Ade2024: Guy You no wetin obasanjo do fela During jonathan, there was insecurity Yar'adua was responsible president
Fela died in August 1997, two years before Obasanjo became president. So what could he have done to Fela after May 1999?
Boko Haram insecurity started with Yar'Adua administration's extrajudicial killing of its founder Yusuf in July 2009.
How can someone who harassed Ribadu in favour of ex-convict Ibori be a responsible president
Boko Haram, Islamic sectarian movement, founded in 2002 by Mohammed Yusuf in northeastern Nigeria, that since 2009 has carried out assassinations and large-scale acts of violence in that country. The group’s initial proclaimed intent was to uproot the corruption and injustice in Nigeria, which it blamed on Western influences, and to impose Sharīʿah, or Islamic law.
Later the group vowed to avenge the deaths of Yusuf and other group members, who were killed by security forces in 2009.
Lithiumite: Call your family and friends in America,UK or other places....if you dont want to Venezuela is a bigger oil producing country than nigeria, go check the inflation figures there, its over 200% Argentina that obidients love to compare their president milei to tinubu is at over 30% Turkey is a far more advanced country economically than nigeria, tbey are over 30% Nigeria and Egypt are at about 15%.....the question i like to ask you is does this make the presidents of these countries too the worst leaders in the world? Libya, angola are equally oil producing and tbey are also having inflationary problems even Rwanda is seeing one of the highest post the civil war, south Africans are also crying even accusing foreigners for being the cause of their inflation, so how is nigeria immuned from global inflationary challenges......the major reason for ours is basically the fact that we readjusted our economy which will normally cause inflation. Many Nigerians would kill to get to live in Turkey so many are also running to Egypt that also has same inflationary problems.
Why are you APC guys so desperate to validate Bwala's statement about what happens to the medulla oblongata of your party people?
Can you show us where any of the presidents of the cited countries promised to crash something as fundamental as petrol price but failed to do so, three years after fighting for power, grabbing it and running with it cluelessly like a headless pig
Just one example will do sir.
Deltafirstson: Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.
In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.
Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.
Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.
At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.
However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.
“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.
Dshocker: All of these are coordinated attacks, both from Keyamo and the PDP, just to make it look like the APC doesn't have a hand in PDP.
But in reality, Wike is using Jonathan to divide the vote in favor of Tinubu.
Terrible and terrific government.
Are you suggesting that Wike is joining Kwankwaso to do what unreliable, unprincipled, untrustworthy, party-hopping Utomi did in 2023? Utomi that incidentally was ADC's first presidential candidate in 2007, after Atiku led other democracy heroes to kill the bill for Obasanjo's 3rd term!!!
lexylaw40: The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.
Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."
The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.
"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.
"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.
"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.
Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.
The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.
Festus should keep his advice for the drug lord under whom he is serving to worsen APC's extreme poverty and insecurity shege that replaced PDP prosperity. peace and progress 11 years ago.
He should stop disturbing us with his balablu bulaba wailings.
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’

How was it better than Obasanjo's era in these areas?
ClassicMan202: Tinubu is keeping blind eyes because he needs Wike for 2027 election... If not, Na state of emergency straight

