Nigeria's highest-ever credit rating from Fitch Ratings was 'B+', achieved in December 2019 under Muhammadu Buhari.
Braggadocio arrogance of ignorance.
The highest level was in 2014, the last full year of PDP’s capitalist Jonathan before clueless APC socialist Buhari took over.
Fitch Affirms Nigeria’s Robust Sovereign Rating
To demonstrate its view that the country is on the right economic trajectory despite many challenges, Fitch Ratings has affirmed it’s robust ‘BB-‘sovereign rating of Nigeria with a stable outlook.
It cited several current positive features of the economy to support its position.
Such features include improving stability in the economy after the suspension of CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the recent boost in the Excess Crude Account, rising oil production and improved efforts to tackle pipeline vandalism.
Below is the full statement:
Fitch Affirms Nigeria at ‘BB-‘; Outlook Stable
Fitch Ratings-London-10 April 2014: Fitch Ratings has affirmed Nigeria’s Long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) at ‘BB-‘ and ‘BB’, respectively. The Outlooks are Stable.
The issue ratings on Nigeria’s senior unsecured foreign and local currency bonds have also been affirmed at ‘BB-‘ and ‘BB’, respectively. The agency has also affirmed Nigeria’s Short-term foreign currency IDR at ‘B’ and Country Ceiling at ‘BB-‘.
KEY RATING DRIVERS
The affirmation reflects the following key rating drivers:
The foreign exchange market and international reserves are stabilising after the shock of Central Bank (CBN) Governor Sanusi’s suspension on 20 February. Demand for FX in the official auction reverted to normal levels in March and CBN intervention in the inter-bank market has fallen away. The inter-bank Naira/US dollar rate has strengthened from its lows although it remains outside the upper limit of the 155 plus or minus 3% band.
Official reserves rose in March, helped by an increase in the ECA fiscal buffer (Excess Crude Account). Although reserves have fallen appreciably over the past year, they remain in line with ‘BB’ category peer medians at a Fitch projected 4.6 months current account payments (CXP) at end 2014, although weaker than similarly rated oil exporters (Angola and Gabon).
On 25 March the Monetary Policy Committee continued the gradual tightening of liquidity seen over the past year, with an increase in the private sector cash reserve requirement to 15%. Inflation fell to a new low of 7.7% in February, within the target range of 6%-9%. Fitch believes that as an institution, the CBN has been strengthened in recent years and should retain its autonomy over monetary and financial policy, notwithstanding the suspension of the former governor.
Jagaban for looting and destruction of the country by raising taxes on the poor and borrowing money to pay for more luxury to himself.
chisomkachy: Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.
The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.
Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.
The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.
TimeManager: The economy is also on the pathway of recovery given where we were coming from, improved economic outlook has earned positive ratings from Fitch. Less debt to revenue ratio, net trade surplus, higher liquidity, stable currency, improved foreign reserves, gradual reduction in inflation, etc. But I will not be surprised if some people selling recharge cards or phone charger under the bridge start arguing with Fitch rating. I don't like talking too much. God bless Nigeria.

thisweekng: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.
He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.
“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.
“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy

dre11: Joining APC Makes the Brain Stop Working’ and 4 More Daniel Bwala Anti-Tinubu Remarks
There are three things in the world that deserve no mercy: hypocrisy, fraud, and tyranny. – Frederick William Robertson
Daniel Bwala, a staunch critic of President Tinubu, his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been seen frolicking with the President in recent days, which has infuriated the public.
For his past statements against the APC, Bwala, who was a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council during the 2023 elections, has now drawn backlash.
He was an APC member until he defected to the PDP in 2022. He would later cite the ruling party’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket as the reason for his exit.
While announcing his decision on X on July 10, 2022, Bwala wrote: “Tonight I officially resigned my membership of @OfficialAPCNg on principles and conviction that I hold so dear. At this time of our national existence, our efforts and energy should gravitate towards uniting our people.”
There are now speculations that he may return to the APC. He held a meeting with President Tinubu on Wednesday “to show appreciation and support for the bold decisions he is taking to deal with the crisis confronting [the] country”, and he revealed that he would support Tinubu without apologies, even if it meant going back to the APC.
