You attend a private meeting of the G5 with the President, then you go on national TV to quote what the President allegedly said at the meeting.

That's immaturity. The President, infact any President, will never trust such a person again.

Accoding to Mr Fayose, the President has effectively told the Governor to his face, 'Keep your support to yourself. I don't need it in 2027. Ouch!

If you also read between the lines, it appears the President is still firmly in support of Mr Wike despite what many people write on social media. This is politics. You do what is in your best interest. Those who think the President would dump Mr Wike for Mr Fubara are naive.

By the way, for Mr Fayose to have such clear information about what transpired at the meeting, it means the people closest to the President, probably the Chief of Staff through Mr Wike leaked the information to Mr Fayose. Mr Wike and the Chief of Staff are very close.

The current Chief Judge of Rivers State with the allegation of forgery dangling over his head is an embarrassment and shamelessly corrupt. In saner climes, he would be out of office and under prosecution. The man is a politician masquerading as a judge. By his conducts, he has consistently shown that he believes the judiciary is a department of the Executive Branch. He will end up prolonging this crisis. No governance without legislative inputs and checks.

The judiciary is not yet ready to be independent and taken seriously. In as much as the Chief Judge has chosen to be subservient to the governor and has developed the habit of begging at every public function, he should not interfer with the duties of the legislature. This is the worst administration in Rivers State. Fubara is a mistake.

I have gone through the grounds of impeachment. There is no way the governor escapes any panel without being found liable. The governor and his deputy are clearly guilty of gross misconduct. They can't defend it. That is why they are evading. The Supreme Court had already indicted Fubara as a despot.

The impeachment will proceed and be heard on its merits. If the Chief Judge won't perform his function, the lawmakers will proceed and set up the panel. That is the only option. They must perform their constitutional duty. If they impeach the governor and his deputy, let them go to the Supreme Court.

Transportation companies hiked their transport fare, making traveling difficult when there's been no fuel price increment.... Obi didn't react to that nor ask his followers to boycott or call out marketers selling fuel above N800...
