Christianity EtcRe: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) In The Bible by aob2882(op): 4:05am On Nov 22, 2015
Up to the time of Jesus (peace be upon him), the Israelites were still awaiting that prophet like unto Moses prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:18. When John the Baptist came, they asked him if he was Christ and he said "no". Then they asked him if he was Elias and he said "no". Then in apparent reference to Deuteronomy 18:18, they asked him "Art thou that Prophet?" and he answered "no" (John 1:19-21).

In the Gospel, according to John (Chapters 14, 15, 16) Jesus spoke of the "Paraclete" or comforter who will come after him, who will be sent by Father as another Paraclete, who will teach new things that the contemporaries of Jesus could not bear. While the Paraclete is described as the spirit of truth (whose meaning resemble Muhammad's famous title Al-Amin, the trustworthy), he is identified in one verse as the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). Such a designation is however inconsistent with he profile of that Paraclete. In the words of the Dictionary of the Bible (Ed. J. Mackenzie) "Those items, it must be admitted do not give an entirely cohesive picture."

Indeed history tells us that may early Christians understood the Paraclete to be a man and not a spirit, This might explain the following who responded to some one who claimed, without meeting the criteria stipulated by Jesus , to be the awaited "Paraclete". It was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper, admonisher sent by God after Jesus. He testified of Jesus, taught new things that could not be borne at Jesus' time, he spoke what he heard (revelation), he dwells with the believers (through his well-preserved teachings). Such teachings will remain forever because he was the last messenger of God, the only Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and on the path of PRESERVED truth. He told of many things to come which "came to pass" in the minutest detail meeting, the criterion given by Moses to distinguish between true and false prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22). He did reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement (John 16:8-11).

Medicis:
Deuteronomy 34:10-12
10 And there arose not a PROPHET since in Israel LIKE UNTO MOSES, whom the Lord knew FACE TO FACE

11 In all the SIGNS AND WONDERS, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

12 And in all that MIGHTY POWER, and in all the GREAT TERROR which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel. Mohammed clearly did not possess all these xtics. He is not the prophet like unto Moses. STOP DECEIVING YOURSELF!!!
Ok so tell us which Prophet is he referring to
is it Jesus?

malvisguy212:
The Trinity states that: (1) there is only one God by nature (2) there are three Persons (Father, Son,
Holy Spirit) who all share the divine nature (3) and that all three Persons are distinct. Jesus, the Son, in His incarnation took upon Himself a human nature and was 100% God and 100% man.

When He worshiped God was he worshipping Himself? When He was praying to God was He praying to Himself? No, in His human nature he was worshipping the Father who was God, because that is the proper duty of man.

There are things God the father know that Jesus in his Human nature do not know, for example if you notice a demon possessed man being healed, prior to his healing, he act strange, he speak with uncontrolled voice, and he say words which in his real sense would not say, but the time he get healed, when you told him what he say, he will deny saying such things and acting in such a way, why? Because his demonic nature and human nature are DISTINCT from each other ( just as God and Jesus was ).

so Jesus is a man who was possessed by God, here are proof:

Jesus claimed to have many of the
attributes that God alone possesses.
Jesus claimed to have sent the prophets:
Matthew 23:34
"Therefore, behold, I am sending you
prophets and wise men and scribes;
some of them you will kill and crucify,
and some of them you will scourge in
your synagogues, and persecute from city to city,

However, the Old Testament indicates
that God sent the prophets. Therefore,
Jesus was claiming the authority that was previously reserved only for God.

Jesus claimed that His origins are from
heaven, whereas men are from the
world:
John 3:13
"And no one has ascended into heaven,
but He who descended from heaven,
even the Son of Man.

Jesus also claimed to have existed
"before the world began":
John 17:5
"And now, Father, glorify me in your
presence with the glory I had with you
before the world began."

This statement is an obvious claim to
deity. Not only did Jesus claim to exist
before the creation of the universe, but
He claimed to share the glory of God!

Jesus also claimed that He had "all
authority... in heaven and on earth" and
that everything of God was His.

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came up and spoke to them,
saying, "All authority has been given to
Me in heaven and on earth."

Jesus accepted the title of God. Not only did Jesus claim the attributes of God,but He even accepted the title GOD, Thomas the ever-skeptical disciple, was unconvinced that Jesus had risen from the dead and wanted to see direct proof. However, when the Lord Jesus appeared to him, his only reaction was "My Lord and my God!"

John 20:28-29
Thomas answered and said to Him, "MY LORD AND MY GOD !" Jesus said to him,
"Because you have seen Me, have you
believed? Blessed are they who did not
see, and yet believed."