Amid ongoing controversies surrounding Bwala’s recent interactions with the President, FIJ revisits five times in the past when he criticised the APC-led administration.
‘EVEN IF YOU GIVE TINUBU 30 YEARS, NOTHING WILL WORK‘
On December 25, 2023, Bwala expressed scepticism about President Tinubu’s ability to deliver within his four-year term. He argued that waiting for significant changes under Tinubu’s administration might not be feasible.
Bwala said, “When people talk about being patient and waiting, you have to look at the time frame the public officer is expected to execute the work. The President has just been voted into a term of four years. He is eight months into the term, which constitutes 31.8 percent of the total time that he has. He has less than 70 percent time in government; when is that going to happen? When President Buhari took over in 2015, it was the same language, and we patiently followed and he finished the first term and finished the second term. When there is a fundamental problem with policy, time is irrelevant; 30 years, it will not work.”
‘TINUBU’S CABINET MEMBERS WON’T PERFORM MORE THAN 15%‘
In August 2023, Bwala said that the cabinet members appointed by Tinubu would not perform beyond 15 percent because the President seemed more focused on politics than governance.
“I feel that when it comes to the number of ministers, he (Tinubu) was more particular about politics than governance. The number of governors in the cabinet and the portfolios assigned to some individuals were purely political. I don’t have an expectation of a performance that is going to be beyond 15 percent, looking at the cabinet members,” he said.
‘TINUBU IS PRESIDENT-SELECT, NOT PRESIDENT-ELECT’
In May 2023, Bwala said Tinubu was the ‘president-select’, and not the ‘president-elect’. He said Tinubu was selected by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as their preferred candidate.
His words: “Now we are in court to say that it was a rigged process. As long as there is no final determination of the matter, we have every right under law, equity and justice to hold the opinion that we express that he is a president-select and not a president-elect.”
‘THE PDP CLEARLY WON THE ELECTION BUT APC RIGGED IT‘
Following the 2023 presidential polls, Bwala said his party won the election and alleged that the APC rigged it to emerge as the winner.
Bwala, who disclosed this in an interview with Arise TV in March 2023, said, “We clearly won. In fact, if these results were allowed to be read from the result sheet, we won with over 1 million vote. Nigerian people voted PDP as the winner of this election, but history and posterity is the one that will judge.”
‘JOINING APC MAKES THE HUMAN BRAIN STOP WORKING’
Bwala made a post on X in November 2022: “The human brain is unique and miraculous. It works and functions optically 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, until you join APC, then it stops working.”
Since his post resurfaced on Thursday amid his unabashed declaration of support for the APC, Bwala’s cognitive abilities have been questioned by Nigerians.
An X user with the handle @chymaker wrote, “His brain stopped working.”
Another X user @Morris_Monye, wrote, “There’s something wrong with this man’s brain.”
“Your brain didn’t take that long to stop working. Either you forgot to go for an annual checkup or your network is not as strong as you think. Whatever the case is, learn to clean your mouth,” wrote @Gary_Mazi

anonimi: 2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.

jameshankss: Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has said he is sure the candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, would lose the 2023 presidential election. Soludo said he would not submit to the bullying of Obi’s supporters, who recently descended on him for addressing issues in the state.
The governor made the comments in a lengthy write-up personally authored, with the title, “History Beckons, and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1).”
Soludo said Obi was inadvertently making the pathway to victory much easier for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and at the same time, toying with the destiny of millions of Ndigbo.
But the chief spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign, Yunusa Tanko, accused Soludo of being sponsored by some unknown persons to weaken the base of the party in the South-east.
The former CBN governor had been under intense attack for close to a week for dismissing Obi’s investment in the state as amounting to nothing, during a television interview.
Soludo said in the write-up, “My attention has been drawn to some of the tirades on social media following my frank response during an interview on Channels TV regarding the ‘investments’ Mr. Peter Obi claimed to have made with Anambra State revenues.
“Sadly, several of the comments left the issue of the interview to probe or suggest motives, inferred from my response on ‘investment’ that I am opposed to Peter Obi’s ambition and, therefore, committed a ‘crime’ for which the punishment is internecine abuse and harassment, even to my family.
