. Let’s Start building Brands and Stop Sucking at Marketing
