font installers are risky...they may cause brick while changing some incompatible fonts (although that's not really an issue if you have CWM installed)... and the major difference between this flashing method and using font installers is that flashing fonts change the entire fonts on your device... everywhere.. but font installers doesn't change the lock screen clock font..and the font on some other parts of the device still remains the default

that's why flashing is better
