If not the topic that mentioned "Oyebanji", I wouldn't have known that the person standing next to Fayose in the picture is the governor of Ekiti State. Despite my education, civility, and vast knowledge, I hardly know the present crop of Nigerian governors. Unlike back in the days (particularly the 1999 set), I could mention and recognize almost all the 36 States governors, from Donald Duke to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to Orji Uzor Kalu to Tinubu to Segun Osoba to Joshua Dariye to James Ibori to Lucky Igbinedion to Peter Odili to Rev Jolly Nyame to Ahmed Sani Yerima(the sharia Law crooner), I could go on and on. But these days, I can hardly mention or recognize them.

A country that does not take care of its young will end up regretting in its old age just like a parent who fails to take care of the children when they are small will have no one to look after him or her when they grow old.

I remember when I was in the UK, I could be broke and yet happy. Sometimes when I had no money, I'd just walk around different classes in my uni and find free food. Basically there was always some sort of event being hosted by various bodies and they would serve sandwiches and tea/coffee. And in most cases it would be remaining. I'll just help myself to quite a lot.

Have I forgotten that at the end of every day, most supermarkets used to reduce the price of their groceries that were about to expire the next day or 2 to a fraction of the original price. These things and more help you survive and then thrive in the long run.

How many places can you see opportunities in Nigeria for a young man who is not a politician's son. If you are a young Nigerian you are already 2 goals down. If u get money comot this country!

Now, one question......is it possible for a Nigerian to go to a Russian University, graduate and be unable to perform upon return to Nigeria? I am really concerned because of a recent experience I had with someone who graduated from a Russian University.

I interviewed him for a job and he just about failed every question I threw at him.

He was even arguing with me over a point I made until I went online and proved him wrong.

In the end, a colleague and friend convinced my boss and I to take him, and we put the guy on the team of the same guy that was begging on his behalf.

Fast forward a couple of months, my friend was complaining about his performance.

so because someone graduated from a Russian University it means. He's good for a job?? How come he was shortlisted in the first place??

160m as at 2013 when it was embezzled was about 1 million US dollars. That's around 1.5 billion Naira today excluding interest

Everybody dey form big man for Internet! I earn this! I earn that! But 99.4% of bank accounts in Nigeria have less than 500k in them. No be me talk am o, na NDIC! If you have the opportunity, make una commot from Nigeria. Exactly 10years ago, my wife was schooling in the UK and I was a civil servant earning about 150k oer month. I comfortably paid her flight ticket to come for holiday and intro then , it cost about 150k naira. 10 years down the line, the cheapest ticket is over 1.2m and the salary increase is not commensurate despite advancement in career. Imagine what it would be like in another 10 years, and Nigeria don't seem to be getting better.