iwaeda: Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.
In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.
The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.
Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.
“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”
He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.
“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”
Ade2024: Okay Yar'adua was never an hungry politician
What did he achieve in Katsina as governor for eight years in water supply and free education for all children, provided by adequate number of well paid civil servants? Do you know something more basic in government services and utilities than these two things?
If Yar'Adua was not a hungry politician, why did he not resign and let David Mark act as president while INEC conducts another election after sacking Iwuruwuru, who Obasanjo used to arrange presidency for him after Atiku led other democratic heroes to kill his bill for 3rd term?
Do you know how much corruption, including the P&I fraud that happened under Yar'Adua that was wrongly attributed to a cabal
Was that not why Jonathan tried to remove fraud-prone subsidy after his 2011 election, which Tinubu and other APC leaders looters resisted as they played politics with our wellbeing?
It’s a validation of Adelabu Pẹnkẹlẹmẹs’ claim that 150 million Nigerians have adequate electricity since Tinubu made Jonathan a one term president in 2015, and replaced him with old soldier Buhari that he called expired four years earlier.
It’s nice that Adelabu confirmed how Fashola did what he bragged about before we allowed APC change in 2015.
Helinuss: It is the same mercenary they imported still causing havoc till date. And FG lacks political power to deal with them. Infact they are protecting them. Nigeria is lost bro. Apc is a demonic party
Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC is more than a demonic party. It’s a cult of wicked people led by Tinubu who is their master strategist.
How could he and Shettima make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan, so he could beg Buhari to come back from retirement and end PDP’s 16 years of prosperity, peace and progress in 2015?
Tinubu begged the same old soldier he called expired in 2011, to be president four years later. What can be more wicked than this for 200 million Nigerians
Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”
Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.
The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.
“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”
Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The national leader of ACN criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for shying away from the national debate held last Friday, stressing that”that singular act exposed Jonathan as a coward who has nothing to offer.”
alanto: National distress yes. But why is the FG still giving states governors security votes if they don't control any security apparatus? I mean las las, they'll still call on the president when insecurity arise. So why pay them extra to secure their states if they won't secure their states?
Can you please share details about HOW the federal government gives security votes to states.
500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.
But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”
While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.
He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’
Ibrahimcoomasie: Isaac is still angry at his brother because Ayo did not let his family loot just because he was Governor. They never forgave Ayo fayose since then.
Is that why Ayo Fayose is gaslighting Nigerians about the fire of insecurity that Wike and Tinubu are using to destroy lives in Oyo State because they want to keep the power of looting us, which they fought for and grabbed in 2023?
Ade2024: Please my advice to nigeria and nigerians Please avoid hungry politicians Please they can do do or die politics
Whether we avoid them or not, they will still be in power over us.
So what is the point of avoiding them, instead of working to make them accountable to us? 200 million sovereign Nigerians who temporarily allow them exercise power on our behalf, to keep the country safe and secure for widespread prosperity and peace with stability.
Kidnappings: RCCG Petitions Jonathan…to Stage One Million-man Protest
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, yesterday, commenced a nationwide collection of signature of its members that would partake in a planned one million-man protest rally against the spate of insecurity in Nigeria. The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who yesterday initiated the move, insisted that it was high time religious organisations raised awareness over the depreciating standard of security in the country, adding “we cannot afford to celebrate, clinking glasses and congratulating each other when a horrendous decimation of the most vulnerable is picking up a pace and our stock of human capital heading for the abyss. According to a petition sent to President Goodluck Jonathan by the spiritual leader of RCCG, Adeboye, which was equally attached to the registration form that was used, yesterday, to collect signatures of member interested in the protest rally, “we, your subjects and citizens of this nation whose signatures appear here under, greet you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and congratulate you and every Nigerian on this auspicious occasion of the Jubilee of our nation. “As we mark our 50th anniversary as an independent nation, we are faced with the emergence of kidnapping as the latest Nigerian night mare and one of the most serious threats to our common well being, no one is safe.”
You are doing great work on refreshing our memories, to see how much hypocrisy is in tribalistic Adeboye.
Did he ask for windows to be given to Buhari or even Jonathan who were not Yorubas like him? The discredited god of men’s labour in vain window dressing can only fool his sheepish followers.
KILLINGS: Adeboye directs RCCG members to join CAN’s prayer walk
February 2, 2020
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has urged members of the church in Nigeria to join the prayer walk across the country today to express displeasure at the “gruesome killings of innocent people in the country.”
The actionis also to pray for “the government to develop capacity to overcome the criminals troubling the nation.”
BarrElChapo: Emeka Ike clearly should sue inec. That alone is a cash out in the west.
Unfortunately, this is not the West. Whatever little thing that was western about Nigeria was wiped out by Tinubu in 2015, when he made Buhari president and ended Jonathan’s single term presidency. Can you imagine that Tinubu begged Buhari to come out of retirement and replace PDP’s enduring prosperity, cheap petrol, low debt burden, high productivity, low unemployment, low insecurity etc with APC’s extreme poverty and insecurity shege? Can you imagine how wicked Tinubu is to his fellow Nigerians
He is nothing but the master strategist of wickedness. No more no less!!!
GeneralOuki: If he sues as he said he will then something will come out of it
In this country that is governed by Tinubu and his henchmen in Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC?

chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”
toprealman: In serious climes, the INEC chair would have stepped down next day!
Is our country not a serious clime because too many of us are not independent minded like Fayose’s brother, Isaac? Instead, most of us are tribalistic and clannish, happy to use zoning and rotation to share the national cake of corruption in local, state and federal government positions.
As long as our own personal persons are involved, we are cool with the looting and destruction of our country and communities.
How do we enlighten ourselves out of this self destructive mess
Atiku believes in ranching, deserves our votes – Ortom
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has disclosed that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a sincere advocate of ranching as solution to the lingering herders crisis in the country.
The Governor who spoke Thursday at his reelection campaign rally in Katsina/Ala also stated that the former Vice President was not a religious fundamentalist.
He reiterated his appeal to the electorate in the state to vote massively for Atiku who was on the same page with the people of the state and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming election.
He observed that while President Muhammadu Buhari was canvassing for the opening up of cattle routes which would impact negatively on the land of the people of the state if implemented, Alhaji Atiku had been establishing ranches for his cattle and even proceeded to build feed-mills.
He said, “ranching is critical to the survival of our state because it remains the best solution to the incessant crises between farmers and herders with monumental loss of human lives and property over the years hence we must vote against those who opposed it.
Sheuns: As expensive as it is, it is most certain that every home there dug its borehole, generates its electricity and have its own private security. The politicians in this country are the most myopic and terrible I've seen or read about.

anonimi: Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant
Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT
Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.
Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.
The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.
The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.
The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.
Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.
2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.
ddippset: Says a man who hijacked the party and singlehandedly produced the last 4 National Chairmen of the party for his own selfishness.
Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku. He knew it was injustice to give Atiku the ticket yet he lobbied to be the VP.
He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party.. Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.
This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.
He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.

anonimi: My dad, victim of complex conspiracy – Kola Abiola
What role did Bola Tinubu play in all of these?
At the very beginning, he was part of the Yar’Adua PF group from Jos. He was a senator then, and as far as the group went, we related. The crisis started post-election. When Abacha came, one of the things he wanted to do was to be the administrator for Lagos.
That is Tinubu?
Yes. I am sure you have seen pictures of him and my dad. He was hoping that there would be civilian administrators like we had under IBB but Abacha said no, that he was going to have military administrators. So he (Tinubu) said okay, in that case, can I be a deputy administrator? But Abacha said that there wouldn’t be deputies. Then he wanted the post of a commissioner.
He wanted to be a commissioner?
Yes. Then it was a choice between him and someone very close to Jakande who has passed on now. I can’t remember his name, but because Babagana was already in the government, that guy was picked as commissioner. But really, Senator Tinubu had lost out already.
Was Tinubu very close to MKO?
Yes, he was close enough. He and Adeniyi Adele, a very good guy, were close to my father. In fact, Adeniyi was closer to my father and more dedicated to the process than anyone of them. When my documentary comes out, you will see Tinubu’s take on issues. So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
