In all fairness, Tinubu treated El rufai badly. He could have intervene when the so called report from the office of the NSA under Ribadu and clear him as a minister. He was so key in making Tinubu president. He confronted his godfather Buhari about not willing to support in the primaries and during campaigns. I think it was a power tussle between him and Ribadu. Where were these people when a certain retired ARMY colonel (born 15 January 1955) was brought back from retirement at age 60 years, and made comptroller general of Nigerian CUSTOMS for 8 years (from 2015 to 2023) ?

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has rose in defence of the Sultan of Sokoto , His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, over the establishment of Sharia courts in the South-west.

The Sultan has come under fire from Christians and other groups after the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) threw its weight behind the push to establish Sharia courts in South-West states.

The NSCIA in a statement on Wednesday decried what it described as the “high spate of intolerance and disregard for the rights of Muslims, especially in the Southern part of the country.

The Sultan-led council argued that contrary to the assertion of South-West governors, Sharia courts are backed by the Nigerian Constitution.

Accordingly, many groups, Christians and traditional worshippers from the region had called out the Sultan, accusing him of trying to create religious disharmony in South west .

However, Omokri in his defence of the Sultan said Abubakar is not just a traditional ruler, but also a religious leader, who has been more responsible than anybody alive in Nigeria today, for helping to maintain peaceful religious coexistence, and ethnic harmony in the country.

He stated that the Sultan has never castigated other faiths or instigated Muslims against their neighbours?

He warned against abusing the Sultan, who he described has somebody who has regularly demonstrated fidelity to the stability of Nigeria.

This is why I support that the EFCC should be dissolved. The organisation has become a pawn in the hands of politicians. If it has to listen to political office holders and refuses to do its constitutional mandate then what basis does the EFCC have to exist?

If the law cannot bind everyone, the law should bind no one! That the president is even involved in this is a clear obstruction of justice.
The law should not be impotent when the accused is in the good books of the president. It places the president above the law!

No wonder Adams Oshiomole could say if you join APC, all your sins are forgiven. Nigeria is a lawless society under the APC.
