AbuAeesha: Lolz, I thought you were a devoted Christian when I started coversing with you, unfortunately you ain't because if you are, you would have confirmed it that Moses fasted in the Bible.
I will give you one instance, even though there is more:
Exodus 34:28: "Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water"
Moses fasted for two separate 40-day periods on Mount Sinai (also referred to as Mount Horeb) while receiving the Ten Commandments and the Law from God. During these 80 total days (split into two sessions), he abstained from both food and water.
The Qur'an is a confirmation of previous books sent by God...
Like I stated before on this thread, "I am not anti-christianity" just like you labeled yourself as anti Islam(funny)
I have lived with Christians for most part of my life...If you want I can give you classes in Christianity...but you are afraid to even chat me.
I am proud of my faith...I am a Muslim (one who submit the to the will of God) Bros I believe you can read and write? Here is the question again, leave Bible alone Antisiam: Show me any previous prophets in quran that fasted You even said someone is afraid to chat with you, jor who are you that Anti-islam will be afraid of to chat with? Is like you are new on NL abi? Goan ask about Anti-islam from your leaders here on NL |

And don't forget to obey Quran 9:5
So, as soon as Al-Ashhurul-Hurum have passed, then key the Mushrikun wherever you found them, and capture them, and keep them under surveillance and establish for them all means for ambush. So if they repented and took a turn (to reform) and established As-Salat and paid up Az-Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, continuously Merciful |

AbuAeesha: Good thing about Islam is that there are no hidden laws, and the truth is glaring, i can only show/proof the truth to you. But guidance is in the hands of God alone.
Answer to your question: (Qur'an Surah Al-A'raf 7:142): We appointed for Moses thirty nights then added another ten—completing his Lord’s term of forty nights. Moses commanded his brother Aaron, “Take my place among my people, do what is right, and do not follow the way of the corruptors.”
Musa fasts and worships Allah for Forty Days Allah reminds the Children of Israel of the guidance that He sent to them by speaking directly to Musa and revealing the Tawrah (Torah) to him. In it, was their law and the details of their legislation. Allah stated here that He appointed thirty nights for Musa. The scholars of Tafsir said that Musa fasted this period, and when they ended, Musa cleaned his teeth with a twig. Allah commanded him to complete the term adding ten more days, making the total forty. When the appointed term finished, Musa was about to return to Mount Tur, as Allah said,
(O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a covenant with you on the right side of the Mount) 20:80. Musa left his brother Harun with the Children of Israel and commanded him to use wisdom and refrain from mischief. This was only a reminder, for Harun was an honorable and noble Prophet who had grace and exalted standard with Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him and the rest of the Prophets.
I wish you true guidance! Where is your Musa fasted for 30 or 40 days from this your write up? So your Musa that was on Mount Sinai to received the law means he was there to fasted for 30 or 40 days right? |

Islam › Re: Ramadan: What Break Your Fast? by Antlisiam: 12:35pm On Feb 27 |
AbuAeesha: 😊 FYA,me I am not an anti-christian. I don't need to be an anti...to prove my point or believe.
I am Muslim. Fasting is not a new law, it has been prescribed to those came before Prophet Muhammad.
I am quite surprised you are asking this, 😊
FYI, Fasting was prescribed for prophets and nations before Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a universal act of devotion, discipline, and spiritual growth, as indicated by the Quranic verse 2:183. While the specific methods varied, it was ordained for previous communities to foster piety. Notable instances include Moses (Musa) fasting for 40 days before receiving scripture on Mount Tur and Noah (Nuh) fasting to mark the halting of his ark.
Key historical examples of fasting by previous prophets include:
Prophet Moses (Musa): Fasted for 40 days and nights in the desert before receiving the Taurah.
Prophet Jesus (Isa): Fasted for 40 days in the desert before beginning his prophetic mission.
Prophet Noah (Nuh): Fasted on the 10th of Muharram (Day of Ashura) to commemorate the safety of his ark.
Prophet David (Dawud): Known for fasting every other day, which is considered highly virtuous. Show me any previous prophets in quran that fasted |

AbuAeesha: Seems you are afraid to chat me personally or you don't have the confidence, 😊no problem.
The Arabic word "Islam" is derived from a root meaning submission, obedience, and peace.
Islam teaches complete submission to the will of one God will to achieve peace.
A Muslim is a person who adheres to Islam, either before or after the coming of the messenger of God (Muhammad)
Islam is not just a set of beliefs, but a complete, holistic way of life guiding individual, social, moral, and legal conduct.
The term Islam have been in existence for long time...and all those guided by the spirit of God are Muslims.
Fasting is a pillar of Islam and if you read your scriptures well you will find out that God has prescribed fasting to his Messengers long before sending Prophet Muhammad.
By the Jesus never refer himself as a Christian.. Who are you that Anti-islam will be afraid of? Bobo, read the question again If fasting, one of the five pillars of Islam was not among the laws given to previous prophets, why calling them Muslims? |

AbuAeesha: The laws given to each prophet differs, and that doesn't mean ingenuity of the respective message. The Creator of the universe can wish to do whatever He wishes, with no one to question Him.

Have a good day pal If fasting which is one of the five pillars of Islam was not among the laws given to previous prophets, why calling them Muslims then? |
Islam › Re: Ramadan: What Break Your Fast? by Antlisiam: 10:55am On Feb 21 |
AbuAeesha: 😊 I just stated before "act of obedience to God" It is an instruction from God.
The fact that you might not believe in the Scripture/laws sent to Muhammad doesn't make you are right.
The laws of Moses, Ambraham, Jesus ain't the same.
Thank you dear.
Perhaps you want to talk more here is my contact. 08134357899 (will be expecting your call/chat)
So we don't have to bug this platform with discussions. Those you called Islamic prophets, do they fail to obey allah's instruction by observing ramadan or allah never instructed anyone of them? |
