There has been a spurning out of graduates (particular engineering) without relevant skills especially in the use of industry driven Software. These software knowledge are however expected to be taught in higher institutions but are been replaced with Old methods like use of drawing boards, manual methods of process calculations or just theoretical exposures. However, this is not traceable to the lack of skilled personnel in the Nigerian University but the complexities and bureaucracy linked with trying to synchronize industry requirements with existing course curriculum. This has however met with success in some Nigerian Universities who now treat them with levity as they are yet to come to terms with their relevance in the academic environment while other Higher Institutions are still light years behind. The Question here is this: Should Nigerian graduates/ undergraduates expect to get a 100% of all knowledge they require to excel in the industry from the academic environment?? The Question begs an answer!! Truth be told, there are some universities even in developed countries like UK that do not treat the use of simulation software in details. How far would we go when all we do is relax and expect to be spoon fed?? Do we get to look into our individual abilities and aspirations?? Do these create a drive towards self improvement and actualization?? Do we have access to good media that that help us make right choices as to how we may advance our career?? On the other hand, after getting through this barrier of making choices as to how we might advance our career we are faced with the decision of where we might obtain quality training. Here are some methods of accessing quality training: *Do a quick search with proposed full names on google. *Write down a list of names featured on the first three google pages. *Visit the site of each companies featured on these pages. *Access testimonials of each company trainee. *Stick with company with the most satisfactory trainee testimonial.
