i'm not too sure but i think that's characteristic of middle east and south african models. But in any case, the manual should also provide guidance on that

Toyota Motor Oil 5w20......it's recommended for the newer generation of engines. An excellent substitute for the 0W20 spec oil. For a smooth quiet engine , always insist on the Genuine Toyota Motor Oil 5w20.

There is a 2014 Prado that needs to be serviced here. No manual and no oil type indicator on the oil cover. I think this is either a Middle East or South Africa model.

Which one would you advise 5w20 or 5w30?

Since it's a 2014 model, it's most likely a 5w20 or 0w20.
