hotseat: Blaming Tinubu for everything won't solve the problem.
The traditional, religious and political leaders must be committed to ending the scourge of terrorism.
It is obvious that fifth columnists are behind these attacks with the sole purpose of discrediting the government.
Only God knows what they stand to gain in all these bloodshed. @hotseat
What did Tinubu and APC have to gain in the period before 2015, when they blamed only PDP and Jonathan for insecurity, that was not as bad as it is today
Eniolohunda: God please help Nigerians. I believe Nigeria government is not doing enough about the insecurities going on in Nigeria. Although, I refused to touch that poll, because the last time I heard insecurities in Nigeria it affects all the religions. So, I don't understand why it states Christian persecution.
Was Christian persecution not the excuse used by Tinubu to invite Trump to kill innocent northerners under the guise of looking for Muslim terrorists.

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.
Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....
However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.
Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.
All Promises Cancelled, APC told us that petrol should NEVER cost more than that.
anonimi: Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC
January 19, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.
On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.
But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.
It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
GeneralDae: I don’t understand your confusion. Exchange rate depreciated from 450 to 1360 (3.5 times depreciation) yet we added 9 more companies to the billion dollar list. That’s significant growth.
I see your nitpicking to use half truth to mask failure.
While there is some increase in dollar value from 2023, that is attributed to banks and insurance companies recapitalising.
The remarkable thing is that the market value is still far lower than what it was in 2014, the last full year of PDP prosperity era.
nairalanda1: All i am going to say is cost reflective tarrifs
Ivory coast brought in cost reflective tarrifs in 1993, and it has worked.
Ghana too has the same cost reflective tarrifs and it is working.
And both countries are as poor as we are, plus the chap in charge of the country at the time who deregulated Ivory Coast's electricity sector was corrupt and was a tribalist.
Deregulate the power sector so that enough of a profit would be made to attract sane investment into our power sector
But Tinubu and apc no go hear. They take popular decisions that get them elected, not sane decions for the betterment of Nigeria
Would you work with others to bring PDP deregulation and privatisation policies, so we can resume the prosperity trajectory of those policies
anonimi: How Indorama sustains manufacturers, boosts Nigeria’s FX earnings
Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has emerged as a major value creator in the Nigerian economy. It is responsible for the survival, growth and sustenance of many manufacturing companies in Nigeria today. A large number of plastic and allied firms depend on the Eleme-based company for petrochemical resins (or polymer resins) which serve as their raw materials.
The petrochemical company is just one of the several subsidiaries of Indorama-Nigeria Group, which also comprises Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL), Indorama PET Nigeria Limited, and Indorama Port Operations.
Since Indorama Corporation of Indonesia became core investor in the old Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in 2006 through privatisation programme of the Federal Government, the group has become a game changer in the Nigerian economy.
The petrochemical company has solved the major challenge facing a number of manufacturers— poor access to raw materials. Rather than scramble for foreign exchange to import inputs, the company ensures that manufacturers have access to their critical raw materials, enabling them to save costs and improve margins.
The major resins used by plastic and allied companies are polyethylene and polypropylene. Indorama produces about 45 grades of these products for various industries. About 600 of such companies in Nigeria depend on IEPL for their survival. They are estimated to have over 90,000 workers.
GeneralDae: In May 2023, approximately 12 companies on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) had a market capitalization exceeding ₦460 billion ($1Billion)
As of March 2026, there are 21 companies on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) with a market capitalization exceeding ₦1.4 trillion ($1 Billion).
Make of this what you will.
What else is there to make of it than the worse economic conditions of the past three years, such that you need 9 additional companies to have the same capitalisation
first a minority of the industries are manufacturing industries. None of them actively exports or earns much in exporting. None of them makes electronics, vehicles, heavy industrial products , energy industry machinery, even batteries and so forth.
One trillion naira is just 700 million dollars. That's not much
The above list shows how much we have failed as a nation that we do not have the kind of industries and companies that actually solve problems. We just dey full ourselves
APC has failed abeg
APC has failed …………….way more than PDP did.
I’m almost certain that the 24 leading companies on the NSE were worth more in dollars 11 years ago compared with today.

Do I resemble the Lagos government official in the video?
Do I resemble any of the 150 governors since 1999 who have stolen money for employing workers to make water available to every household?

have you heard of what happened in the old Western region NNDC election against AG?
Bi o ri owo mi, o ko ri inu mi.
Hopefully, Tinubu is fully aware of Akintola's fate following his overturning the people's will in the 1965 election. The same thing happened to NPN's Omoboriowo in Ondo 1983, which created the environment for Buhari's only successful coup in December of the same year.

The men in Alausa have a lot of questions to answer... But till the day of reckoning sha.
Please HOW will the day of reckoning for the rogue leaders arrive if educated people expect to do work that government has made them pay for already
Baddest0007: But the Greatest Governor of Lagos Fashola made Lagos Super Clean without Environmental Sanitation. Are we to pay our tax and to clean our environment also.
Let the tax they collect employ workers to clean the place.
May God bless you richly for this wise comment as we work harder to enlighten others around us and beyond on this mindset of governance expectations.
Henix: City Men Movement should go back to their drawing board.

Should they be appropriately called GREEDY boys movement
cyberbro: I strongly disagree with Baba Falz on this.
With the huge population of Lagos state, it is very necessary. Circle back to when there was environmental sanitation, Lagos was hardly flooded cos people cleared their drainages instead of waiting for the government to handle everything.
On the other hand, LAWMA needs to be overhauled. They are ineffective, some of their PSP truck drivers are drug addicts and their trucks are very dirty. I know of streets in Lagos (e.g. areas under Alimosho LGA) where LAWMA trucks hardly visit due to road issues, these are also some of the challenges with inner city roads in Lagos and Sanwo-Olu hasn't done much in that regard.
What is LASG doing with trillions budget every year if it can't employ people to clear drains and gutters day & night in shifts, paid on the basis of 70k minimum wage?
What are the 20 LGAs doing with their share of 20% federation account, paid directly to them since 2024?
Do you expect the state and local governments to simply steal all the money
Any idea why London, Chicago, Paris, Toronto and other developed country's residents don't do environmental sanitation monthly for public/common areas?

You need to stop all this pedestrian analogy on current realities of our economy.......you all keep shouting subsidy funds. I am not sure you know how much debt service to revenue ratio tinubu met at 96% is now down to about 60%......nah your pocket dem dey see the moni abi. Coastal rd,sokoto-badagry,and so many roads currently ongoing. Your foreign reserves are at a 13yr high at about $50b with crude prices below $100. How can a nation be owing airlines billions that they couldn't repatriate their hard earned dollars, tinubu has sorted all that......bur you keep asking for subsidy moni like you want to be using it to eat jollof rice and chicken
Why is Tinubu borrowing more than PDP presidents despite fraudulently claiming to have stopped borrowing becuase he hit his higher revenue target in August
Lithiumite: I dont like dapo but kudos must be given to him fir the epe-ijebu ode rd,abiodun-akute rd,sango-ado odo otta is currently being done,abeokuta-sango is also under construction.....though it disagree with the one he did in his home town of iperu, totally u necessary.
How many teachers has he employed as a progressive governor of Awolowo and Onabanjo's state, to ensure every child is in free government school?
Is it up to 19,500?
That is the number of teachers employed by Makinde in just five years.
Do you know if Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu have employed as many as 19,500 teachers in Lagos over the last 27 years of increasing tax burden on Lagosians to grow IGR and budget 100 times