What was Jesus' reaction to the title of
God? Did Jesus rebuke him for calling
Him "God"? No! In fact, Jesus praised
Thomas for his belief. And the belief that Thomas exhibited was that Jesus was LORD AND GOD . If Jesus were not God, accepting such a statement for truth would be a grievous sin. Either Jesus is God or He would have to be a sinner!
Matthew 19:16-17
16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good[a] Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good?[b] No one is good but One, that is, God.[c] But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَـذَا مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ لِيَشْتَرُواْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُمْ مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ {Quran 2 vs79}
Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.

Christianity EtcRe: 12 Biblical Reason For Attending Church by aob2882: 10:27pm On Nov 21, 2015
DanceVille:
You are not saved by going to church. You become a Christian by
repentance and believing in Jesus
Christ alone for salvation. You are
saved only by faith in Christ and
what he did for you on that cross.
After you are saved, you will be a
new creature with new desires. A
believer in Christ should desire to
attend a biblical church and have
regular fellowship with other
believers. It is essential in your
walk of faith and will help you as
God makes you into the image of
Christ. On Sunday mornings you
can either make a bad habit of
being lazy and doing things that
have nothing to do with God. Or
you can make a good habit of
waking up and participating in a
godly church in your area.
Christians don’t obey Scripture or
go to church because we think it
saves us. We do it because we
desire Christ and are so thankful
for what he did for us. You can
never have enough of hearing the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. Do not
neglect meeting together. Make
regular church attendance your
priority. You know what God wants
you to do so do it. You will have
more zeal for Christ and you will
not be disappointed. Don’t go to
church for the wrong reasons, but
for the right ones.

1. Jesus Christ died for the church
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love
your wives, just as Christ loved the
church and gave himself up for her.

2. We must be imitators of Christ
and his apostles
Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth,
where he had been brought up, and
on the Sabbath day he went into
the synagogue, as was his custom.
He stood up to read,
Mark 1:21 Jesus and his
companions went to the town of
Capernaum. When the Sabbath day
came, he went into the synagogue
and began to teach.
Luke 6:6 And it came to pass also
on another sabbath, that he
entered into the synagogue and
taught: and there was a man
whose right hand was withered.
Acts 11:26 and when he found him,
he brought him to Antioch. So for a
whole year Barnabas and Saul met
with the church and taught great
numbers of people. The disciples
were called Christians first at
Antioch.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers
of me , even as I also am of Christ.

3. You learn and better understand
Scripture. It increases your growth
in your walk of faith.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of
Christ dwell in you richly, teaching
and admonishing one another in
all wisdom , singing psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, with
thankfulness in your hearts to God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to
present yourself to God as one
approved, a worker who does not
need to be ashamed and who
correctly handles the word of truth.
Proverbs 1:5 Let the wise hear and
increase in learning , and the one
who understands obtain guidance.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is
God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness,

4. There is more guidance
Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no
guidance, a people falls, but in an
abundance of counselors there is
safety.
Proverbs 24:6 for by wise guidance
you can wage your war, and in
abundance of counselors there is
victory.

5. To have fellowship with your
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
1 John 1:3 We proclaim to you
what we have seen and heard, so
that you also may have fellowship
with us. And our fellowship is with
the Father and with his Son, Jesus
Christ.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or
three gather in my name, there am
I with them.”
Matthew 28:20 and teaching them
to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of
the age.”

6. It is important to have
fellowship with other believers.
Share, encourage, teach, love,
help, etc.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us
consider how we may spur one
another on toward love and good
deeds, not giving up meeting
together, as some are in the habit
of doing, but encouraging one
another –and all the more as you
see the Day approaching.
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one
another’s burdens, and so fulfil the
law of Christ.
Acts 2:42-47 They devoted
themselves to the apostles’
teaching and to fellowship, to the
breaking of bread and to prayer.
Everyone was filled with awe at the
many wonders and signs
performed by the apostles. All the
believers were together and had
everything in common. They sold
property and possessions to give
to anyone who had need. Every
day they continued to meet
together in the temple courts. They
broke bread in their homes and ate
together with glad and sincere
hearts, praising God and enjoying
the favor of all the people. And the
Lord added to their number daily
those who were being saved.

7. To worship God
John 4:23-24 But the hour is
coming, and is now here, when the
true worshipers will worship the
Father in spirit and truth, for the
Father is seeking such people to
worship him. God is spirit, and
those who worship him must
worship in spirit and truth.”
Psalms 150:6 Let everything that
has breath praise the LORD ! Praise
the LORD!

