“Elder wey mumu, your papa!!!” – Rudeboy blasts Joe Igbokwe over comment on Psquare’s recent fallout. Highly-rated music star, Rudeboy lambasts Joe Igbokwe for speaking on Psquare’s recent rift. Igbokwe had lamented the twins’ inability to reconcile and manage conflicts. Rudeboy in response accused Igbokwe of contributing to Nigeria’s problems and urged him to focus on pressing issues like hunger. He further referred to Igbokwe as a “foolish elder”. Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, sharply responded to politician Joe Igbokwe’s criticism regarding his recent fallout with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. Joe Igbokwe had expressed his disappointment on social media, lamenting the inability of the music duo, Psquare to reconcile their differences and work together. Igbokwe’s post highlighted a series of perceived failures, including their inability to trust, love, and reason together, as well as their challenges in managing their success, emotions, and familial relationships. He criticized the twins for what he described as “success without brains” and “education without character,” suggesting that their situation is a shameful example for others. In his words: “So shameful that two twin brothers Paul and Peter cannot work together, cannot love one another, they cannot trust each other, they cannot think together, they cannot reason together, they cannot forgive each other, they cannot manage their wives, they cannot manage their success story, they cannot control their emotions, they cannot manage their internal contradictions, even their wives could not help matters, what about their parents, their brothers and sisters, their Nnaochie? etc. This is shame. It pains me to no end. Now, are there no elders in the family? This is Success without brains. Education without character. Make shame catch us small na. When Gold rust what will Iron do? Ndi ara akwu eke. Awon werey.”https://www.facebook.com/share/p/W53ywRMaFGXWcnVM/?mibextid=oFDknk Rudeboy’s retort was blunt and scathing. He accused Igbokwe of contributing to the Nigeria’s problems, urging him to address more pressing issues like hunger. Rudeboy’s response emphasized his frustration with Igbokwe’s interference in his personal life. He fired jabs at Joe Igbokwe’s father and further tagged him a foolish elder. He wrote on his Instastories: “JOE IGBOKWE, your papa !!! Elder wey mumu Focus on the country wey you put mouth scatter !! People are hungry !!” https://www.withinnigeria.com/entertainment/2024/08/05/elder-wey-mumu-your-papa-rudeboy-blasts-joe-igbokwe-over-comment-on-psquares-recent-fallout/?amp=1

NDLEA Intercepts Multiple Drug Consignments Concealed In Cerelac Baby Food Tins, Clothes Bound For US, UK. According to NDLEA, no fewer than 36 parcels of a potent strain of cannabis, hidden in six cartons of tins of branded Nestle Cerelac baby food with six containers in each package, were recovered at the SAHCOL export shed at Lagos airport on Wednesday. The psychotropic substance has a total weight of 18.50 kilograms. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reported that its operatives intercepted several shipments of illicit drugs hidden in tins of Cerelac baby food and clothing destined for the United States and the United Kingdom. These seizures occurred at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and a courier firm in Lagos. This information was disclosed on Sunday in a statement by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy. Babafemi stated that a freight agent, Salaudeen Suliat Abiola, who presented the consignment for export to the UK, was promptly arrested. A follow-up operation in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday led to the arrest of the sender of the cargo, Bello Motunrayo Folu. He explained that the Cerelac tins were factory-sealed at the top while the bottoms were tampered with to conceal the drugs, which were covered with loose quantities of infant cereal to avoid detection. Additionally, NDLEA operatives intercepted five different shipments of opioids and other psychoactive substances, including promethazine, pentazocine, diazepam, tramadol, and morphine, concealed in clothes and other items meant for export to the US and UK. These were also intercepted in Lagos. https://www.tori.ng/amp/277769/ndlea-intercepts-multiple-drug-consignments-concea.html

Little protester writes Tinubu to pay her school fees. As the protest entered day two, a girl of about twelve/thirteen year old has joined the rally at Ojota, Lagos State, begging President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to assist in paying her school fees. Holding a placard in her hands, the little protester was shouting “President Tinubu, my father cannot pay my school fees, please help me. Just like the inscription on her placard, the little girl’s look was not encouraging. Recall that Nigerians especially those in Kano, Yobe, Borno, Katsina, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Akwa-Ibom, and other states stormed the streets of their various states to protest against hunger, hardship, economic meltdown and bad governance.
