olaolaking: But Amakas told us protesters are never arrested in sane lands. I wonder how a tribe will continue to breed fools in multitude
How are Yorubas not breeding fools like Amakas, if we don't expect our governors to spend public money to employ workers for providing ordinary water to every home, office, factory, school etc
If you know of any of the six Yoruba states that has increased water supply more than any of the five Igbo states in the past 26 years, kindly share the details.
Keybliss: So protest and get arrested also happen in the USA
Just as digging boreholes in the same compound with septic tanks and soakaways happens in Chicago and other US cities because governors steal money meant for employing civil servants to provide pipe borne water.
God1000: I am totally against the killings going on across Nigeria from different armed groups in different regions and Benue in particular, I see politics in everything happening, hopefully this dark chapter will end soon
But I don't like it when America plays religious card to fool gullible christians, go to zamfara, borno, Kebbi, yobe, sokoto and see the mayhem being unleashed on the villagers from their own brothers everyday and it doesn't bother USA
Go to Anambra, imo, abia and see the havoc local armed groups are causing there
Go to Oyo, Ogun, Osun and see ritualists on the rampage and killing spree
Go to rivers, delta, bayelsa etc the home of militants and kidnappers
Let's be honest with ourselves, I don't think there's any persecution of Christians in Nigeria, people from different religions are dying everyday, all I see is bad and wicked leaders who don't care about their own people since their families don't live here in Nigeria
America is a useless country right now and they should mind their business, no one cares about their nonsense sanctions, they are known for supporting terrorist groups across the world for as long as it serves their selfish interest, infact Nigeria should place sanctions on America for aiding and abetting the genocide in Gaza which has killed over 45,000 Palestinians and for supporting domestic terrorist groups against minorities across USA
If you do things that are in your personal, selfish interests, then why are you being a hypocrite above?
When did you start sniffing things like the druggie in Aso Rock, for you to talk about us sanctioning America? Na so extreme poverty paupers for your area dey sanction rich people who they depend on for survival? Stop hallucinating please.
swaggerjack: Reno Omokri: I Challenge Tinubu To Prove If He Was Not A Drug Lord In Chicago
Chimarto: See were the north Islamic sect have landed us.
Everything na extremism to them, now everybody is going to feel the heart of the sanctions, both Muslims, Christians, ijeshe,
This has nothing to do with northerners. It's only about Igbo people kidnappers and killers.
Highways: Where Are The Cows? Is Evans A Herdsman?'
When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.
Tinubu has never spoken against the deadly activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country
The same stand Adeyinka Grandson gave on the death of Fasoranti's daughter is where Tinubu, the leader of the Yoruba Conservatives stands. Please see Tinubu's video below. pic.twitter.com/COhiSvabqW

