Tinubu will meet the constitutional spread but will not get the largest votes at first ballot because he has lost his core Northern base. The Southeast, as a region, may take the greatest hit and suffer political setback, but some Easterners will argue that they don't need the presidency to thrive. In reality, they do. Tinubu was able to get that much votes because of the support he garnered from the North, but he had since lost that hence the only pathway for him is massive reliance on Southern votes while hoping to get at least the required 25% from some northern states.