1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether
you eat or drink, or whatever you
do, do all to the glory of God.
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge
you, brothers and sisters, in view
of God’s mercy, to offer your
bodies as a living sacrifice, holy
and pleasing to God—this is your
true and proper worship. Do not
conform to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve
what God’s will is—his good,
pleasing and perfect will.

8. Christians make up the body of
Christ. We belong to each other
and we are to use what God has
equipped us with for good.

Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of
us has one body with many
members, and these members do
not all have the same function, so
in Christ we, though many, form
one body, and each member
belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:6-8 We have different
gifts, according to the grace given
to each of us. If your gift is
prophesying, then prophesy in
accordance with your faith; if it is
serving, then serve; if it is
teaching, then teach; if it is to
encourage, then give
encouragement; if it is giving, then
give generously; if it is to lead, do
it diligently; if it is to show mercy,
do it cheerfully.

Ephesians 4:11-12 So Christ
himself gave the apostles, the
prophets, the evangelists, the
pastors and teachers, to equip his
people for works of service, so that
the body of Christ may be built
up until we all reach unity in the
faith and in the knowledge of the
Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of
the fullness of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:26-27 If one part
suffers, every part suffers with it; if
one part is honored, every part
rejoices with it . Now you are the
body of Christ, and each one of
you is a part of it.

9. To be a good example
1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone
look down on you because you are
young, but set an example for the
believers in speech, in conduct, in
love, in faith and in purity.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Follow God’s
example, therefore, as dearly loved
children and walk in the way of
love, just as Christ loved us and
gave himself up for us as a fragrant
offering and sacrifice to God.

10. It is important for spiritual
growth and spiritual strength
Colossians 1:9-10 And so, from
the day we heard, we have not
ceased to pray for you, asking that
you may be filled with the
knowledge of his will in all spiritual
wisdom and understanding, so as
to walk in a manner worthy of the
Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing
fruit in every good work and
increasing in the knowledge of
God.

1 Peter 2:2-5 Like newborn babies,
crave pure spiritual milk, so that by
it you may grow up in your
salvation, now that you have
tasted that the Lord is good. As
you come to him, the living Stone
—rejected by humans but chosen
by God and precious to him you
also, like living stones, are being
built into a spiritual house to be a
holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be
strong in the Lord and in his
mighty power. Put on the full
armor of God, so that you can take
your stand against the devil’s
schemes. For our struggle is not
against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of
this dark world and against the
spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms. Therefore put on
the full armor of God, so that when
the day of evil comes, you may be
able to stand your ground, and
after you have done everything, to
stand. Stand firm then, with the
belt of truth buckled around your
waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, and with
your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of
peace. In addition to all this, take
up the shield of faith, with which
you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one. Take the
helmet of salvation and the sword
of the Spirit, which is the word of
God. And pray in the Spirit on all
occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be
alert and always keep on praying
for all the Lord’s people

11. To put God first. Instead of
doing other things on Sunday go
to church

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his
kingdom and his righteousness ,
and all these things will be given
to you as well.

12. It is never good to isolate
yourself from other believers. In
your time of need how can
someone help you? In someone
else’s time of need how can you
help them? Your spiritual growth
will be hindered.

Proverbs 18:1 Whoever isolates
himself seeks his own desire; he
breaks out against all sound
judgment.
Going to church regularly is doing
God’s will. As a reminder just
because there are many people in
a building doesn’t mean that is a
church. Don’t go to a worldly
church, but actually get up, stop
making stupid excuses, and find a
biblical place of worship today!!
(Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not
be foolish, but understand what
the will of the Lord is.)
Please how does Jesus Christ (pbuh) worship ?
Christianity EtcProphet Muhammad (pbuh) In The Bible by aob2882(op): 10:14pm On Nov 21, 2015
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the Old Testament:

The Qur’an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel".
1. MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY:

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.

If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after
Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will
fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.

However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses (pbuh):

i) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously without any male intervention.

[Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]

ii) Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.

iii) Both died natural deaths. Jesus (pbuh) has been raised up alive. (4:157-158)

Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh).

Words in the mouth:

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim.

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

[Deuteronomy 18:18]

iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment. Jesus (pbuh) said, "My kingdom is not of this world." (John 18:36).

v) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime but Jesus (pbuh) was rejected by his
people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his own, but his own received him not."

iv)Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not bring any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18).
2. It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
3. Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah:

It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."

When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned".
4. prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned by name in the old testament:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:

"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."

"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters
of Jerusalem."

In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament:

Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6:

"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' "

All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians.
1. John chapter 14 verse 16:
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.
2. Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."

3. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".

"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the
Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the
Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.

Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise
that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the
Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh).
4. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is
come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".

The Sprit of Truth, spoken about in this prophecy referes to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Since the Qur’an states that Muhammad was the first Muslim, while at the same time declaring that there were Muslims before the time of Muhammad, is this not a clear proof of the existence of a contradiction in the Qur’an?

لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
162. "Say: ' Verily my prayer and my worship, my life and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds."

163. "No associate (there is) for Him, and this (submission) I have been commanded to, and I am the first of the Muslims."

In the first verse, mentioned here, it points to the matter that the Prophet (S) should tell the pagans that not only from the point of belief he is a Unitarian and a monotheist, hut also, from the point of action, whatever good deed he does, including his prayer, all his worships, and even his death and life, in all, are for the sake of the Lord of the Worlds. The verse says:

"Say: ' Verily my prayer and my worship, my life and death are for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds."
That is, I am alive for Him, and I die for His sake. I devote whatever I have in His way. All my desires, the whole love of mine, and the entire existence that I have is Allah’s .

In order to nullify all kinds of paganism and idolatry, in this verse, it emphasizes that Allah (S.w.T.) is the One that there is no associate and no compeer for Him. It says:

"No associate (there is) for Him....."
And, finally, the verse continues saying:

"... and this (submission) I have been commanded to, and I am the first of the Muslims."
To be the first of the Muslims for the Prophet of Islam (S) is either from the point of quality and importance of Islam, because the degree of his submission and his Islam was higher than all prophets, or that he was the[b] first person of this community who accepted the religion of[/b] the Qur'an and[b] Islam[/b].

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.Exodus 20:2-6
The above verse is telling you that your bowing for worship should be for One God alone.

Muslims follow the Religion OF Jesus; the faith that he spoke of and practiced. Likewise, We worship The same God that he worshipped; The God of Abraham and The God of all of the Prophets whom lived on Earth.

Whereas today some people who claim to follow the way of Jesus, Abraham, and Moses (peace be upon them) have deviated from the path. And in the case of Christianity, people have mistakenly created an entire faith about the Prophet Jesus and thus have made him into something that he never claimed to be.

"Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but an upright Muslim (one who submitted their will to God)." – Qur’an English Translation [3:67]

Jesus and all of the Prophets before him Worshiped the same as Muslims Worship today
When a Muslim prays or thanks God he does so in the same fashion and from that was taught to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and all of the previous Prophets of God (May peace be upon them all). You will find that when a Muslim prays he places his forehead on the ground in total submission to God Almighty. Let us see how the Prophets (including Jesus) prayed according to the Qur'an and Bible:

"These are some of the Prophets whom GOD blessed. They were chosen from among the descendants of Adam, and the descendants of those whom we carried with Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom we guided and selected. When the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they fall prostrate, weeping." – Qur’an English Translation [19:58]

"And he (Jesus) went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." - New Testament (Matthew 26:39)

"And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid." - New Testament (Matthew 17:6)

"And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying," - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Genesis 17:3)

"Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?" - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Genesis 17:17)

"And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped." - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Exodus 34:cool

“And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.” - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Numbers 20:6)

"And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?" - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Numbers 16:20-22)

And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped[/color] the LORD with [their] faces to the ground. - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Nehemiah 8:6)

"And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did [color=#990000]worship
, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?" - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Joshua 5:14)

"And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?" - Old Testament (Tanakh) (Ezekiel 9:cool

malvisguy212:
the old testament were part of the scripture BUT This does not mean, however,
that everything in the Scriptures
applies to us as law

Through Moses,God gave a law to Israel. We can learn much from that law. But it was never given to the church of Christ as a law.

The purpose of the old testament is for christians to learn of God plans:

Romans 15:4
“For whatever things were written
BEFORE were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have
HOPE”

Although the Old and New Testaments together form the Scriptures, the New Covenant SUPERSEDE and REPLACE the Old Covenant.

Here what God say in Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 31:31-34
31
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISREAL
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will NOT BE LIKE THE COVENANT I MADE WITH THEIR ANCESTORS when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to[ a] them,[b]” declares the Lord.
33“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God, and they will be my people.34No longer will they teach their neighbor,or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

This new covenant was fullfiled in the new testament.

When I say " the New Covenant SUPERSEDE the old " this is what I mean.