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.
Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....
However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.
Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.
osuofia2: Progress is better than no progress. If you are not from Southern Kaduna, then shut up because you don't have any idea of what went down during the regime of the butcher of Kaduna. It was during his time the Muslim Muslim ticket started. It has always been Muslim Christian till he came with his jihadists ideology.
He changed the kingship system from Chiefdom to emirate system. He openly confessed paying bandits to stop killing in SK, which in true sense, he was paying them to kill more. The money used to buy more sophisticated Weapons. The CDS is a bonafide SK. At least that position has been helpful.
So you admit that Uba Sani is also a butcher? Interesting!!!
UltraSolid: Dullard. How can anyone happily bask in ignorance this shamelessly and publicly? You are no "omoluabi". Many of us know you here and your IPOB antics. Omoluabi are deemed "progressive" and "sophisticated" for established reasons.
Progressive and sophisticated because they can be objective enough to always see the bigger picture. Meaning, even if they detest Tinubu, they will familiarise themselves with the essence of the reform bills and get behind them, if beneficial for Nigeria.
Bode George, a sworn hater of Tinubu, is displaying Omoluabi predisposition while an IPOB lackey like you is making empty noise to satisfy his blind and inobjective hatred of others.
The bolded in your post, I. e "more taxes", disgracess you. Mumu, the tax reform bill consist of four separate bills with some not even about tax per se. Besides even those intrinsically related to taxes offer Nigerian individuals, small businesses etal reduced tax bill and liability.
For example, using the summary of the tax reform in second image, it is clear from number 1 that Small businesses with an annual turnover of ₦50 million or less are exempt from income tax. Number 4 shows that the new minimum income threshold for tax payment means majority of Nigerians will now no longer pay income tax.
Didirin IPOB layabout and loser, you should explain where you got the bolded in your post, which is a bare-faced lie, to be attacking reform bills that massively favours the "common man", totally removing the tax burden for 80% to 90% of them, and our SMEs that employ 80% of Nigerians with how it makes more money available for them to invest in improving capacity and efficacy?
If those in the highest population group, i.e the masses, translating to literally many millions of Nigerians ( and SMEs that employ them) will actually pay less tax then only a fool will note your real agenda and IPOB motivation.
Well-meaning technocrats devised the reform bills. Not bitter and hateful hacks like you that God has abandoned ages ago. It is why you go from disaster to disaster in your home region of the SE and in every aspect of your wretched lives.
Stop your mumbo jumbo hallucinating labour in vain cyber bullying attempt of propaganda lies.
Is the ultimate goal of the tax reforms not to raise more revenue for government?
Kk4: President Bola Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bills, submitted to Nigeria’s National Assembly in October 2024, aim to overhaul the country’s tax system through four key pieces of legislation: the Nigeria Tax Bill 2024, Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill. Here’s a summary:
1. Nigeria Tax Bill 2024: Consolidates taxes, exempts low earners (below ₦800,000/year) and small businesses (turnover ≤ ₦50 million), reduces corporate tax from 30% to 25%, and raises VAT from 7.5% to 15% by 2030. It shifts VAT sharing to favor states based on consumption (60%), introduces a 5% telecom tax, and prioritizes federal tax authority over conflicting laws.
2. Nigeria Tax Administration Bill: Standardizes tax processes across government levels, mandates digital filing, and increases penalties for non-compliance.
3. Nigeria Revenue Service Bill: Replaces the FIRS with the Nigeria Revenue Service to centralize tax collection, including royalties and excise duties.
4. Joint Revenue Board Bill: Creates a board to coordinate federal and state tax efforts.
Goals: Simplify taxation, boost revenue (targeting 18% tax-to-GDP by 2026), promote equity, and stimulate growth.
Status: Passed the House by March 13, 2025, with Senate approval pending after debates.
Controversy: Northern states oppose the VAT formula for favoring richer regions, though the reforms exempt essentials and aim to fund public services. Success depends on effective implementation and addressing regional disparities.
Politicstoday: Jandor don go back to his vomit. Money don finish

Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”
Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.
The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.
“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”
Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Kennyfancy: the Devil that help uba sani get into power
Why are you like this comrade? Vawulence is not good fa.
Did that devil also help T-Pain become president after mobilising northerners for him at APC primaries
Maxymilliano: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him. According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.
Tinubu spoke at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, monitored by The Nation.
At the lecture, Tinubu after his opening remarks, assigned Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.
Tinubu also delegated a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun, to respond to a question on how he (Tinubu) would boost the economy if elected.
Atlantis585: That will also be a DOA (dead on arrival).
Just like his other not well thought out policies, this will equally be challenged and defeated in the courts.
Trump is acting his old age.
Americans made a huge mistake in electing him in the first place.
He is a very sick, demented, racist, and evil human being not fit for the office.
What moral authority do Nigerian tribalists who use rotation, zoning, tribe to clannishly choose public servants have to call anyone racist? Has calling whites racist stopped us from praying and fasting to japa there unlike when we raided, captured and sold our brethren into slavery to Arabs and whites for tobacco, alcohol, mirrors etc. The worst part of the slave trade is our pushing for its continuation after the whites abolished it.
Are we not sick, demented and evil for continuing the slave trade stylishly by exporting looted commonwealth there instead of using it to employ civil servants for the provision of basic services, facilities maintenance and utilities?
anonimi: The often cited biography titled Madame Tinubu: Merchant and King-maker, authored by Nigerian historian Oladipo Yemitan, paints her views regarding slave trading.
On one occasion, during her final sojourn in Abeokuta, she was alleged to have sold a young boy into slavery and was accused of it. When arraigned before Ogundipe Alatise over the matter, she reportedly explained: 'I have a large house-hold and I must feed them well. I need money to do that, that's why'.
— Oladipo. Yemitan, 'Madame Tinubu: Merchant and King-maker'
Another section of Yemitan's Tinubu biography, referred to as the Amadie-Ojo Affair, captures a slave trading deal gone sour in 1853 (notably after the 1852 Treaty abolishing slavery in Lagos) wherein Tinubu tells another slave trader (Domingo Martinez) that "she would rather drown the slaves [20 in number] than sell them at a discount".
Anything for legendhero to come home and enjoy tinubus administration is highly welcome.

anonimi: The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience
The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.
Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.
Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.
God1000: Is he trying to start a war, either nationally or globally?

anonimi: Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?
In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;
or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority? @ @ The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.
Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.

