Getting physical can ramp up the pleasure for you and your partner. Any activity that gets your heart beating faster and you breathing harder, from brisk walking to cycling, can boost blood flow —for both genders: stronger erections for men, and greater arousal for women. Swimming Male and female swimmers in their 60s have sex lives similar to people 20 years younger. Swimming builds endurance, boosts blood flow, improves flexibility and strength, and slashes stress. It also burns some serious calories, a plus for anyone who’s overweight, especially obese men with erectile dysfunction. Core and Abs Work A strong, flexible core underpins most everything you do. That includes performing between the sheets. You may be one of the lucky people who can have an orgasm while exercising— sometimes called a “coregasm.” It tends to happen during core-strengthening workouts like crunches. Frog Pose This move will make you more flexible during lovemaking. It’s an intense hip opener that stretches your inner thighs, groin, and hips. It also releases stress, which can be a real buzz-kill in bed. Hinge To help hold yourself in a “favourable position” without your back or legs giving out, the Hinge is perfect. Lean back at a 45-degree angle for a few seconds before returning upright, and repeat. The move is subtle but creates a lot of staying power. Kegels Developed to treat urinary incontinence, these strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, and that means explosive orgasms. Women may be more familiar with Kegels, but they also help men prevent premature ejaculation. But studies show half of people don’t do them correctly. Plank This is a perfect way to strengthen the deepest layer of your ab muscles (transversus abdominis), along with your upper arms, thighs, and buttocks. These muscles help stabilize you so you can stay close to your partner when and where it counts most. Do it once a day, and build up to 60 seconds or longer. If it’s too challenging on your toes, try balancing on your knees instead. Cat/Cow Stretch Think of this yoga pose as another form of pre-intimacy. It limbers your spine, helps get you into an even breathing rhythm, and improves focus—so your mind stays in the moment. Move with a steady flow, so that each rounding up (the cow part) takes a full breath out and each arching downward (the cat part) takes a full breath in. Pelvic Thrust Whether your favourite position is missionary or cowgirl, this move is a key part of it. But powerful pushes can be exhausting when you’re out of shape. Work your glutes, calves, and hamstrings to build stamina and flexibility. Pelvic thrusts also sculpt your booty, so you feel goodandlook good.

By Emeka Anaeto, Economy Editor LAGOS — Amidst a three-day straight slide in the exchange rate of Naira against US Dollar, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said that it would not bow to pressures to further devalue the local currency. Yesterday, the parallel market segment of the foreign exchange market traded one US dollar to N245 after it opened the day at N242/USD1.00. The exchange rate on Tuesday was N240 and N238 on Monday. Dealers in the parallel markets expressed fears that at the on-going speed of s lide the exchange rate might hit the N250/USD1.00 low by next week. But reacting to the development, CBN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Mr Ibrahim Muazu, toldVanguardthat there was no need for panic at the development, adding that it could be just a temporal reaction to the policy change. While defending the recent foreign exchange measures taken by the apex bank to shore up the dwindling foreign reserves, Muazu said the apex bank would not be pressured into further devaluation of the local currency which he said was the intent of some sections of the foreign communities. He stated the parallel market cannot trigger any economic crisis since all major foreign exchange demands for eligible imports go through the official exchange market which has not only remained stable but has been fully supplied by the apex bank so far. Bureau de Change (BDC) operators said huge demand for foreign exchange began to inundate them as well as the black market as a result of the CBN’s shut off of 41 items from the official market three weeks ago. But Muazu denied this assertion, stating that CBN’s findings was that the supply/demand gap being experienced in the parallel market was as a result of supply shortages in that segment following the plugging of loopholes from the official markets that had hitherto leaked into parallel market through round tripping. He also said other economic crimes such as money laundering were major drivers of what is happening in the parallel market today. President of BDC Operators of Nigeria, Aminu Gwadabe, had given reasons for the steady decline in value of Naira in the parallel market to include “over regulation of the bureau de change and financial markets, increased naira liquidity chasing fewer dollars, intensified hoarding and speculative activities, inability of banks to meet legible and legitimate demands and tightening policies of CBN.” However,Vanguardinteractions with some of the parallel market dealers, yesterday, indicated that most of them have been driven by speculations that the country was cash strapped in foreign currency, hence they are hiking the exchange rate on fears of long term real scarcity. On the other hand, some speculators are taking positions against possible devaluation in the face of continued pressure on the apex bank from both within and outside the country.

