My question is, after the goods finally arrive in Nigerian port, does one need special documentation to be able to clear the goods or one would locate the office of the shipping agent to get the goods??

The shipping agent you would make use of, would send down your goods to their office in Lagos and it would be waybill down to wherever you are. But if you are in lagos, you can go down to their office to get it