“Everyone knows that I don’t follow the winds or one to succumb to bullies, or shy away from a good fight especially, when weighty matters of principles and future of the people are involved.”
Soludo said he had urged Obi to return to his former party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), to actualise his presidential bid. He added that he had always told the LP candidate to his face that he was not capable of winning the 2023 presidential election, especially, under LP, which had neither a councillor nor a local government chairman.
Soludo said Obi was not just his friend, but also his brother, but despite that, they have their political differences.
He stated, “For full disclosure, let me state that Peter Obi and I are not just friends, we call ourselves ‘brothers’. But we have political differences: he left APGA for PDP after his tenure as governor, while I have remained in APGA since 2013.
“During the last two governorship elections in Anambra in 2017 and 2021, he led the PDP campaigns but APGA won landslide in both elections. By the way, in 2016, he visited and proposed that I defect to PDP and contest the 2017 election against the incumbent Willie Obiano, but I declined.
“After my victory in November 2021, he called to congratulate me, as I did to him in 2010. That is the Anambra way: we fight fiercely during campaigns but share drinks at the next social events. After all, it was the Great Zik of Africa, who taught us that in politics, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies but only permanent interests.”
Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”
Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.
He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.

anonimi: Kidnapping will be history in Anambra under my watch – Obiano ByPremium Times March 4, 2014
Anambra Governor elect, Willie Obiano, said on Tuesday in Abuja that his administration would ensure that crime, kidnapping in particular, was a thing of the past.
Mr. Obiano spoke to State House correspondents after a delegation from the state met with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa.
“Kidnapping is very critical for us and under my watch kidnapping will be a thing of the past.
“First, as soon as I am sworn-in, there is going to be a security conference where all the stakeholders in Anambra will come from near and beyond.
“We are going to do a lot of things that the present administration has started,” he said.
Mr. Obiano said he would deploy vigilante groups, equip and train them appropriately to tackle kidnapping.
“We will also place emphasis on youth employment because where most of the youths are employed then the rascal few will be easily policeable,” he said.
Are they protected by the NSA who said that violence and deaths have reduced 90%?
Racoon: National Security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has said that Nigeria has recorded over 90 percent improvement in terms insecurity under President Bola Tinubu administration.
Mr Ribadu stated this in Jos, Plateau State while briefing the press shortly after a meeting with the Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Major General Folusho Oyinlola at his office, following a gunmen attack on Bokkos community that left hundreds of residents killed.
According to him, President Tinubu administration will not relent in its efforts at ensuring peace and security in the country.
“In the last 1-year-ten-months, violent deaths have been reduced probably by over 90 percent in our country. We have the statistics, in 2022 and 2023 those who lost their lives as a result of extreme violence in the country has reduced,” Mr Ribadu disclosed.
The NSA stressed that a lot of bad people have been arrested and are undergoing investigations. “I can assure you that justice will be done, those who are found responsible will be prosecuted, we are doing it across the country.
“This Government has prosecuted close to 2,000 terrorists and we have got many convictions; we will not relent, we are serious, we are honest about what we are doing, we will do it to the best of our ability,” he said.
The NSA further commended the armed forces and other security forces in maintaining peace, restoring order quickly, and acting instantly in averting a major crisis in the state.
“The country is going through difficult times, but it is not going to be forever. President Bola Ahmad Tinubu is saying ‘enough is enough’, it has to stop, whatever it takes.
“Whatever we have done to achieve relative improvements, we will do more, we will continue to do whatever it takes to ensure there is be peace, (and) security so that out people will leave a normal life,” Mr Ribadu assured.
The NSA, however, disputed the number of deaths as reported in the media in the recent attacks in Bokkos LGA, saying that the figure, “certainly is not as much as what is out there”.
Mr Ribadu, therefore, appealed to the media to, “always verify, and report correct situations. Telling the truth helps us to go through this difficult period; it helps us to heal, it helps us to get back on track and leave in peace and security,” he added.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct 15 NOVEMBER 2013
Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.
Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."
While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.
He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

socialmediaman: The 2018 Rating by Transparency International placed Nigeria at 148th position out of 180 countries. Nigeria was improving over the years under the previous government, until Buhari got elected as president, things became worse.
There is a difference between fact and fiction. We need to face facts, Buhari is worse than GEJ when it comes to fighting corruption, at least that’s what the facts prove.
