AMINDA: The truth is bitter. This is not the APC the likes of you and Omenka supported in 2015.
The only thing APC about the party today is the name. Everything is now worse than it was prior to 2015, yet Tinubu won't let any other aspirant even from the South contest against him. The essence of having your party in power should go beyond one-upping your perceived opponents.
Governance is about the people, and the APC has clearly lost track of that. It is worth wailing about.
The APC of 2015 is not different from the APC of today in terms of propaganda lies to grab power and control of the people.
AMINDA: Theodore Orji, Idris Wada, etc. The worst of the worst that governed Kogi and Abia are who Tinubu is courting now out of desperation to have everyone in his party and run unopposed.
APC has lost the morality and confidence vested on it by the people that made it win the 2015 presidential election. It is now a party with no moral code or ideology.
Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC does not need any moral code or ideology to win elections and continue the extreme poverty shege unleashed on us since 2015.
Tinubu is just working for 2027, and his 3rd term agenda that Obasanjo failed to achieve.
Is it more serious or less serious than the business of politics and scamming people with propaganda lies, which APC did in 2012 with subsidy removal protests
AMINDA: The presence of INEC is not a requirement. All that was needed was for proper notice to be given to INEC. That has been done.
If Amupitan's INEC couldn't make it, perhaps due to lack of transport, it is not on the party. Having said that, we have it on good authority that INEC is present at the convention.
The use of the word, MAY in the context means required.
fergie001: You don't even know that the Caretaker Committee has to be affirmed at the Convention.
Only the National Convention can confer leadership at that level. So whichever way like I always said, it was inevitable that the Convention should have taken place. It is people who didn't want it to hold that plan to kill the opposition. This NWC's tenure ends Dec 7, of which anything they do after then becomes a nullity, so what should they have done?
Which one is the caretaker committee inside this news?
chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:

anonimi: Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant
Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT
Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.
Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.
The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.
The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.
The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.
Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.
2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.
ddippset: Says a man who hijacked the party and singlehandedly produced the last 4 National Chairmen of the party for his own selfishness.
Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku. He knew it was injustice to give Atiku the ticket yet he lobbied to be the VP.
He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party.. Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.
This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.
He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.
Laple0541: Those people are very difficult to please. No matter what the president does, they will never think good of him.
Baba should just do his own for God.
What has your baba done for God in Lagos for the past 26 years of his lootocracy master plan?
Increased tax burden on 20 million Lagosians to brag about growing the budget to N3.4 trillion from N42 billion a quarter of a century ago? Meanwhile, he has failed to deliver ordinary water to Lagos households.
Is this what Tinubu is doing for God
Lanrelagboi: Lagos has now crossed the 3 Trillion Naira annual budget mark. Crossed 2 Trillion in 2024.
Memory Lane: the first full-year Lagos State budget (Year 2000) in the 4th Republic was in the region of 40-something billion Naira. And it was described as “unprecedented” back then.
Freshandfitpod: Why is tinubu worried about a criminal whereabout?
That man is a criminal let him serve his time peacefully.
Tinubu needs to get him into Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC in order to secure Igbo votes for 2027.
Tinubu is just focusing on his political career, for reelection and 3rd term agenda as a way to life president, which Biya is doing in neighbouring Cameroon.
Why is he bribing politicians to join APC
Tinubu is obviously smarter than Obasanjo who failed to get a 3rd term despite bribing NASS members with Ghana must go bags of money.
Alaigbo: How much were all those thing n dollar in 1998 before pdp took over and added slaughtering of Nigerians by militants bandits boko haram herdsmen lootmania to our problem as your mouth de do cho cho cho.
So when Idris Abdul Kareem was singing Nigeria jagjagjaga that was posterity to you poor soul. Poverty don finish you.
Rather than make things better as they promised, Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC made everything worse. Everything, including corruption has become worse under the clueless, balablu APC leaders looters.
socialmediaman: The 2018 Rating by Transparency International placed Nigeria at 148th position out of 180 countries. Nigeria was improving over the years under the previous government, until Buhari got elected as president, things became worse.
There is a difference between fact and fiction. We need to face facts, Buhari is worse than GEJ when it comes to fighting corruption, at least that’s what the facts prove.
Most of us believed there was corruption under Goodluck Jonathan’s Government. I agree with those who did, there was corruption, but not as bad as it is today under Mohammadu Buhari.
In 2012, Nigeria was placed at 139th position, In 2014, Nigeria gained 3 steps and was placed at 136th position. Under Buhari, Nigeria has lost many positions down to 148th.
There’s no further proof needed that corruption has worsened under Buhari’s government compared to previous years.
jordyspices: Na wah oh these pdp matter go long oh we just getting started
Is it the same way that the suffering of 200 million Nigerians under APC extreme poverty shege has been long over the past decade? Something that was fraudulently sold as positive change by Tinubu, after packaging his 2011 expired Buhari as messiah!
thisweekng: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.
He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.
“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.
“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy
May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu
According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”
On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.
Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
The same PDP that will adopt Tinubu as it's presidential candidate come 2027?
I wonder what caused the falling out of Wike and his former G5 gang member, Makinde
The reason is that the beggarly FCT land grabber thinks he is overwise and other people are not smart, so he alone can manipulate them.
But God pass am.

See how Seyi Makinde is spending Oyo State tax payer’s money.
Did you wail equally about Lagos taxpayers money used to package expired Buhari into APC change messiah by Tinubu?

Addressing APC supporters on the need to deliver votes, Tinubu said handsome cash rewards await those who can deliver votes for the party.
He said he would not make mistakes of the past where people would collect money in advance and not deliver on election day.
Tinubu added, “Those of you that say you come to Bourdillon for mobilisation, it is mobilisation that we are doing here or don’t you understand? Definitely, if you know people in your neighbourhood, our members, how we used to do.
Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”
Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.
The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.
“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”
Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The national leader of ACN criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for shying away from the national debate held last Friday, stressing that”that singular act exposed Jonathan as a coward who has nothing to offer.”

anonimi: How we foiled Jonathan’s effort to make Mulika Adeola Speaker, Akande reveals
AS president in 2011, Goodluck Jonathan did all he could to ensure South West grabbed the country’s number four seat, including lobbying then opposition leaders from the zone, to no avail. The North West eventually grabbed the seat, supported by South West leaders in opposition to then ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Former Governor of Osun State and now statesman, Chief Bisi Akande, made this revelation in his autobiography, “My Participations” which is currently dominating political and national dis- course.
Aminu Tambuwal, now Sokoto State governor, won the seat, against the preferred pick of his party, Mrs Mulikat Adeola Akande, from the South-West. Defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, then a fledging opposition, which had Akande and his soulmate, former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, as front- line leaders, openly asked its elected members of the House of Representatives, mostly from the South-West, to work against their region and back Tambuwal from North-West.
The opposition party’s support carried Tambuwal through the contest against Akande, then ruling party’s favourite for the speakership seat.
In his book, Chief Akande revealed that former president then as incumbent, personally reached out to Tinubu, who is now believed to be nursing presidential aspiration in 2023 and himself, but couldn’t convince them.
He wrote, “President Jonathan, immediately after the meeting (with political parties), called Bola Tinubu aside into a lobby to broach the matter of ACN support for a choice of who would become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
