are u sure ur bootloader indicates "Fastboot USB" + when u typed "fasboot oem rebootRUU" ....what did u see??

hope u put the zip in platform folder and make sure its case sensitive

Impressive...atleast some1 is catching up, as for me setting up adb and fastboot didnt take me 10mins when i did mine....u can now proceed to the next step!!

sleekymicky: I'm having the same ish too. I downloaded d file. I unzipped and the ran the sdk manager bt inside d unzipped file there is no "platformtools". I even did it all over again and didnt run sdk manager. I only unzipped bt still theres no platformtools. I saw "tools" and trief to use it but wen i opened the command prompt and typed "adbdevices" it didnt recognize the commandline which means i dnt have the correct foldr path. Pls what could be the problem? Thankz

tobyblaze: I v installed SDK on my laptop but after installation I can't find platform-tools inside the package do I v to be online to install d SDK tools I downloaded from d site u give u gave abt adb.

its nt inside the sdktool app....its inside the zip

after unzip jst check the folders dnt launch anythinq

U guys should check out 4EXT recovery its much beta than clockwork jst download 4EXT control frm blackmart and flash thru it. Jst as u did using Rom Manager for clockwork.

Today has been a total disaster..first I bought HTC inspire 4g,den I had to return it Cuz it didn't hav 3g...den d lady brought droid incredible 2,had 3g but I wasn't getting any signal... lastly she gave me HTC g2 I Tuk it,but since it hasn't opened a single page...m absolutely frustrated

lol...code-eater so u fit fall for those kinda phone....firstly htc inspire 4g is a totaL floop frm htc....nd concerning ur g2 hope ur prob is nt from configuration but then if u knw hw to use fastboot on pc jst flash a recovery thru fastboot and flash anoda rom using recovery sensewich tew be precise cos u wont need to config ur fone na automatic config sofar u don port to sensewich.....
if u want anoda fone beta than g2 i'll advice u tew get htc mytouch 4g(nt slide o) or htc desire HD....but as for me am ok with ma g2 cos this sensewich showed me a new experience

jst follow the steps i posted....u wont need to unlock ur bootloader ...plus its nt possible on g2 with d htcdev method...jst follow ma steps and ur good

By now i believe u knw hw to use adb and fastboot very well if u dont, u better google it cos evrythinq am qonna say will look like magic to u so i strongly advice u to knw that stuff b4 proceding and USB DEBUGING must be ON on ur phone under devopement(i guess we all knw that) also download HTC sync on ur pc so as to install HTC devices driver on ur pc

Now to bussiness(evrythinq must be done on ur pc)

1. Rename the downloaded PC10IMG.zip to
"StockRom.zip" (if extensions are hidden,
rename it "StockRom".

2. Place the downloaded "PC10IMG.zip" file now renamed to "StockRom.zip" in
your platform-tools directory.(u will understnd wat i mean by platform-directory if u hv adb and fastboot)

3. In command prompt, type the following
command to reboot into bootloader:
Code:

> adb reboot bootloader

4. Make sure your device is recognized by
typing the following command.
Code:

> fastboot devices

5. If you device is recognized, it should return
a serial/model number.

6.Now type this code in ur command prompt again:

> fastboot oem rebootRUU

7. Your phone should now reboot into a black
screen with a gray/silver "HTC" logo on it.

8. Next we flash the "Stock Rom.zip"
type this Code and wait:

> fastboot flash zip StockRom.zip

9. In rare cases the flash stops and the user
gets a warning to repeat the flash
immediately - no panic, just run the
"fastboot flash zip StockRom.zip" (only this
command, not the rebootRUU one) again
and it will work.

Now ur phone is bricked(dont panic)
simply flash the downloaded SENSEWICH ROM via recovery(wen flashing please enable htc sense and do not de-sense so as to make ur rom look cooler)

NOW ur phone has
1. Eng-hboot
2. Eng s-off(not the factory own)
3. Unlocked bootloader
4. U can now enjoy any htc sense rom

With all this u can now upgrade to any ROM u want(more like being jailbreaked) not d yeye cyno rom or the "non dope" SLIMBEAN for amateur
users

i undetstand u bro...but if ur careful u will qet dis roms for ur g2...i bricked my fone like 10times bfor i could flash sensewich(best rom for g2)

SLIMBEAN-Its beta but hanqs alot nt actractive plus d battery life aint still like dat of sensewich
Quadrasense-is cool but d sense feature in it is jst fake...d quy only customised APEX launcher as d default launcher
MIMICRY-bat3 life is rilli bad and not attractive
D above roms might liik qood tew u but i tell u any rom without _HTC SENSE is nt complete
This is whr VIPER and SENSEWICH comes in altho viper miqht be discontunued for d G2. But its still d most tweakable rom(google it) and sensewich on the other is jst too perfect its was actually ported from HTC ONE V(imagine usinq htc one v default rom on ur g2)...enof said ....
I can help u with d easiest installation method plus hw to qet eng hboot, s-off(nt factory s-off) and unlock bootloader without goinq to htcdev.com
All u need is in a zip file u only nid to fastboot evrythinq inside ur fone ...and dats all...google hw to use fastboot and adb on pc if u dnt knw it.....then i'll continue!!

its called sensewich u can also get viper they look alike....this roms are the best for ur g2 in terms of bat3 life and evryoda thinq....far better than slimbean and cm9 cos i've used all the rom available for g2 in XDA the only prob is that its nt easy to install cos u'll nid to unlock ur bootloader,get eng s-off and port to desire z hboot....if u use desire z then u dnt hv any wahala jst download and flash with 4ext recovery cos its the best..