Most of us believed there was corruption under Goodluck Jonathan’s Government. I agree with those who did, there was corruption, but not as bad as it is today under Mohammadu Buhari.
In 2012, Nigeria was placed at 139th position, In 2014, Nigeria gained 3 steps and was placed at 136th position. Under Buhari, Nigeria has lost many positions down to 148th.
There’s no further proof needed that corruption has worsened under Buhari’s government compared to previous years.

Besides, Tinubu and Akande are just too big for Buhari to decide for. If he had tried it, they will simply dismantle APC and form another coalition with other parties. CPC can only perform in the North, they can never win any election withiout collaboration with Southern bloc in ACN. Buhari knows this, and will never risk to lose at both end should he stop Tinubu at that moment.
Why did he not get rid of terrible T-Pain after 2019, if he really wanted to stop him from taking over in 2023? Was that not how Obasanjo dealt with Atiku, even though he helped him in 1999 to be president and also helped him in 2003 to be reelected instead of agreeing to be the northern candidate, which was the first time Buhari tried to be president with Okadigbo as running mate?
Unfortunately, Obasanjo has shown ingratitude to the man who has saved his selfish nyansh several times since before 1999.
FuckFuckPastor: A new book has revealed how former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, saved ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president in 1999.
According to the new book, entitled ‘’Too Good to Die: Third Term and the Myth of the Indispensable Man in Africa,’ Atiku made all his resources available for Obasanjo’s presidential campaign.
The book, written by former chairman of National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, and Ayisha Osori, author of ‘’Love Does Not Win Elections,” also revealed how Obasanjo beat late Alex Ekwueme to the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 1999 election.
Quoting an account from Atiku, the authors said the trio of Ibrahim Babangida, Theophilus Danjuma and Abdulsalami Abubakar wanted PDP to adopt Obasanjo as their presidential candidate “because they considered him the best person for the job.”
Obasanjo and Atiku
“Implicit in their position was their belief that they knew how to manipulate Obasanjo and the fact that Obasanjo did their bidding in 1979. They felt secure that he could be managed again,” the authors wrote.
Atiku was reportedly asked to join a team to Ogun to inform Obasanjo that he was going to run for the highest office in the land.
“When Atiku and Obasanjo discussed the call to serve as president, Obasanjo said he could not be president because he was a nearly bankrupt ex-convict. Atiku, through General (Aliyu) Gusau, paid money into Obasanjo’s account to begin his financial rehabilitation.
“Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar helped out by granting him an unconditional pardon. Atiku put everything he had at his disposal to support Obasanjo’s emergence as the PDP presidential candidate and, when he joined the ticket as the vice-presidential nominee, continued to make his assets available to Obasanjo and the campaign.

Don't mind the old politician using lies to prop up his bloated sense of self-importance.
Was he not saying how his daughter called Buhari on his phone and the president picked up the call directly instead of his aides who would screen callers before passing on to the president.
Babalegba: Buhari could have saved the country from this calamitous regime. Pity he didn't succeed
How was Buhari's administration not calamitous? Ebilokan is simply Yorbualokan turn to continue APC shege that was fraudulently sold as change 10 years ago.
LieDetector: President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to ensure continuity of his regime by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
“The forthcoming general elections will provide us with the opportunity to convince the electorate of the need for continuity to enable our party to consolidate on our achievements in the last 7 years,” Mr Buhari said.
The president, according to a statement by his spokesperson Femi Adesina on Friday, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from Nasarawa State. “The Government and people of Nasarawa State, as usual, have a great role to play in returning our party to governance in the 2023 elections, in order to create a path for greater socio-economic growth and development.
“This is not only important for Nigeria alone but also for the West African Sub-Region,” the president was further quoted as saying.
olaolaking: You mean your house applies to be supplied but had not been?
I mean that water supply in Lagos has worsened since the Chicago druggie took over Lagos with his a-looter master plan. Do you have different facts
Potable water still luxury 23 years after return of democracy
WHILE the Federal Government continues to proliferate the country with dams, it is such an irony that a state like Lagos, with its massive, constant boast of being a megacity, cannot provide its residents, thereby forcing the bulk of them to take solace in the arms of water boreholes.
