I just saw a video of a soldier on the bonnet of car, hanging on to the wiper of the vehicle while the car is in motion. Watching the video reminded me an ugly incident that occurred about 9yrs ago.

In 2016, i was hustling at a wood factory owned by some Chinese guys. It was a friend that took me from Ibadan to that place to work. The place is called C & G wood in Ogobia, Benue state. Some of you may know there. While using those machines to cut and saw woods, I was sustaining injuries everyday. I almost lost my sight one day when a piece of wood flew from a colleague's machine to pierce into my eyes. But thank God, it didn't do much damage.
On one fateful day, I had gone out of the yard(we call the factory yard). Myself and the Chinese men(about 6 men and 3 policemen) lived inside the yard. Of all my colleagues(Over 50 colleagues), I was the only one that had a room inside the yard. So on this day, I went out to get some food at Ogobia market which isn't far from the yard. After getting the food & trying to return back at 10pm, I couldn't get a bike. I had to jump on a tipper filled to the brim with sharp sand. The driver didn't even know that someone was hanging on his tipper. When we got to where I was supposed to drop, I began to call, driver! driver!! driver!!!, but he couldn't hear me. He was on speed since the road was a newly constructed one, no potholes and no hold up of any kind. I kept shouting, no way. He had drove past the yard already. Now my hands were already weak as I hanged on that tipper. The sand Inside the tipper were entering my eyes. I tried to jump inside, but I couldn't. Since the sand was full, I could couldn't jump in. My hands became totally weak and I began to cry cos I was already seeing death. I looked around to see if any of the road users would call the attention of the tipper driver to my Plight, but nobody was coming cos it was late. The place is a village. I had no other option than to jump off the tipper. Immediately I jump off, I became unconscious, I didn't know where I was, I began to bleed. No help was coming. I managed to roll away from the main road so I don't get crushed. I was bleeding from my nose, mouth, head. Injuries everywhere. The coal tar destroyed my body too. Luckily, someone was riding a bike and saw me, he rushed me to the clinic. There was no hospital in that village. I got treated and left the next morning. Till date, the scars are still on my body but in all of these, I still thank God.

I pray nothing happened to that soldier guy hanging on the bonnet and holding the car's wiper?

Riding in an aeroplane is not an achievement, and unless you're booking luxury class, there is nothing spectacular about the cabin decor either.
There is a saying that, "Those who have Caps complain of no Head while those with Head are missing Cap!"
I remember while growing up and riding in my Dad's Car - the doors always in child-lock mode, windows wind-up while strapped at the backsit like a bag of potatoes - we' ll pass all these "Molue" Buses with passengers hanging outta the door like commandos! I always feel left out of the excitement. Not until much later did I realize there was no fun in the experience!
If it's the excitement you crave, ride in a Cable car or Glass Elevator.
If it's the bragging right, convert that energy to hustle and grow. Only then will traveling by air look like changing clothes to you!

Please show me the way. Give me what to do to earn

There is no big deal about it, I was about 35, when I took my first flight, since I have taken many flights, both national and international.

I have flown, economy,business class and first class.

The longest flight I took was from UAE to loss Angeles, 17 hours , in a double decker Emirate Airbus plane, you will think it will be uncomfortable, but it wasn't..There was also food, alcoholic and none alcoholic drinks to go with it.

My point is you have more than enough time to fly and be flown, who knows, 10 years from now , you may even own your own plane.

At 26, I was rounding up my NYSC with no picture of where my life will lead.

It's been an interesting journey, with many twist and turns along the way, like you I am looking ahead to many years where I hope , I will be able to knock off more items from my bucket list.

Never knew they serve Alcoholic beverages on Air

I'm ashamed, I'm afraid, I haven't been to the airport or traveled by air since I was born. I only see airports in my dreams and in the movies. I understand that traveling by air or visiting the airport is no achievement, but it's something at least. I'm already 28yrs of age. This doesn't sit well with me at all.
I always feel left out whenever people, especially my agemates, are gisting about Airports and traveling by flight. Life hasn't been easy on right from the day I was Born till date. As if I came to the world to suffer and die in penury.
I really wish someone can just take me to the airport so I explore and get some fresh air. I believe this will go a long way in changing and boosting my perception about life. I'm making this request from the depths of my heart, I hope someone brings this dream to reality for me.
