PoliticsRe: Malaysia To Phase Out Cng-powered Vehicles Over Safety Concerns by Asianplug: 11:44am On Nov 07, 2024
Nigeria just started promoting the use of CNG as a way forward while Malaysia is already phasing them out. Truly, this life no balance at all😁

Meanwhile, below is a recent video of Owerri compared to a South East Asian city and it shows that we would have been on same level with them (if not brtter) with visionary government.

Owerri is actually underated because this city is indeed beautiful. If only the state government will cover the gutters and ensure there are sidewalks as pointed out in the video, this city would definitely attract tourists.

I absolutely agree with you about traveling to see and experience the world. That’s exactly my worldview too because I’m a travel vlogger on Youtube. However, traveling is very expensive. You definitely need to be economically stable to do that. We know that majority of Nigerians keen on Japa are doing so for survival and that’s the ones I’m refering to.

pansophist:
I will like to go to Iran. I will also like to go to North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Antarctica.

If your only reason for travelling is for survival, then you have denied yourself the beauty of this world. Iran is the home of the Persian empire.

The Persians were the first to construct routes of communication between three continents (Africa, Asia and Europe). They also built many new roads and developed the world's first postal service.

Their history is very rich, and the most brilliant mathematician I know of was a Persian girl, my ex class mate. Her name is Parisa. She showed me the beauty of Persian hospitality, gave me tea when I visit, and a well-rounded awesome human being.

I have tried Iranian foods, and they are awesome. The average Iranians are well-educated, and for such country to still threaten Israel even after decades of heavy sanctions and US backing of Israel goes to show how strong and resilient their civilisation is.

You should also be asking yourself why just one country have a problem with everyone, and is sanctioning everyone. Think for yourself man. Only the US sanctioned China, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Zimbabwe, and so many more countries.

But somehow the problem is not the US?

If you like, allow your biases to prevent you from enjoying the beauty of this world, or to see every places through the angle of hustling. You will miss alot.

You do sound biased! You showed Indian train, and to be sincere, that long one with open doors reminded me of molue in Lagos, but what you failed to show is how efficiently they run or don't, and how many people they move a day, and you disregarded how clean the stations are, and we just about noticed the fan above your head that made it seem you were waiting in the first class section of the station though I bet you weren't.

Basically, I am accusing you of not sufficiently educating me about the railway system in India, and you haven't posted anything about railway in Nigeria so I can compare.

I'm not going to hold it against you though, because its not like you had a huge production budget, and I know you will one day grow this into something to be admired.

Personally, and as far as railways go, Nigeria hasn't yet begun to get where India currently is.

TravelNigeria Vs. India; Which Country Has Better Trains? by Asianplug(op):
I used to see how proud Indians in Nigeria behaved. They generally acted like they’re above the locals. Nigerians, especially women loved their Zeeworld. Add to the fact they also owned lots of companies in Nigeria and treated their workers badly. All helped them to sustain their haughty behavior towards ordinary Nigerians.

When I landed in India, the airport was good. However on getting towards my hotel, I began to sense that all was not well. I could literally feel I was being driven into Mushin type of neighborhood. Immediately I alighted from the uber, beggars thronged around me. Women carrying babies and yelling “Baba help me” “Baba help me”. This couldn’t be the sane India whose people behaved like lords in my country.

I was in New Delhi, the capital of India. Their own Abuja! Then it hit me that this country is perhaps no better than Nigeria. So, I decided to go on a tour of their railways, boarding both their modern and old trains, then again I wondered if it were any better than what we have in Nigeria.

Only Iran make sense for all these countries.

As for Barbados, you need a transit visa to go there, and embassy will most likely not give it unless the Nigerian is flying from the west.

At least eleven are ecowas countries.

Many are microstates that Oshodi is bigger than in population.
Even Iran doesn’t make sense, it has become a shithole due to many years of sanctions. Why would anyone want to go to Iran?
TravelRe: Over 40 Countries You Can Travel To Without Nigerian Visa by Asianplug: 2:33am On Oct 07, 2024
Firstly, Cambodia no longer allows Nigerians, talk more of being visa free.
You listed so many ECOWAS countries like Ghana, Senegal etc. of course, they’re in one community just like EU, so no visa required.

The rest of the countries are mostly at war or tiny islands. They’re not viable and very expensive to visit as tourists. For instance, Maldives or Fiji may be visa free but you will end up spending fortunes on flight tickets. You may also require transit visa in some of the countries your flight will stop over at.

The truth is that our passport will remain very weak as long as our economy is in shambles. No reasonable country will give us free entry because we will flood there the next day.

What makes a passport very strong is basically when your economy is good, your citizens have no interest in traveling out, and when they do, it’s just for tourism and they return without overstaying. Once your country has a high percentage of overstaying their visa like Nigerians, the passport will become trash.