By Ogo-Oluwa Adelakun, with agency report Embattled US comedian Bill Cosby admitted having drugged at least one woman with Quaaludes to have sex with her, in court documents unsealed Monday. Cosby, accused of sexual assault by some 30 women over decades but who has so far escaped justice, made the admission in a deposition in 2005, talking about an incident from 1976. The 77-year-old was questioned by Dolores Troiani, a lawyer for Andrea Constand, a former women’s basketball director at Philadelphia’s Temple University where Cosby studied and was a member of the board of trustees. Constand took her rape case to court, but the case was dropped. Cosby’s lawyers had long sought to block publication of the court transcripts, but they were released Monday on the PACER public court records website. In one exchange between Cosby and Troiani, the comic admitted having obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes, a powerful sedative drug. “You gave them to other people?” asked the attorney. “Yes,” replied Cosby. Troiani then asked him: “When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?” “Yes,” replied Cosby, although a short time later he said he had misunderstood the question, and was referring only to one woman. “I misunderstood. Woman, meaning T….., and not women,” he said. Later in the deposition, Cosby said: “I meet Ms (T, whose name was redacted to preserve her anonymity) in Las Vegas. She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex.” The entertainer resigned from the board of Temple University last December, as sexual abuse accusations against him multiplied. Cosby is famous for his role in “The Cosby Show,” a popular family sitcom that aired in the 1980s and 1990s. |
By Luka Binniyat KADUNA – Hon. Danladi Angulu Kwasu, a retired Wing Commander, with the Nigeria Air Force, at a Press Conference in Kaduna yesterday accused the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, of deliberating pushing his 19- year -old son, Elshadai Kwasu, (NDA/10037) , into a 100 metre-deep lake, and drowning him during a training . Kwasua, now a member of Kaduna State House of Assembly, KDHA, representing Zangon Kataf State constituency, alleged that out of negligence, about 20 cadets had died in swimming exercise with the NDA doing nothing to change the situation. When contacted, the Commandant of NDA, Major General Mohammed Inua Idris, said the NDA would only state its side of the story. Kwasu said: “My son died on April 30, 2015, as a result of drowning, occasioned by gross negligence. The NDA carried them for a camping exercise (Camp Highland). In the course of the exercise, the NDA staff pushed him into the water of Kangimi dam (the outskirt of Kaduna) at the deepest part of the dam. “ He was pushed into this deep water from a platform that was very high above the water. The NDA only tied a rope loosely around his waist with somebody else standing on the platform above the water and holding unto the other end of the rope. “Before my son was pushed into the water, he expressed to his colleagues his reservations on the idea of using a rope as a safety measure since he had never swam in his life before. The NDA staff overheard him. While he was standing on the platform, the same NDA staff suddenly pushed him off the platform into the water. “In the process of pushing him, the loose rope round his waist was further loosened.” “When my son disappeared into the water, the NDA staff watched helplessly as there was no safety measure in place. None of the trainers could swim or dive to rescue my son. There was no life jacket, no lifeguard or diver that could go into the water to save the boy. The NDA running out of ideas on what to do, then called in local fishermen to use their fishhooks to search for my son inside the water”, he said. According to him, the fishermen used long fishing lines with big hooks and his son was accidentally hooked from his mouth and his corpse brought to the surface after three hours. “ I am compelled to speak out because all my efforts for the NDA to show me the video of the incidence and officially brief me on the circumstances that led to the death of my son have been to no avail. “I will not keep quiet in the face of this kind of impunity. I will take all steps at my disposal to address this impunity and incompetence as displayed by the NDA authority”. |
Mayweather the greatest athlete of our time. Keep enjoying your money jo |
The long-awaited superfight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao may not have lived up to the hype, but it was lucrative. The bout pushed both fighters to the top of Forbes' annual list of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world. Forbes reports that those on the list earned $3.2 billion, 17 percent more than the top 100 for the 2014 measuring period. Mayweather and Pacquiao, who each fought twice over the past 12 months, earned a combined $460 million. Here's a full look at the top 10 earners, according to Forbes: The World's Highest-Paid Athletes for 2015 RankAthleteSportEarnings 1Floyd MayweatherBoxing$300 million 2Manny PacquiaoBoxing$160 million 3Cristiano RonaldoSoccer$79.6 million 4Lionel MessiSoccer$73.8 million 5Roger FedererTennis$67 million 6LeBron JamesBasketball$64.8 million 7Kevin DurantBasketball$54.1 million 8Phil MickelsonGolf$50.8 million 9Tiger WoodsGolf$50.6 million 10Kobe BryantBasketball$49.5 million Forbes It's important to note that these totals combine salaries with endorsements. Alex Myers of Golf Digest pointed out that this was the first time in Woods' pro career that he was not the highest-paid golfer on the planet. Boxing may struggle to create the high-profile battles of yesteryear, but these numbers showcase how much money the sport can still generate. Even Pacquiao, who earned slightly more than half of Mayweather's total, earned more than the combined total of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Ryan Mac of Forbes notes Mayweather obliterated the previous one-year record: Floyd Mayweather made $300 mil in last 12 months, crushing previous record held by Tiger Woods of $115 mil (2008) http:///4TVsAS9zun — Ryan Mac (@RMac18) June 10, 2015 Notably, half of the top 10 features individual athletes from boxing, golf and tennis. The NBA and European soccer, specifically Spain's La Liga, hold the other positions. There are no players from the NFL, MLB or NHL in the elite group. Mayweather has one more fight under his current deal with Showtime. His future beyond that is unclear at this stage, so he may not be able to come anywhere close to that mind-boggling total for next year's rankings. But even one bout would put him at or near the top, depending on the opponent. Pacquiao is also in the latter portion of his storied career. The question moving forward is whether new stars will emerge to fill the void atop the earnings list or if those numbers for boxing will become a thing of the past. For now, boxing is king, at least in terms of the purses it can create for its biggest names. |

Star actress, Funke Akindele rode a bicycle to church on Sunday due to the fuel crisis in the country. This is according to her post on the social media. Nigeria has been brought to a virtual standstill by fuel shortages, caused by a row between the outgoing government and importers, as well as strikes by petrol tanker drivers and oil and gas workers. Despite being Africa’s biggest oil producer, petroleum products have to be imported to Nigeria because of a lack of functioning domestic refineries. The government keeps the price at the pumps below the market rate for consumers and pays the difference to importers and marketers. But they say they are owed $2 billion in arrears and have shut fuel depots until the balance is paid. The government maintains the money has been paid and the importers are holding the country to ransom by demanding losses from the slump in the naira currency caused by the global drop in oil prices.

