.some toks cars are very clean,some are dirty and scrap interior and body but still run and drive...some toks I have seen resemble naija used cars with dead headlamps,faded paint,scratches,majority of car dealers usually flash body of cars after panel beater perfection.

The following actions are a waste of time,and resources due to quacks littered all across nigeria,parading themselves as competent mechanics...
Quacks are very fast to condem a healthy car.
When you ring an engine. Just know that the cars performance has been modified by a quack,and for this reason ,your cars performance is now limited to the useless steps installed by your quack mechanic. First thing you would notice would be over heating,followed by coolant mixing wahala. If you are a bit lucky,you might enjoy the car for good 3months or 6 months,depending on how soft your legs are with the gas pedal.

In most cases,it's carbon build up on top of pistons,stuck piston rings due to carbon build up,causing oil leaks where is not supposed to entertain oil, such as combustion chamber,exhaust,intake hose,injector mouth. Why cause carbon has suspended the piston rings installed from factory,torqued by factory...The moment your mechanic takes of the cylinder head,say good bye to that engine. Most oil burn issues are A DIY process,which takes not just time but days to work. Equip yourself with a borescope and see what the pistons head looks like,take off the catalyst gasket on the exhaust and check the valves. You would see carbon build up...

Carbon build up,as thick as wood,tell me why won't the engine smoke and short oil. I'm pleading with you guys,do not ring an engine,unless you see traces of metals and Co. Just get a replacement. Before getting a replacement,use a borescope. A borescope is like an advanced manual obd...there are treatments for these stuck piston rings due to carbon build up,such DIY treatments include,brake oil,gear oil,b12 chemtool,lucas,carburettor cleaner,etc,even isopropyl can be dropped inside ....using a borescope is the best option before replacement. Everything is not ring,when alin the end ,carbon will still build up in less than 6months due to fake rings. Factory has a reason,cars are meant to outlive humans. Do not ring your engine.

When you go abroad,you would learn the hard way,but if you are a DIY type ,you car would protect you. Engine smoking is due to carbon build up on the piston rings,valves. Before Vale guides get worn out,it's a long time old car driven for more than 40years. Most times,it's a stuck piston rings. Nigerian mechanics are all quacks, out of 10 mechanics both kazeem and Prof,8 out of 10 are all quacks. They are after your money not your cars sanity. What u need are borescope,obd scanner,common sense and patience. Some lil faults such as wrong or bad plugs,bad fuse,bad fuel pump casing connector pin,would cause hard starting,throwing false codes to the ecu. How can u claim its Coldstart,did u diagnose it b4 jumping to conclusion. Nope,why cause hez a kazeem and has no time for diagnosis,but has plenty time to chop u. I weep for nigeria

Driving with AC takes more fuel. Very true. On short trips,traffic stops,idle..it does a lot coupled with our adulterated gas. Since I stopped using ac,b4 my car will stall on 7litres left,I would have driven almost 22km or more..but wt AC it won't get to 12km e go off.im the type that don't rush to change parts,till the part breaks or catch fire
