obeegee: I have been on a commercial flight with him in December 2025. Delta between USA and Lagos when he came for an appearance in Lagos during Detty december
Quite an interesting testimony about being on the same flight in economy with him.
You seem to know quite a bit about airplanes.
Any update about the presidential jet that was put up for sale, as reported in your OP below
obeegee: So I noticed this link with our presidential jet being put up for sale. Same jet we were told was not serviceable.
Now the part that caught my attention was the number of Hours and number of cycles the jet was advertised to have. I did some research to see how many hours and cycles similar aircraft could fly in its lifespan. The manufacturer, Boeing puts its lifespan at 55000 hours or 90000 cycles. Our jet had 3821 hours and 1881 cycles. Which means, the jet is almost like brand new by the manufacturer's standards.
This only shows that the excuse of the aircraft being old and not serviceable was untrue.
The new presidential aircraft purchased is far bigger than this one and has a much higher operating cost. The former aircraft 737 bbj has an hourly operating cost of $6,000 while the new one acj a330 has an hourly operating cost of $29,700. Evidence attached below.
Thankfully there is no sapa in Nigeria, where Tinubu is changing presidential jet like woman dey change wrapper, as per we are paying more taxes and he continues to force us to pay APC subsidy instead of selling petrol below N70.
anonimi: Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC
January 19, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.
On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.
But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.
It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
chisomkachy: Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.
The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.
Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.
The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.
helinues: This government that hasn't done a thing. is Ibeju Lekki no longer part of Benin Republic
It is part of Nigeria where people are drinking water from shitty boreholes, following the example of Tinubu's master plan strategy of stealing money that should employ workers to make pipe borne water available to homes.
The federal government is not responsible for water supply in cities and towns. This is the responsibility of states.
500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.
But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”
While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.
He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’
AguluLiar: Why is Falana embarrassing himself every time since the Great Jagaban has refused to give him an appointment?
He go tire!
Was Falana looking for appointment with Jonathan in 2012 when he joined Tunde Bakare to play politics with APC's protest against the deregulation and subsidy removal policy of the PDP president? The protest happened less than a year after Bakare and Buhari lost to Jonathan because Tinubu said that the old soldier was expired.
That PDP deregulation gave birth to Dangote refinery, whose license Buhari thankfully did not cancel, after he was recycled as APC messiah in 2015.

thewinning101: PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola
Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.
ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read
It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.
Is this because far too many Nigerians are unevolved zoning and rotation clansmen, for sharing the national cake of corruption in Stockholm syndrome style?
Abi what are your own policy preferences for your local, state and federal governments? What are the legislative agendas of your LGA councillors, state lawmakers, federal representative and senator?
Breaker001: This is why Nigerian politicians should focus on telling people what they intend to bring to the table instead of attacking and insulting other political opponents in opposing parties. Because with incessant cross carpeting in Nigerian politics, the one you shamed yesterday in one party, may end up being the face of your own party tomorrow 😎
Attacking and insulting political opponents is normal in America and other developed democracies where we are praying and fasting for their japa visas. Trump and Rubio attacked each other during Republican primaries but are working together now. Same with Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The difference is they have ideological principles that unite them in Republican Party and Democratic Party.
What are your own governance policy priorities? Do you support privatisation and deregulation, or do you support government ownership of businesses, for example? Do you prefer government employing teachers to educate every child free, or do you want extreme poverty paupers to struggle in paying private school fees? What of water and electricity supply, what is your opinion about them?
If you don’t know what you want in these different areas of governance, then what do you expect politicians to bring to the table when they ask you to allow them serve you in local, state and federal levels in either the legislative or executive branch?
What do you even bring to the table in politics? How much of your own money, time and talents do you contribute to the political and governance processes?
Are you the typical Nigerian who wants politicians to spend all their money to get elected and then serve you diligently nevertheless because they are charitable Father Christmas?
property taxes ( especially in Lagos ), property insurance fees ( in lagos ), Drivers license fee, Car insurance tax, phone credits or airtime tax, Passport renewal fee VAT, ATM taxes e.g ATM fees, electricity taxes, phone data taxes, fuel taxes since subsidy was removed, bank taxes for using banking codes, bank monthly charges, bank ATM card maintainance taxes or fees, import duties taxes that phone importers and other foreign goods imposed on Nigerians.. e.t.c...
In Nigeria, everyone already pays multiple tax
Can I add solar panel fees and borehole fees?
For a state that has increased budget 100 times in the last 27 years, from greater tax burden on people without commensurate increase in government services and utilities, provided by an adequate number of well paid professionals in civil service.