Because I Was Told I Can by Jan Graham About 6 months ago, I joined a gym. Every morning, there is one personal trainer there that works out at the same time that my little group does our workout. He does his "routine" with such a quiet determination that he makes it all look very easy; although I know all too well how hard he is working. When I am tempted to whine and quit, I watch him push himself to his own limits, and I find myself motivated to work as hard and without complaint. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching him do chin ups. He made them look effortless. I broke away from my group and asked him if I could try a chin up. I had never tried before, but he just made it look so easy. He eagerly stepped aside and encouraged me to step up to the bar. I pulled myself up without thinking...once...then twice. That was all I had in me, I had no strength left. I told him that was all I had, so he stepped up behind me and pushed me up for a third and fourth "pull." It felt so good. I felt strong and I smiled from ear to ear. The next day when I was done my workout, I asked him to spot me again. Again, I did two. Again on day three and so on. I thought it was pathetic that I could only do two, but when I came to the gym at the end of the week, he was standing there just shaking his head. When I asked him what was up, he said he was impressed with my chin ups. He told me that when they are training firefighters, the men are required to do 5 chin ups, and women are required to do 1 or 2. He explained that most people can't do them at all, and that he was impressed that I could. He further told me that if I practiced every day, I would be doing 5 or 6 in no time. At this point I should probably add that I am 50 years old...and female. The moral of this story...because I didn't know any better, because he told me I could, I saw no reason to doubt. I just jumped in and gave it a try - and I did it! I didn't see it as a great accomplishment, because I didn't realize that it was difficult and it became my goal to get stronger. No one told me I couldn't do it, in fact, I was encouraged to try. Had he told me initially how difficult it was, I more than likely would not have tried at all. Or I might have tried, but given it only half an effort, because failure would have been the expectation. I applaud him for letting me believe that for me, it was not only a possibility, but that success was a realistic expectation. How many times have we decided not to try at all because we were told that we couldn't, that we shouldn't, that we had expectations that were too ambitious? How many times have we told our children, our friends and our co-workers that they couldn't do something; that their ideas were impossible or beyond reach? How many times have we told ourselves that we would fail before we even started? I started to ponder examples that I had witnessed and this came to mind...I recalled a conversation a friend of mine had with his daughter just prior to her heading off to university. He spoke to her (with good intentions) of how hard she would have to work in order to succeed. University wasn't like High School - this was the real world and now she would have to grow up. This child quit after two years. Another friend spoke to her daughter of the adventure she was embarking on and how proud she was. I remember how we laughed because the mother already had her outfit picked out for convocation day! This child just graduated with her degree in physiology. Looking back, neither daughter was more intelligent than the other. Was it the silent expectations (or lack thereof) that predicted the outcome? I have a new approach now. I have experienced first hand how good it feels to rush in so innocently. To believe that we CAN do it and go on to accomplish exactly what we set out to do, because no one told us we couldn't. I've learned how important it is to support others (and ourselves) in our endeavors and to let them know that we believe they can do it rather than telling them we think that they can't. I personally want to be like my trainer; standing there behind the people that I love, encouraging them, believing in them and being ready to catch them when they get tired. I will be the one that is there on the second and third day making sure they try again, because I know they CAN. What a powerful lesson this has been for me. I'll be doing "5" in no time at all. Because I was told I CAN. To keep the ball rolling share your inspirational stories that touch the heart on this thread.
