A customized number plate is a registration sign, often called an automobile license plate.

License Plate Facts
● There are many reasons people may want custom license plates. They can be used to show off pride in one's country or region, promote charitable causes, or just reflect one's personality.
● Some countries will design special license plates for foreigners who work there on certain visas, such as diplomats and members of their household; the license plates may bear the letters DC (for Diplomat) or various other exceptions (L-1A, G-11). These types of plates do not indicate citizenship in relation to driving privileges; they only diminish some more paperwork needed when renewing licenses.
