I cannot just rationalize the basis of the HATE that South Africans have for Nigeria. I cannot, and the hate is vicious, widespread and deep. The South Africans claim Nigerians commit crimes in their country; but the hate they ooze is beyond what crimes can cause. Assuming Nigerians commit crimes, the SA police should arrest and prosecute the criminals. Why resort to hate the whole country? Besides, there are less than 40,000 Nigerians in South Africa. How is it that such few immigrants can cause national hate. Why don't Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana ooze such deep hate? Evidently the "crimes" excuse cannot hold, even more so, because there are ×10 more Nigerians in the US, UK, Germany, Canada; yet those countries don't ooze such deep hate. It is a fact that Nigerians are the most educated and the most successful immigrants all over the world. Nigerian immigrants- doctors, IT experts, lecturers, engineers, etc are doing well all over the world. Then what is different with South Africa? Let me now explain. South African's hate for Nigerians is because of ENVY or JEALOUSY. This is the fact. They are INSECURE around Nigerians, becsuse we are more energetic and have the drive to achieve our goals. Envy & insecurity are the issues and we know. Well, let me be clear for posterity sake that South Africa is NOT a competitor to Nigeria, in any aspect. We don't see them as competitors. We know our place as the NO.1 Black nation on earth. This is undisputable. Hating Nigeria would not stop our shine. Nigeria is Africa's GIANT, we are the LEADER of the Black race, we are BIGGER and GREATER that South Africa. These are FACTS and the earlier the South Africans make peace with it, the better for them. No amount of hate can put SA over NGR. It would never happen my people. Nigeria fought for the independence of many African countries, including South Africa. It is funny that Southies, who as recently as 1990s, were still being colonized in Africa, want to claim leadership of a continent that precedes them. That is the delusion that brings hate. Nigeria did not liberate South Africa to come and compete with us over the leadership of Africa. That's not why we liberated you. Besides, in terms of the leadership of Africa, countries like Ethiopia and Algeria rank higher than South Africa. And they don't have the need to compete with Nigeria or hate us. They are secure in themselves. Crimes or no crimes, let South Africans stop their senseless hate for Nigeria. We don't see them as competitors, and they don't qualify as one. Even the Indians who are competitors to China do NOT ooze such hate for the Chinese. The Japanese who suffered two atomic explosions do NOT ooze such hate for Americans. The Ukrainians who are fighting a Russian invasion don't ooze such hate for Russians. Only South Africans ooze vicious hate over nothing. And even, the hate is not directed at the white people who butchered their fathers and who control 78% of their land. Cowardly South Africans cannot challenge their white lords, but they can hate Nigerians who fought to free them. Today, I say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Every Nigerian must now rub it in the face of Southies that we are a bigger and a greater nation. Yes, we have problems, but so does every country. And we haven't run to SA to complain. We are happy with our problems and we would solve them. Lastly, the South African government has a responsibility to educate their people on Nigeria's effort to save them from brutal apartheid. Educate your stupid people. That is the responsibility of the South African govt. If they choose not to, or if they deny Nigeria's sacrifices, then they do themselves a disservice. The world knows the TRUTH, even if South Africa hides/denies it. Every South African must satisfy himself that Nigeria is, was, and will always be the bigger and greater nation. And there are no competitors. Even if there are, they would be Ethiopia and Algeria who are both bigger than SA. South Africans should stop hating. |

Didijiji:They both destroyed Nigeria. But Buhari's own was fundamental damage. |
press9jatv:They both destroyed Nigeria. But Buhari's own was fundamental damage. |
criuze:You cannot rewrite history. Simple. |
Buhari's damage was all encompassing. |
EmiloCorn:Correct. |
Lumarstone:Tinubu has done damage no doubt, but Buhari destroyed the national fabric of society. |
As Nigerians protest the terrible state of the country, we must not forget the person who led us to this point. Because if we do, we run the risk of repeating the same mistake. Former president Buhari is the architect of the problems we are facing today. And this is widely known. Buhari, as president, set out to completely destroy Nigeria. Why? Because he is not a real Nigerian. And he doesn't care about Nigeria. This is one fact every indigenous Nigerian must know. All Fulanis are not Nigerians. They are not from here. They are from the Sahel. Their real home is in the Sahel. They are visitors in Nigeria, and should NOT enjoy same rights and privileges as indigenous Nigerans. All through his 8yrs, Buhari put Fulani interest above Nigeria's interest. Yes, Buhari put Fulani interest first, even if Nigeria crumbles. He doesn't care. Nigerians must realize that the Fulanis are not Nigerians. Buhari, El-Rufai, Kwankwaso, Sultan, Emirs, Sheikh Gumi, etc., are not indigenous Nigerians. They are not. They are children of migrants from the Sahel, and when you make them leaders of Nigeria, you entrust Nigeria to foreigners. When you entrust Nigeria to foreigners, the result is what Buhari did for 8yrs- completely destroyed the fundamental fabric of Nigerian society, politically, economically, aided division by ethnicity, ruined national institutions like the Judiciary, religion, etc. Completely damaged everything and took us 70yrs back. Nigeria suffered immensely because Fulani lead the North, and they put their Fulani interest above Nigeria. Hence, we are here today. Buhari is the untimate Destroyer of Nigeria, and ideally, he shouldn't be allowed to rest easy. This is something we must never forget. Fulani are NOT Nigerians, and never will be. Every Fulani man is an immigrant. Nigeria is not their real home and giving them leadership is giving foreigners control of Nigeria. |

OkCornel:Those refineries were privatised by OBJ, which was the right thing to do. Another govt, Yar Adua, came and reversed the privatisation. That is the problem. They need to be privatised for efficient operations. |
Antitankweapon:Fixing it |
The poster above me is WRONG. I just dont have time to engage people who know little. |
Enough please. |
EreluRoz:He is a spoilt child. |
PUNCH newspaper has taken the job of running propaganda for Dangote. PUNCH newspaper, with their shallow reporting , has started the propaganda that local refineries can end fuel imports. Hell NO. We say NO. Local companies have many advantages over Importers. They have lots of advantages over importers. Local companies should best importers based on unit economics. There is no need for a BAN when Local companies have home advantages. Simple. Dangote wants to ban imports , but export his own fuel. Can you imagine. The same way they said local cement manufacturers can meet our cement needs, today cement is N10,000 per bag. From N1,500 to N10,000. Local companies have only skyrocketed price. The FG should not give in to propaganda. Other companies are competing just fine. Dangote refinery should compete. A) Innoson competes with car importers B) ProForce competes with imported MRAPS B) Air Peace competes with foreign airlines C) Transcorp competes with foreign owned E) Banks compete with foreign banks F) FMCG companies compete with importers Dangote is NOT the only industrialist in Nigeria. Everything Dangote produces, he wants a ban for. No. Economics don't work like that. Every business should compete. Sometimes, imports might be cheaper for consumers. Dangote cement and sugar are more expensive than imported ones. Dangote used a BAN on cement and sugar to destroy other Nigerian companies. Ibeto cement and Nigercem were destroyed by Dangote, thousands of jobs lost and cement price skyrocketed. Also, Dangote's persistent war with BUA is a pointer to the RISKS of granting his wishes. As Dangote's refinery is home based, he has lots of advantages over importers. He should be able to offer cheaper quality fuel and win the market. Why is he looking for a BAN to destroy other companies that have supplied fuel before his refinery. |

Ttipsy:Yes, a reasonable leader would take power soon. All these revelations are not ordinary. Nigeria is facing a rebirth and a new leader is coming. Dont worry about the North. |