Maxymilliano: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him. According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.
Tinubu spoke at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, monitored by The Nation.
At the lecture, Tinubu after his opening remarks, assigned Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.
Lithiumite: The very reason Nigeria is in the economic mess its in right now,you ate away your surplus without investing in your society......if that same jakande you always love to refer to had insisted on building a good tax administration system, lagos would have been far more wealthy and more sustainable than it is right now......sanwo olu wouldn't still be bothered about building roads or schools. Till date nigeria's total tax revenue is still at an abysmal 13% of gdp below the WB and IMF recommended 15% minimum, one ofvthe lowest in africa and you expect world class social amenities.
Compare the population now to what was in jakande era sanwo olu needs to cater for over 20m people with same space and limited resources and how much revenue the country was making considering the value of the naira at the time.....majority lagosians over 80% pay no taxes to govt.
How did he eat Lagos' surplus by employing teachers and building schools to educate children like Fashola free in Birch Freeman High School, Surulere?
Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode, Sanwo-Olu are the ones who are eating Lagos money instead of investing in human capital and other things for a brighter future. Awon ajenirun lasan lasan!!!

The Lagos State government has said the ratio of public to private schools at both primary and secondary school levels in the state is one to 22.
The state’s Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, gave the revelation in her remark at the 2022 edition of the Total School Support Seminar Exhibition (TOSSE) held at Oregun in Ikeja between Thursday and Friday.

Is Obi not an integral part of NDC leadership and decision makers, to which Kwankwaso and Utomi have lured him as his SPV party for another failed attempt at president while making Tinubu's reelection easier, just like the naive politician did in 2023
lexylaw40: The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.
Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."
The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.
"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.
"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.
"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.
Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.
The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.

Splashme: The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Tuesday, said that the cancellation of the Lagos metroline project in 1985 was a major mistake and disservice to many Nigerians.
Jakande spoke in Lagos during the launch of a book which chronicled his life in politics and journalism.
The book, entitled, ‘Jakande: Leadership in Action’ is written by Dr. Bola Olaosebikan, who told the audience at the event that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), was not responsible for the cancellation of the project.
Jakande said, “Reflecting on the metroline project, I think it is a major disservice to many Nigerians. Imagine how many people would have benefitted. It would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. Whoever cancelled it or gave the advice towards its cancellation didn’t do right.”
The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.
Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.
He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. God has blessed this nation the most in Africa, although we have not reached where we should be; with the right leaders, Nigeria would overcome its challenges.”

Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.
He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. Babasessy: The Awolowo rebirth in the Southwest has inspired gongs, songs and rhetoric of sorts. But they have missed one point.
It occurred to me in Abeokuta last week amidst the big crowds and euphoria of the swearing-in of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as governor. In all the states from Lagos to Edo, where Awo has witnessed ideological resurgence, hardly a single family member has played a role.
So we have an Awo family without an Awo. That is an irony. But history overwhelms us with this sort of twist. Obafemi Awolowo toiled for his reputation. His roots were lowly, he toiled to school both home and abroad, launched into careers in law, business, journalism and eventually politics. He carved a niche for himself, and became the first methodical and charismatic leftist in our history. Other leftists abounded but they did not inspire comparable drama and following.
He faced tribulations, went to jail, failed in elections, won a few, but he imprinted his ideas and legacy in the country, and no single mortal has beaten him in the history of this country. His greatest achievement was in the area of ideas, and that was how he fashioned a family. Most families are born of biology but his issued from ideology. That family suffered with him.
In a spoof of Jesus Christ, these were the men who followed him in his teachings, and endured with him in his temptations. So he formed a kingdom for them in the Southwest, in the old Western Region, presiding over his projects, his legacies and people.
In all of these, the family he had was not his flesh and blood. In another spoof of Christ, who were his family anyway? Those who were with him must be counted as his family. So, I combed in the ambience of Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), and I found none. I went to Ogun, I frisked the crowd under Amosun’s bower, hardly any. Around Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Osun, I could not lay a finger. With Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti, where are the forbears of Awo? Yet, I can hear the chants of Awo. Hardly in any of the inaugural speeches or any of their other public intervention would you miss the philtre and filter of Awo from these gentlemen. To parody Novelist Joseph Conrad, they are the sparks from Awo’s sacred fire, the messengers of the might within the man.
Already all of them are pursuing the legacy ideas of Awo: free education, free health services, infrastructural development, urban renewal and economic engineering.
Lagos has posted itself as the John the Baptist. The others are putting up valiant efforts, and the world of course is watching to see how well they will perform. It will call for great work, resourcefulness and cooperation. They are the real Awoists, and Awo was a man of rigour and vigour.
The Awo son that many expected to take after the father was Olusegun, who unfortunately died in a car crash. We shall never know if he could have pulled it off. But the others have not shown much of the paterfamilias’ brio and depth. In the past decade, under this republic, they have blended with the wrong crowd. Even H.I.D, hobnobbed with Alao-Akala, who brought illiteracy to governance; with Oyinlola who turned the grace of office into a hell-hole of despots; with Daniel who could not arrest his quick fall into megalomania.
I wrote once that this woman whom Awo once described as the jewel of inestimable value has lost value to his cause. If he came back to life, he would have committed the extraordinary act of divorce after death. Even his newspaper, The Tribune, has so stumbled and fallen that it swims in Awo’s vomit.
Cyberterror: They just keep exposing Peter Obi right, left and centre for the desperate fraudster that he is
The Anambra godfather wannabe has always been a fraudster since time immemorial, using chochocho, incoherent balablu bulaba words to cover up for his inadequacies.
newsbook: Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has re-echoed his allegation that his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him for sponsoring his election in 2013.
Obiano and his predecessor, Obi have had a frosty relationship shortly after his swearing in.
Obi has however denied that he demanded for the sum of N7.5billion from Obiano, saying that his problem with him was his (Obiano’s) underperformance.
Obi said if he needed the said sum, he would have simply taken it from the N75billion he left for the Obiano administration at the end of his tenure.
But Governor Obiano while speaking on Wednesday evening at Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha where he inaugurated his reelection campaigns in Onitsha North Council Area, said the clarification became necessary because of the recent accusations against him by the former Governor.
He stated that his predecessor had demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him as funds spent in prosecuting the election on his behalf, but that he refused to pay the money because it was not true.
Obiano said he refused to pay because he strongly believed that public funds should be used for public good, and not to settle godfathers.
These, he said, was the reason they fell apart.
The governor said that another reason he refused to pay the money was because he was aware that enough money was raised for his campaign by his friends and associates, all of which were never accounted for by the former governor.
On the actual sum the former Governor claimed he left behind, Governor Obiano made it clear that he inherited liability of about N127 billion debt from him in contracts awarded and other responsibilities, which he has been religiously undertaking in the spirit of continuity.
He said Obi flagged off several roads even on the day he was leaving office and saddled him with the burden of paying for it, but he assured the people that he has his eyes on the ball and will not allow anything to distract him from fulfilling his promises.
The Chairman of the Governor’s Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh said APGA as the political spirit of Ndigbo, has in the past three and half years, availed Anambra good governance at its best, reminding the people that the upcoming guber election was not about Willie Obiano but about ensuring that the state remained free from political godfatherism.
A former Central Bank Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo in his speech said that at this time, the State needs a tested hand like Governor Obiano who has the experience and expertise to effectively steer her affairs.