At regular intervals, the two major waterworks in the state, the Adiyan, and Iju get grounded leading to the non-availability of water. In April and May last year, for instance, they both produce less than 10% of their installed capacity.
As of today, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Victoria Island, Badagry, Ibeju Lekki, Surulere, Ikorodu, Agege, Ojo, Mushin Kosofe, and most locations in the state are without access to clean water. Consequently, millions of residents now rely on boreholes, rivers, rainwater, as well as comprised wells for their water needs.
On its website, the LWC claims that it has a total installed water production capacity of 210 million gallons per day (MGD), which is far lower than the current estimated daily water demand of 540 million gallons per day.
Also, its plan to produce 745 million gallons per day by the year 2020 through the Lagos Water Supply Master Plan fell flat with the actual number of citizens having access to potable water dropping, rather than increasing 11 years after the launch of the master plan.
A senior staff of LWC, who preferred anonymity said that at present, its agency only supplies water to Lekki, parts of Ikoyi, Victoria Island (VI), Ojodu, Iju, and some parts of Ikotun.
Na so o. Our brethren in obodo America should please emulate the Latinos there o and send dollars back home to help terrible T-Pain achieve his short term goal. Next month will be two years of ebilokan hitting the ground running to worsen APC shege that he packaged as change 10 years ago.
anonimi: World Bank offers Nigeria forex rate advice, as Tinubu eyes N200/Dollar rate
April 23, 2023
The President-elect said he would work with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to *bring down the exchange rate to N200 in his first term.*
“My administration will collaborate with the Central Bank to harmonize the fiscal and monetary policy to achieve immediate stabilization of the value of the naira against the US dollars and other currencies and in the short term, strengthen the naira by boosting the supply of foreign currency and moderating demand.
“The short-term goal is to achieve a naira/dollar rate of 300 naira/US$ and gradually achieve a less than 200 naira rate over the next four years, Tinubu stated.
rapheal5: Bunch of hypocrites, God’s PA everywhere….
Like that GO who drinks tea with god regularly and drove 300kms without fuel.
The tribal hypocrite has remained quiet since APC's terrible T-Pain started running backwards, unlike when PDP's Jonathan was doing much better in governance.
thisweekng: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
Is that why terrible T-Pain has ported to France since he has failed to fix Nigeria in two years just as he is failing to fix Lagos with his 26 years old sakamanje master plan
Tinubu embarks on fifth trip to France as president
Since his inauguration, the president has undertaken at least 25 international trips.
Topsoul147: naija government and their fake projects
Fake projects of misplaced priorities to hoodwink tribesmen followers into forgetting about the government's failures on basic amenities, services, facilities and utilities?
After Sanwo Olu's repeat visit to Adiyan recently, has the water supply to all Lagos homes increased significantly?
A Lagos State lawmaker, Mr Saka Fafunmi, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of the state Water Corporation.
Fafunmi, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), said in Ikeja that the corporation had not been able to justify statutory allocations to it.
The lawmaker, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 at the assembly, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said that the corporation had the capacity to generate much fund internally through water rates but had relied solely on government funding because of poor performance.
'' Anyone that is using water will be willing to pay for it; the corporation has not been giving us water.
"Is there any new community that Water Corporation has given water? People depend on boreholes; even government estates have industrial boreholes.
"Why do we keep pumping money into an agency that does not give us the desired results?'' he asked.
He noted that the Adiyan Waterworks was located at Ifako-Ijaiye, where many of the residents had resorted to digging boreholes as a means of getting water.
''A lot of people are falling sick because they don't drink clean water.
''In the same compound, where you have sewage, is where you have a borehole.
''There is no way you can manage the sewage that it will not leak and pollute the water; everyone drinking such is drinking contaminated water,'' he said.
The lawmaker urged the corporation to increase water reticulation and supply to residents.
nothingspoil70: We no want good news, give us bad news to masturbate on.
Every good news from this government na Lamba, but bad news na genuine
Are you sensible enough to understand that if this is true, along with other fabricated good news of late as we approach the two year mark of terrible T-Pain hitting the ground to run backwards, then dollar should have reached his N300 short term goal before getting to N200 by may 2027?