The ten commandments no longer apply as law because in the doctrine of Christ they are completely superseded. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus
demands much more of us than the ten commandments. He not only forbids murder and adultery, but also the CAUSE, hate and lust. We are to love God with ALL OUR MIND, if you love God you will keep His commandments, so the key word is LOVE. No wonder Jesus give the TWO great commandments involving love God and your fellow human. So, love for God
and fellowman, not just because there is a command: “You shall not kill”.

Hope you understand now?
Did you know more than Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)?
did't he (peace be upon him) said that "17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven". Matthew 5:17-19King James Version (KJV)

HAJJ (PILGRIMAGE) Pilgrimage is a ceremonial journey to Mecca that is inferred obligatory upon those who are healthy and financially sufficient. Muslims world over, circumblates round the sacred stone (KA’ABAH); chanting the glory and unity of God. The Qur’an mentioned the name of the city as BACA. It reads, “Verily the first house of worship appointed for mankind was that at BACCA (MECCA) full of blessing and guidance for the entire world. Qur’an 3:96 It is alluring that the name of the city “BACCA” was clearly mentioned in the Bible; it says, “Who Passing through the Valley of BA’CA, make it a well, the rain also filled the pools”. Psalm 84: 6 The well mentioned, is the well known as ZAMZAM which Hagar (the mother of Ishmael); miraculously found under the feet of her son (Ishmael). The Bible says, “Then God opened her (Hagar) eyes and she saw a well of water. She went and filled the skin of water. And gave the boy (Ishmael) a drink”. Genesis 21: 19 This well (Zamzam) was presently in Mecca where Muslims went every year to perform pilgrimage. For a perspicuous reference on pilgrimage, trace the following passage. “All the flocks of kedar shall be gathered together to you; the rams of Nebioth shall minister to you: they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory”. Isaiah 60:7. An illustration depicting the pilgrims in their pilgrim garb; the rich and the poor appeared in white linen expressing their humbleness and humility in submission to God. See Isaiah 60:7 The flocks of Kedar mentioned in the above passage are the Arabs; the descendants of Ishmael through Kedar. Kedar is the second son of Ishmael according to Genesis 25:13. Ezekiel 27:21 reads, “Arabia and all the princess of Kedar”. With this few biblical evidences, one can know that, Islam is the only religion mentioned by God Almighty through his Prophets; Allah the Exalted says, “Verily the religion with Allah is Islam; those who were given the scriptures (Jews and Christians) did not differ except out of mutual jealousy after knowledge has come to them”. Qur’an 3:19.