Longer term than the 26 years of looting Lagosians into huge debts despite high IGR and federal allocations and PPP off balance sheet revenues, yet the place is a scamdemic water-less slum?
The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.
At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.
The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.
Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.
A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.
The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.
“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.
Joseph stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ?
Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's House during this Sallah period to go collect peanuts? People trooping to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation offices to collect branded One kilo bag of Rice & Noddles. Did you see the number of people of all ages who troop out to welcome Ex- convict James Ibori to South South! Do you see the number of handle mop following obi as if he is a seat? what of the one following dino malaye?
Your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your Political & Religion Leaders read, understand & digest.

What happened to Amaechi's monorail project that wicked ologogoro Wike failed to continue unlike the federal railway projects built by Jonathan and completed by Buhari?
lolaxavier: Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has asked Governor Nyesom Wike to be holistic in his comments about developmental projects in Rivers State.
Amaechi who was reacting to Wike’s statement on the Rivers monorail project, where he (Governor Wike) said he will not touch the project based on the advise of the people of Rivers State, explained that Governor Wike does not understand that the monorail project belonged to the Rivers people and not him, Amaechi.
Amaechi said same Rivers people had consistently praised the project and had seen it as a way to jump-start the local economy and place the state at the forefront of transport infrastructural development in Africa.
He also said most of the projects being referred to as abandoned projects by Governor Wike were ninety-percent completed.
Amaechi, however, cautioned Governor Nyesom Wike to stop lying to the people of Rivers State.
He said, “Governor Wike said that he will not touch Amaechi’s monorail and that the entire state has told him not to continue with the project. Can someone please tell Wike that the monorail belongs to Rivers State and it’s not Amaechi’s private monorail”, Amaechi stated.
“Governor Wike, which Rivers people told you not to touch the monorail project? Is it the same Rivers people that have consistently praised the project and see it as a catalyst to jump-start the local economy and place the state at the forefront of transport infrastructural development in Africa? Or is Wike aggregating the jaundiced views of the coterie of court-jesters that hang around him daily, as the opinion of the entire people of the State?
“It is sad, very sad that Wike has elected to play politics with this laudable project that was almost completed before Amaechi left office”, he added.
Amaechi, who preceded Wike as governor of the state then described Wike as a “shameless liar” for either underplaying projects embarked upon by his administration or cornering them as his achievement.
“Governor Wike also described several ongoing projects in the State when Amaechi left office as ‘abandoned projects’, which he claimed to have completed or about to complete.
“He specifically mentioned the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity road that connects the Island of Opobo to Andoni and the rest of the State. What a shameless lie! This project was ongoing and was almost completed as at May 29, 2015. May we also remind Wike that the Eagle Island- Diobu road that he once claimed to have been abandoned was 90 percent completed with just the final course of coal tar remaining as at when he succeeded Amaechi.
“It’s repudiating that Wike would even attempt to rubbish and destroy the laudable projects and achievements Amaechi made in the health and educational sectors as governor.
“Shamefully, what has happened in the past months since Wike became governor is that Wike has neglected the model schools and health facilities built by Amaechi and have allowed them to rot away, taken over by weeds and grasses, in tandem with his policy of not wanting to touch Amaechi’s projects or build on Amaechi’s enduring legacies.
“Governor Wike, these projects belong to Rivers State and its people, not Amaechi,” he reiterated.

TheBedWench: The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood)[1][2] is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms).
This concept became codified into the law of some states in the early 20th century. It was associated with the principle of "invisible blackness" that developed after the long history of racial interaction in the South, which had included the hardening of slavery as a racial caste and later segregation. It is an example of hypodescent, the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union between different socioeconomic or ethnic groups to the group with the lower status, regardless of proportion of ancestry in different groups.[3]
The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.

anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
Enough, along with other taxes and loans, to buy more luxuries for our politicians while we grow in extreme poverty and deprivation of common services and facilities maintenance as well as utilities.
chisomkachy: Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.
The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.
Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.
The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

Why did he and Fayemi play politics during the 2012 Ojota fuel deregulation protests, using Buhari's 2011 running mate? That was the year Tinubu described Buhari as expired.
How much do you think petrol would cost now, 13 years after, if APC did not play with our economic wellbeing back then
Omooba77: …says Nigeria experienced economic development during Jonathan’s administration
A former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday, said the protest that trailed the fuel subsidy removal during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 was due to political interests.
Fayemi said this in his keynote address delivered at a national dialogue organised to celebrate the 60th birthday celebration of the founding National Secretary of Alliance for Democracy and Fellow, Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Professor Udenta Udenta in Abuja.
The programme was attended by Jonathan, former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili; former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, among others.
The PUNCH reports that on January 1, 2012, President Goodluck announced the removal of fuel subsidy and adjusted the pump price of petrol from N65 per litre to N141.
The decision sparked mass protests, tagged ‘Occupy Nigeria’ across major cities of the country.
The price was later re-adjusted to N97, after more than a week of protests.
Petrol price was later reduced to N87 in 2015.
