Because they run it as different company but belongs to the same group. What if one was later acquired by the group and decides to retain its name.....Like Nokia and Microsoft.

Even in Nigeria, we have situations like that.............. Minimie Noodles and Indomie Noodles are produced by same company.............You don't believe that also?

I paid on aliexpress with my debit card. but I believe there suppose to be escrow charge of 5%.
Though I didn't open alipay....I paid on aliexpress direct with my card....Is paying with my card and not alipay not escrow? or the charge of 5% is no more?
even after paying direct with debit card, the systems knows I haven't opened alipay.

I believe am still covered with buyer protection whether paying with debit card or actually paying with alipay.

Pls gurus in house, am new on this import stuff and I have purchased from aliexpress but the issue with 1688 and taobao is that chrome browser for android can't translate to English. Though I have been reading on/off this importation thread since January.......I am a working class BT I want this as part-time biz, for other income avenue and because of my work schedule, ithas got to be a p/t.