Five pillars of Islam mentioned in the Bible
Pillars are the fundamentals principles of Islam which are obligatory upon every Individual Muslim to believe and practice through all days of their life. ISLAM was build upon five (5) pillars. They are: 1) TAUHEED (Believe that, there is no God but ALLAH and Muhammad (Pbuh) is the messenger of ALLAH). 2) SALAAT (The five daily prayers) 3) ZAKAAT (Giving Alms or Charity). 4) SAWM [Fasting in the month of Ramadan (9th Month of Islam)]. 5) HAJJ (Pilgrimage to Mecca; this obligatory upon those who are financially and physically sufficient to perform once in life time). WHAT THE BIBLE REALLY TEACHES It is exhilarating in our zest to extricate our Christian brothers from eternal judgement; for that, I was highly exulted when I discover that what the Bible really teaches as part of worship does not differ from these five pillars of ISLAM. The testimony of the Bible attested to the fact that, these five pillars of Islam are what the Prophets sent by God did and practice as part of their method of worship. The following examples will suffice: TAUHEED Tauheed is the monotheistic believe in one God; without the association of any Partner to Him in worship, it was the first Islamic Creed that one Most utter and believe before being a Muslim. It goes thus, “I TESTIFY, THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND MUHAMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER”. This creed is exactly what the prior prophets believe and command their people to believe. For example, “God Says, I am the lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; you shall have no other gods before me, you shall not make for yourself any graven Image or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down to them or serve them: for I the lord your God, I am a Jealous God. Visiting the Iniquities of the Fathers upon the Children to their third and forth Generation of those who hate me. And showing steadfast love to thousand of those who love me and keep my commandments”. This verse is teaching Tauheed (pure monotheism) which is the worshiping of one and only true God; without the association of any partner to him in worship. When Moses was reporting the commandments to his people; he said, “The first of all commandments is hear, O Israel, the lord our God is one lord”. Deuteronomy 6:4. If we also refer to the book of Isaiah; God says, “I am the first and lam the last and beside me, there is no God”. Isaiah 44:6 ……that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he (God) before me, there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I even, I am the lord and beside me there is no Saviour”. Isaiah 43:11 Similarly, Jesus was asked by a man, “Good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? And Jesus answered and said unto him, why do you call me good? There is no good but one that is God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments”. Mark 10:17-18 When Jesus was asked about the first commandment, he said, “The first of all commandments is, hear, O Israel; the lord our God the lord is one”. Mark 12:29 According to the fore quoted biblical references, what Jesus Christ enjoins on his followers is the worship of only one God. So those who believe in three gods as one (Trinity); are they true Christians that believe the teachings of the Bible and the Prophets or they are pagans and polytheists? The second part of this Islamic Creed, after believing in one God is, “I TESTIFY THAT MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF GOD” This creed is possibly applied to all messengers of God. For example, during the time of MOSES; what one will say to become a believer before Moses is, “I TESTIFY THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND MOSES IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH”. JESUS utters the same ISLAMIC creed in Favour of his followers. Jesus said, “And this is life eternal that they might know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” John 17:3 for some one who wants to become a believer during the time of Jesus, what he will say with epitome to the above passage (John 17:3) is, “I TESTIFY THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH, AND JESUS IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH (GOD)”. This is the same to all messengers sent by God. If you are a Christian; ask yourself if you have ever utter this creed once in your oath of allegiance to Jesus Christ, if you did; then you can still believe in Muhammad while you believe in Jesus Christ (may peace be upon them) because they are from one God and at the same time sent with the same message; which is the total submission of mankind to the will of God. 2. SALAAT (PRAYER) This is the second pillar of ISLAM which is obligatory upon every individual Muslim to perform five times daily. The method of praying practiced by Muslims (kneeling, bowing, prostrating, etc.) were strange to our loyal Christians, but not strange to the prior Prophets sent by God. As the Bible records, the way we (Muslims) pray is exactly as the prior Prophets did prayed. For example: ABRAHAM [PROPHET IBRAHIM] (A.S) “And Abraham, fell on his face and God Talk with him saying……..” Genesis 17:3 JOSHUA [PROPHET YUSHA’U] (A.S) “And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and did worship” Joshua 5:14. MOSES [PROPHET MUSA] (A.S) AND AARON [PROPHET HARUN] (A.S) “And they (Moses and Aaron) fell upon their faces and the glory of the lord appeared unto them” Numbers 20:6 LOT [PROPHET LUT] (A.S) “And Lot seeing them rose up to meet them and he bow himself with his face towards the ground” Genesis 19:1 ELIJAH [PROPHET WALYASA’A] (A.S) “And Elijah went up to the top of camel: and he cast himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees. I kings 18:42. DAVID (PROPHET DAWUD] (A.S) “Come let us worship and bow down let us kneel before the lord our maker”. Psalm 95:6 EZRA [PROPHET UZAIR] (A.S) It really satiates our curiosity when we analyze that, Ezra and his people had performed a mobilized congregational prayer that perfectly epitomized the system observed by the Muslims in their Mosques. Muslims often gather themselves every Friday for a mobilized congregational prayer with a minimum number of twelve Muslims present. Thus the passage reads, “And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they have made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah and Maaseiah, on his right hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadanah, Zechariah and Meshullam. And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people (for he was standing above all the people) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: and Ezra blessed the lord the great God. And all the people answered Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the lord with their faces to the ground”. Nehemiah 8:4-6 If a Muslim will find a rip of the above passage; he might expect it coming from a Muslim book of prayer (SIFFAT SALAAT) for the lucid analogy we have observed between them. However, it will be more perspicacious if we analyses the passage in a paraphrased order. 