What did I do to escape poverty?

1- I took my studies, job & career seriously. I had a 10 year projection of where I would be and I surpassed it in 5. Till date, everyone at work knows that I don't mess around when it involves work (especially if money is involved).

2- I made it my life's mission to never marry a lazy, idle or entitled woman. Back then, if a woman strikes me as the over-dependent type, I run away. And the woman's family matter too, I taught myself to never marry into a poor family. Not that I needed my in-law's money any way, but the fact that I won't be responsible for their well being is enough. And that if the chips were down, they could raise me.

3- I built a network of influential people whom I've rendered services for and that I can always knock on their door for connection and referral. That connection is still serving me till today.

4- I tried as much as possible to stay away from womanizing, gambling, drinking, smoking and all those social vices. But that woman own no easy sha, I dey do am with sense. And I don't spend heavily.

5- I made sure to stay away from all these digital investments whatsoever. All my side hustles are the old school type. Buying & selling on the side, rendering services, consultacy, etc. But all those crypto, shares, stocks, forex, etc I no dey follow person try am.

6- My spending habit is another thing. I always live below my means. I don't buy anything to impress anybody or to do pass myself. If I can't afford it, then, I'll wait till I can.

These are just a few that I can remember. I know that to never be poor in life, one must be intentional and must have a solid plan.
