Netanyahu could have declared victory in Gaza, signed a ceasefire, and everything would be in the rearview mirror.
But that would mean an immediate political reckoning about his failures so he escalated. And now more Israeli youths have to die so he can be PM for a few more months.

In 1967, they ended a war against 4 countries in 6 days.
In 2024, after softening the battlefield with airstrikes and artillery pounding for 10 months and running military drills, they're being held back by a "battered" Hezbollah!
