Its like Saying One player scored 10 goals over 5 games and another scored 15 over 30 games.

Totals would say B is the better striker(with 15 goals) while per 90 would say A (2 goals/90mins)

I seriously know what per 90 metric means..

Just add the 'show totals'.. That's not hard for you.. Is it??

And Y are u using only the Champions league.. Use their overall performance in all competitions.

I think your problem is failing to see that not every DM\CM plays the Busquet\Carrick\Pirlo role whose duties include dictating tempo to almost metronomic effect.

A modern DM/CM can be a deep lying playmaker (Pirlo\Busquet), a destroyer/anchorman type(makalele\song\matic), or a box to box cm(Essien\Vidal\Ramsey)
