NYSC is necessary because many villages lack doctors, nurses and teachers and other essential staff. Either we do nysc or there will be more illiterate people in your state rural area and overcrowded cities because people now have to migrate to the city to get an education and because indigenous people of many states want to work in the city.

Also, people die when travelling for vacation, business , official duty , etc. if we take your logic to the end ,no one will leave house because they could die
