How old is she? It could be menopause. Headaches and sleeplessness (insomnia) are common and women passing through that stage of life usually feel exhausted sometimes.

The internal heat might be hot flushes experienced by women in menopause.
A hot flush is characterised by a sudden feeling of heat which seems to come from nowhere and spreads through the woman's body.

More often than not, a hot flush can leave her feeling drenched with sweat and exhausted and she can get "chills" after them because she's usually wet from sweating. Exhaustion can come often after these hot flushes but, feeling exhausted all of the time or having a fever for more than the duration of the hot flush is not (to the best of my knowledge), part of hot flushes.

And about the frequent malaria diagnosis from lab results, almost everyone in a malaria-endemic region like Nigeria will usually test positive to plasmodium because all of us have suffered from mosquito bites and malaria in the past. It now depends on the level of parasitemia (amount of plasmodium in the blood.)

From the foregoing, I would have concluded that she is experiencing menopause as most of the symptoms you listed are found in menopause but the persistent fever and the fact that you said it has been going on for 15 years brings another dimension to the case. It is rare for a woman to experience menopausal symptoms for that long unless she's among the few who experience such.

She may actually have some other problem going on within her body such as a virus or bacterial infection of some kind.
It could also be clinical depression.

She needs expert medical check-up to really get to the root cause of her condition.

Thanks for the advice. She's 55yrs now which means she became ill at the age of 39. Can menopause still be rulled out?

I think she should be sent abroad for proper checkup, d doctors here might be clueless giving wrong diagnosis. Most importantly she shud continue seekin d face of God.

Sorry about your Mum illness.
But I'm certain she didn't for months without ssleeping.she would be dead
I think she needs a break from here current environment.
If you can afford it, please send her on a long vacation ,even if it is Togo or Ghana.
It will do the magic but preferably send her to Europe. African juju no like cold.

As we speak, she has done one month without being able to close her eyes. We have thought of sending her on vacation but the money has remained the issue. We will keep looking into it. Thanks.

Please guys I need good advice on what to do.
My mum has been sick for 15years now. She has gone for and to many medical check-ups and series of test from different doctors and locations. They all diagnose the same thing "Maleria" with different kind of ++++'s.
she has prayed and fasted countless times in the past 15 years.

She has been to different different churches and spiritual houses and non has been able to help her out.

She has also been to the synagogue twice but yet no solution though she did meet Prophet TB Joshua on a one to one contact which I really wish she could.

All the spiritual houses and pastors that has prayed for/with her always come to the same conclusion that it's a spiritually inflected illness by my step mum. More than two pastor has seen the same person to be the curse of her problem. All because she was married into the family as a second wife. She currently has 7 children for my dad.

People find it hard to believe my mum is sick because she doesn't appear sick physical but inside of her is always burning with internal heart,sharp headache,fever,general body weakness, sleepless night and days. She goes for months without being able to sleep even with drugs still doesn't help her.

We are all confused and don't even know the options to take now cos lately it's gotten out of hand. My mum has never gone Through a week in the past 15 years without taking drugs.

We really need help and advice.
