@falope

You look at the land mass while the uk government looks at the population that they can manage without putting too much pressure on their infrastructures. The population of UK is around 60 million. US is about six times UK"s population. Of course uk is not over populated. Only London is. We are more than 160 million in Nigeria. A country of more or less the land mass of the same UK. So it's not about land mass

Nigerians landmass at 923,768 km² is about 4 times that of the UK at 243,610 km. The UK is a small island. Their landmass is nowhere near ours. Landmass to population ratio makes the UK more populated than Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Sponsors A Blind Man's Surgery & He Regains His Sight (Pics) by Autophys1: 5:07pm On Oct 21, 2016
We should not be celebrating a governor sponsoring eye surgery for 1 man. Eye surgery should be acessible and affordable to indigenes of Imo state at their general hospitals. This is mediocre at its best.

EducationRe: Sponsored Jigawa Medical Students In China (Photos) by Autophys1: 2:25pm On Oct 18, 2016
It is sad to see this type of news. I wonder how much would have been spent by the government in buying their ticket, paying their fees and maintaining them abroad yearly for the next 6years.
These funds could have been used to build and equip a state of the art Jigawa state teaching hospital with a functioning college of medicine which can train students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, medical laboratory science, physiotherapy, radiography and nursing. Imagine the number of students in each profession to be trained. Imagine the number of Nigerians to be employed in such an institution. The possibilities are endless.
The government can privatise it under a public/private partnership. We need to wean ourselves off the 'abroad mentality' and bring that quality that we crave to our country.

@yinksob002
Hello guys, i intend renewing my SA visa to attend my grad ceremony and would like to clarify:
1) If i can still use the same yellow card I have been using since Nov 2013. The last time i used it to apply was for study in 2014 and the visa recently expired.
2) The process for accessing forex for intending travellers via travelex at the airport.
3) Can savings account be used in isolation or it has to be current acct.

2) You need your passport, valid visa, boarding pass and BVN CARD.

@mizbee Good evening to everyone. Please, were is better to change Naira to Dollars for my travelling? Is it with the aboki's or at the airport? Please.

You can change $ to naira at travellex at MMIA as someone rightly advised. It's $1 to N356. You will need your passport, visa, boarding pass & BVN CARD. Don't bother going to Travellex if you don't have your BVN CARD.
HealthRe: UITH: Misplaced Priorities And Mismanagement by Autophys1: 5:13am On Oct 07, 2016
This is so sad. You begin to wonder is it reduced funding or just pure mismanagement and embezzlement of funds meant for managing the hospital.
Unfortunately this situation is mirrored in most federal teaching hospitals in Nigeria. We need a revolution in the health care system in Nigeria.

@TripleKMama. Go wit d fone u reGistered ur BVN wit. Dey'll ask u to dial sometin & ur bvn wil pop out. I didn't use any BVN card unless it's a new dev
All d best.

@Ezemistic
Don't bother going to Travellex at MMIA if you don't have your BVN CARD. They don't accept 'the phone you registered your BVN with'.
I was there yesterday with a friend who was travelling with her passport, visa, boarding pass and 'the phone she registered her BVN with'. She could not buy $$. We spoke to the guy in charge, appealed to him, he politely told us he could not sell to her without her BVN CARD. He described all sorts of corruption that used to go on there.
Cheers

Hello mummies. I ve been following this thread as a visitor on naira land but decided to join naira land tonight to be able to post this information I found out at the airport in Lagos.
For those who want to buy PTA from travellex at MMIA in Lagos, pls get your BVN CARD from your bank and take it along with you with your passport, visa & boarding pass. New rules and surprisingly, no queue.
I will be fulfilled if this information will help at least 1 person. I ve learnt a lot from this thread. I appreciate everyone.