1. “And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood which they have made for that purpose”. Nehemiah 8:4 The above reference epitomize what the Muslims called “KHUTBA” (Sermon) which the IMAM (leader of the prayer) usually observed before the commencement of every Friday congregational prayer; which he did by standing upon a pulpit as exactly performed by Ezra. (See Nehemiah 8:4). In addition, the number of people that performed the congregational prayer with prophet Ezra is thirteen (13) which is compatible with the Islamic injunction; Islam obligates the minimum number of people to observe a Friday congregational prayer to twelve (12). 2. “Ezra opens the book”. Nehemiah 8:5 When Ezra opens the book; did he just look at the book? Instead, he reads it to the people. At first, the Imam (Leader of the Muslims prayer) will deliver a sermon to admonish the Maamus (the people following the prayer) which includes quotations from the glorious Qur’an and the Hadith (the tradition of our beloved prophet). After that, the Qur’an is recited at the beginning of every Raka’at (Performance). This is as exactly performed by prophet Ezra (pbuh). (See Nehemiah 8:5) 3. “For he (Ezra) was standing above all the people”. Nehemiah 8:5 During the sermon, the Imam (leader of the Muslims prayer) stands above the people on a pulpit as exactly performed by Ezra. See illustration below: Muslims during Friday congregational prayer; the Imam stands on the pulpit to deliver the sermon as did by Ezra (Nehemiah 8:6) 4. “When he (Ezra) opened the book, all the people stood up”. Nehemiah 8:5 It is an obligatory act of prayer (in Islam) that one must first stand (TAKBIR IHRAM). So, after delivering the sermon, the Imam stands in the front while the followers stands at his back as exactly performed by Ezra. See illustration below: . 5. “And Ezra blessed the lord THE GREAT GOD. And all the people answered Amen! Amen!! With lifting up their hands”….. Nehemiah 8:6 Amazing, this is exactly as observed by the Muslims in their mosques; the Imam leading the prayer will first lift up his hand and say “ALLAHU AKBAR” which corresponding English translation means “GOD IS GREAT” [Compare it with what the passage says, “And Ezra blessed the lord; THE GREAT GOD. (Nehemiah 8:6)] And all the followers at the back will do after him. See illustration below: Muslims in prayer session; lifted up their hands in prayer and submission to the Great God as did by Ezra. See Nehemiah 8:6 Secondly, when Ezra blessed the Lord; all the people answered; Amen, Amen,” (Nehemiah 8:6). Blessing the Lord is one of the obligatory aspects of the Muslims prayer. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad says in a Hadith, “There is no validity in the salaat (prayer) of any one of you; who prayed without reading the Mother of the Qur’an [Sura Al-Fatiha (the opening)”. Mother of the Qur’an (Sura Al-Fatiha) is the first chapter of the Qur’an; it read thus, “Praise be to Allah (God); the Lord of the world, the beneficent, the merciful. Master of the day of judgement. You alone we worship and you alone we ask for help. Guide us unto the right part; the part of those whom you have bestowed your favour; not the part of those who earn your anger; nor the part of those who go astray”. There is no biblical statement that can compare with this in its beauty and style of praise to God. 6. “And all the people answered; Amen, Amen,” Nehemiah 8:6 The same event took place in the Muslims mosques; when the first chapter of the Qur’an (Surah Al-Fatiha) was first recited by the Imam leading the Prayer, the followers at the back answered, Ameen. 7. “And they bow their heads”. Nehemiah 8:6 This is what the Muslims called, Ruku’u (bowing); after recitation from the verses of the Qur’an, it is the next thing that Muslims did after saying Ameen, as observed by prophet Ezra and his people. See illustration below. Muslims in bowing position (RUKU’U) during prayer as did by Ezra in Nehemiah 8:6 8. “And worshipped the lord with their faces to the ground”. Nehemiah 8:6 This is what the Muslims called, sujud (prostration) which follows immediately after bowing the head (Ruku’u) as did by Ezra and the people. See illustration below. Muslims worshipped the lord God with their faces to the ground as did by all the fore mentioned prophets (see the beginning of this chapter). Another significant point alluded in the passage is that; Ezra and his people had performed this prayer on the holy day. After the congregational prayer, Ezra said to the people, “Go your way, eat from the fat and drink from the sweet; for this day is holy to our lord”. Nehemiah 8:10,11 Muslims holy day of the week is FRIDAY which is the compatible day that Muslims observe their congregational prayers as exactly practiced by prophet Ezra and his people. Most Christians sees the Muslims prayer as a spiritual dance or an unnecessary movement of the body; not knowing that, the Muslims prayer finds its origin from the Bible. For this reason, we are not amazed; Allah the exalted has said in the Qur’an. “Muhammad is the messenger of God; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating (in prayer), seeking bounty from God and (His) pleasure. Their mark (i.e., sign) is on their faces (i.e. foreheads) from the trace of prostration. That is their example in the Torah (Taurat). And their description in the gospel (Injeel) is as a plant which produces its offshoot and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that He (Allah) may enrage them the believers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward”. Qur’an 48: 29. The veracity of this passage can be analyzed from the gospels; the above verse stipulates