As one who used to to listen to music in 24bit FLAC and and MQA formats (studio masters but they're meh or I need a thousand dollar headphone and DAC to feel something ), I know what you mean, especially after listening and comparing Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park and Random Access Memory by Daft Punk (320kb MP3 and 24bit FLAC).

Had you needed them sites and telegram group for them earlier this year, you'd have gotten them free but now their owners put most of the good music behind paywalls.

Some sites you can get them files if you google the album or song but sometimes they're 16bit FLAC files.

If you're going for quality headphones or earbuds...

Ensure you have good quality music files to listen to.

It's not always about the sound quality of your headphones.

On this note... Who knows where I can download FLAC or WAV files of my favourite songs.?

wav files are difficult to get what type of music do you listen to. You can also convert YouTube videos to wav files through an online converter

Currently using Samsung galaxy buds live wireless earpiece for my Samsung phone. They are best in terms of quality and affordability and the sound is out of this world.

saw a lot of positive reviews on that including the ANC

You are truly an audiophile. I'm looking at the EDIFIER NB2 TWS with active noise canceling. Though I know earbuds noise canceling features cannot be compared to that of the headsets. Bose quiet comfort is on a class of its own. Wanted to buy the Sony WF-1000XM3 earbud (dunno why Sony likes all these complex naming pattern) but was turned off by the lack of waterproof and the bulky design.

Currently using Tronsmart Spunky Beat earbuds. Earbuds is nice, just lacks ANC and the touch control is as erratic as ever - it is downright out of control. But the sound production is pretty cool , bass is super cool with AptX and the cost is still under $40

My current everyday carry is the tronsmart onyx neo and I agree with you that touch control is not the best. Even when I want to adjust the buds mistakenly press pause

Hope to cop the Anker Soundcore life Q30 soon. Heard it's pretty good budget headphones.

all the once available in Nigeria are not bass heavy.. But if you can buy the tranya t3 or the enacfire e90 you will enjoy the sound quality

Don't be too excited. It only blocks only steady sounds like extractor fans.. White noise, air plane noise, and similar.

Human voice can still penetrate if you pay attention.

It is just a perfect headset for normal use. Especially when you feel like isolating yourself from your environment.

haven't tried it out yet.. I know the ANC will be great..