He was hoping that there would be civilian administrators like we had under IBB but Abacha said no, that he was going to have military administrators. So he (Tinubu) said okay, in that case, can I be a deputy administrator? But Abacha said that there wouldn’t be deputies. Then he wanted the post of a commissioner.
He wanted to be a commissioner?
Yes. Then it was a choice between him and someone very close to Jakande who has passed on now. I can’t remember his name, but because Babagana was already in the government, that guy was picked as commissioner. But really, Senator Tinubu had lost out already.
Was Tinubu very close to MKO?
Yes, he was close enough. He and Adeniyi Adele, a very good guy, were close to my father. In fact, Adeniyi was closer to my father and more dedicated to the process than anyone of them. When my documentary comes out, you will see Tinubu’s take on issues. So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
Has Obi resigned from his SPV political party, NDC where Utomi and Kwankwaso are there to make the naive politician help Tinubu again in having his turn to continue worsening APC extreme poverty and insecurity shege
Efuaye: They will simply replenish their population through immigrants, just like Canada and Europe did in the past if it becomes a thing of concern to them.
How many Asian (including Arab) countries facing population challenges have done this?
Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait etc? Which one of them has immigration policies similar to that of the West?
CanadaOrBust: This is KARMA. All those decades of one-child policy, the blood of all those aborted children (and all the children never given a chance to exist) will never let China be truly great like US.
They thought once they lift the one-child policy women will go back to having many children. Didn't happen - women decided they liked having only one child.
Lesson: Women are doing us a favor having our children. If for one reason or another they decide to stop doing it, we are FINISHED!
Eriokanmi: The 10m naira was clearly stated by the party not obi. NDC has been there before obi went there to run. Is he the chairman of the party ? The chairman can even expel obi and nothing will happen so, he's not the chairman of NDC. It's not even as if the money was a fraud, neither was it linked to Obi's account as if he took bribe. The matter needs to end up in court. Enough of all these jegudujera style of politics jare.
Go to other parties and find out how much their EOI form is. You'd scream by the time you compare both. In all these, NDC said, no aspirants will be asked to pay for the form as only those who won primaries would be contacted to pay, which was fair enough as you have nothing to lose as an aspirant. Kenneth is an actor and he's simply dishing out his professional roles.
Peter Obi is a greater actor who pretends to be what he is clearly not.
Has he resigned from NDC because they are asking people to pay to get nomination
newsbook: Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has re-echoed his allegation that his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him for sponsoring his election in 2013.

Multi-million naira water Scheme rots as Ogun residents suffer
“There is water scarcity in this area and so, people have no option, this is only place they can fetch water since there is no provision of portable water by the government,” he told our correspondent in an interview.
Yusuf Adeleke, a student who lives in Iberekodo area of the state capital, said “the issue of water has been unbearable to my community, to the extent that we fight everyday just to get water. Despite the fact that we are very much closer to water corporation, we couldn’t enjoy any benefit. We suffer for water just like every other communities.
Some good Samaritans who have constructed a borehole in the community help the residents with water, however, to get electricity to pump water is another big challenge.
“We urge the government to help us do something, the issue of scarcity is becoming pandemic to the Abeokuta community.”
Findings by our correspondent revealed that the Onikolobo scenario depicted the recurrent water scarcity in major areas of Abeokuta metropolis and other parts of the state. Among areas affected in the state capital are, Ago-Oba, Ita-Eko, Surulere, Kolobo, Amolaso, Isale Igbein, Leme, Sapon and Isabo.
How residents pay through the nose for water
Investigation by our correspondent revealed that in the face of the scarcity residents of the state capital spend more money to buy water for their daily need.
A resident told Daily Trust on Sunday that he spends between N9,000 to N12,000 monthly to buy water.
“A tank costs N3,000 and we will exhaust it within a week. We have four weeks in month, so, roughly, I spent between N12,00 monthly. It’s that bad,” the resident who pleaded not to be named, told our correspondent.
One of the residents in Ita-Eko, Segun Adesanya described the development as “tiring.” He told our correspondent that he buys 2,000 litres of water at the rate of N3,000.
Adesanya said “Honestly, the water scarcity is a serious matter. No tap water and the well water has dried off. Like, you know, water is an essential commodity. I always buy 2,000 litres of water at the rate of N3,000 every three weeks.
“Now that I have a baby, it is every two weeks because of the washing and other things.
It is tiring, since, I moved into this area, no water. Government should please come to our aid.”
He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’
saintopus: GEJ proposed this but they rejected it.
Jonathan was not a master strategist.
The master strategist has found a way to test the waters for his 3rd term agenda after winning next year. He is set to succeed where Obasanjo failed in 2007, because Atiku led other democracy heroes to align with the people and our 1999 constitution, thereby killing the bill in the NASS.
Eriokanmi: I wonder oo. Obi should press further with this lawsuit. That's so defamatory. The said amount was clearly stated by the party, not Obi. It's not even only in Anambra but aspirants nationwide. Yeye pipu