that, the Muslims prayer was epitomized in the Torah and the gospel. In attestation to this, Jesus (Peace be upon him) also prayed with his face to the ground as exactly practiced by the Muslims. Read the forthcoming epithets: “And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face and prayed saying…… Mathew 26:39 “And he (Jesus) went a little, and fell on the ground. And prayed that…… Mark 14:35 So, if you are a Christian, please, Judge in Yourself whether you pray in your Churches as the fore mentioned Prophets did prayed; if you pray as this Prophets did Prayed, then you are a good Christian; What only remains for you is to move further and believe in the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) as the last messenger of God and become a full Muslim, because what he brought (ISLAM) is the continuation of the religion of all the Prophets that preceded him. According to the narration from Mark and Mathew, Jesus prayed to God with his face to the ground as Muslims often do in their Mosques. Visit the Muslims mosques and see how they pray; you will not find a slight difference as to how the fore mentioned Prophets prayed. So if you are a real follower of Jesus (Pbuh) (True Christian) then you worship God with your faces to the ground as he does. ANGELS OF GOD The Angels of God also worshipped God with their faces to the ground as Muslims often do in their Mosques. This was recorded in revelation 11: 16 which says, “And the four and twenty elders (of the angels) which sat before God fell upon their faces and worship God”. f the angels will fell upon their faces and worship God, why should you go to your Churches singing and dancing for God as a method of worship? Have you ever read of any Prophet in the Bible who gathers people teaching them how to sing and dance as a form of worship? Muslims Prayed five times daily on an arranged time from dawn to night. This was also ordered in the book of David (psalm); it says, “From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the lord is to be praised”. Psalm 113:3. So, according to the Bible, praying to God is to be done daily; (and not only the Sunday specified by most Christians), as Muslims offer obligatory prayers five times daily. PROPHET DANIEL also pray to God three times daily; the passage reads, “….he (Daniel) kneels upon his knees three times a day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he did before time”. Daniel 6:10 The above passage elucidates the kneeling position usually observed by the Muslims in their daily prayers. See illustration below. So during the time of Prophet Daniel, the number of times given for obligatory prayers is thrice; tradition tells us that, some prophets were ordered to pray once daily. During the time of our beloved prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) the limit extended to five times daily. More over, the verse that appears on the first chapter of the Qur’an is, “PRAISE BE TO ALLAH (GOD) THE LORD OF THE WORLD”. Muslims often recite this; five times daily in addition to multiple times in their supererogatory prayers (Additional prayers that one observes to earn more rewards). This is as prophet Daniel usually did in his daily prayers. SAWM (FASTING) Fasting is the third pillar of Islam. It means; abstention from eating, drinking, indecent behaviour and any sexual approach from dawn to sun set. It is the obligation of each and every individual Muslim to observe FAST in the month of Ramadan (9th Month of ISLAM). The Qur’an says, “O You who believe; FASTING is prescribed for you as was prescribed for those that came before you (i.e. the time of Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc.) That you may become Al-Muttaqin (the righteous). Qur’an 2:183 The efficacy of the above Qur’anic verse stipulates that, FASTING as was prescribed upon the Muslims; was also prescribed upon the previous prophets. The testimonies of the Bible attest to this. It says, “And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month that they proclaimed a FAST before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem. Jeremiah 36:9 Amazing, the people of Jeremiah observed their Fast in the Ninth month exactly like the Muslims observed every year; it is obvious that, the world Muslims fast in the NINTH MONTH of the ISLAMIC calendar (MONTH OF RAMADAN). Before Muslims fasts the 30 days of the ninth month, (RAMADAN), the pious fasts the first ten days of the 8th MONTH (SHA’ABAN) as supererogatory; this makes 40 days fast. The testimony of the gospel intuited that, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) had performed exactly like the Muslims; the passage reads, “And when he (Jesus) has fasted forty days and forty nights afterward, he was an hungered”. The number of days which Jesus fasted is exactly as the Muslims did once every year. Jesus Christ satiates the relevance of fasting when he says, “Blessed are those who hungered and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled”. Mathew 5: 6 “When you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting”. Mathew 6:6, The above passage elucidates what Islam called, “RIYA’I” (Doing good works in order to seek appreciation from others; not God). It is one of the greatest sins in God’s sight. ZAKAAT (CHARITY OR ALMS) Zakaat is the charity or alms ordered by God to be given to the poor, needy, etc. on an annual prescription. It is not the scope of this book to analyze how or who is Zakaat supposed to be given to. Qur’an says, “Establish the prayer and give Zakaat (Alms) or Charity”. Qur’an 2:48 Jesus Christ (Pbuh) reveres the obligation of alms giving when he says, “Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them, for then you have no reward from your father in heaven. But when you give Alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”. Mathew 6:1-3 Similar instruction was given by our beloved prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). He says in a Hadith that, “He is among those who will receive God mercy on the Day of Judgment, he who when giving alms, his left hand does not know what his right hand is giving. The fore going biblical references will sufficed one that ISLAM is the continuation of the religion of all the Prophets; including Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him).

Then why did Jesus Christ says "He was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel" (Matthew 15:24) ?