Whats the difference between SE Asian shytholes like Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, and Laos and African countries like CAR, Swaziland, Congo, Niger, Togo, and Somalia?
Significant differences my brother. With the exception of perhaps Myanmar, the others doing a lot better in having more livable villages, towns and cities.

Even India that is globally infamous for being dirty and disorganized, doesn’t look as dusty as African towns and villages. The main issue is that we in SSA don’t see any problem in having dusty looking villages and towns. It’s not like we can’t afford to change it if we really want. My prayer is for Africa to get better so that Blacks rating will improve too.
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Asianplug: 1:41pm On Oct 06, 2024
The bickering here between Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana etc about which country is best, isn’t helpful. The painful truth is that Africa is seriously lagging behind the rest of the world.

In the past, Europe was the top dog, before North America joined them. Some Latin American countries like Argentina also became successful and Australia completed the exclusive list.

Asia and Africa were dirt-poor but today, Asia is advancing rapidly and building modern infrastructure that puts both America and Europe to shame. I have traversed several Asian countries, covering their tourist destinations in my YouTube channel and it pains me that Africa could do better yet we are so behind.

You can’t find open gutters in Asian villages talk more of their cities, but open gutters are common all over African cities. Majority of pictures that comes from Africa are always showing dusty villages and towns. But in Asia, you won’t see red earth, it’s either covered with tiles or lawns.

You have can have a glimpse of how advanced South East Asia has become. A region that used to drag last with Africa. It’s really sad.

You simply need to buy a new ticket. No amount of emotionalism and begging will make airlines drop their standards. If you miss your flight, you miss it.
That’s the unfortunate situation, most Nigerian travelers find themselves. She should simply buy a new ticket and move on, but if she believes she has a strong case against them and have the resources to challenge them, then let her sue them. Otherwise, no amount of sob stories would help her at that moment, people will only look at her and continue with their activities. It’s embarrassing.

The Indian consulate wanted to discriminate and rip me off in the past, but I realized I had a strong case against them and threatened to sue them, they later apologized to me and took responsibility of the situation without charging me any dime.

You are NOT well informed about this subject matter you are talking about.

They have the profiles of Nigerians who have relentlessly committed crimes in their data bases as can be seen in the FIRST video right BELOW based on specific recurring patterns. They know about the frequency of crimes in percentages specific ethnicities or demographics have committed in some of those Asian countries even though these criminals use Nigerian passports. I have a background for years in criminal investigations and intelligence gathering, so, I know this to be a FACT. Do NOT be fooled by the so-called green passport cover these criminals hide under. Those Asian investigators (in Thailand, China, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc, and those in other countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Brazil, etc) are NOT stupid. They look at all the variables such as demographics and more when it comes to crime detection and realized that more than 95 percent right up to 100 percent of the drug trafficking gangs and dealers, sex trafficking offenders, and 419 scammers in their countries who are from Nigeria are of the Igbo ethnic group. Period.

Channels Television • Apr 27 2012

Reports from China as of 2012 indicate that no fewer than 1,000 Nigerians are in Chinese prisons. 90 percent are convicted for drug trafficking.
I have seen the first video and it’s shameful. The second video didn’t relate to tribe and neither does the third one. We all know that certain Nigerian tribes dominate crimes in Asia while another tribe dominate in Middle East, but the point is to see this as a national malaise and not trying to make it another round of ethnic profiling.

Believe me, no section of Nigeria is a saint in this issue, not even North. The case of Abdulmutalab trying to bomb an airline also tarnished our image.

Nigerians at home really need to lessen the pressure on our youths. I have seen youths overstaying in Asia because their people told them not to return no matter what. That Nigeria is hell and they should never come back. They feel that abroad is like Nigeria where foreigners can live freely and work without papers. Some of them end up in prisons others remain fugitives, living miserably.

It’s really sad.

I think it’s like that in most places except perhaps Nigeria or Africa. In Asia, it’s same, people display their national flags everywhere during independence celebrations.

I don’t blame Nigerians for not being proud of the country, politicians really damaged the brand.

It depends on how you are profiled and what country you are visiting. Some Asian countries carry out country-specific profiling based of off specific ethnicities as well because they have relentlessly got criminals in their data base from such ethnic group trooping into their country with hard drugs.

I'm also aware that Botswana was carrying out this ethnic profiling of Nigerians almost 10 years ago now when they noticed that hard drugs cartels were coming into Botswana from a specific ethnic group in Nigeria.
I don’t get it, you mean ethnicities or nationalities? If you mean the former, that’s not possible. We are talking about countries that are very far from Nigeria. They don’t understand our diversities. These people only have memos passed down to them to profile citizens of Nigeria based on the activities of their nationals. They can’t differentiate who is Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. Does it even make sense?

Can you or any random staff at our international airports be able to identify the different ethnicities of say Chinese nationals or Vietnamese nationals by merely looking at the name on their passports?

I hope you get my point.
