The recent visitation of Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, son of the Governor of Delta State, to the Asaba residence of Mathias Ogochukwu Osanebi stands as a decisive moment in the unfolding political architecture ahead of the 2027 general elections. It was not a routine courtesy call, but a deliberate convergence of influence, vision, and strategic intent anchored on continuity, stability, and the preservation of political gains already secured.

Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, widely acknowledged as a formidable youth mobilizer and founder of the Sheriff Junior Care Foundation, has emerged as a central figure in galvanizing young people across Delta State in alignment with the Renewed Hope agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His visit to Osanebi was therefore symbolic of a deeper consolidation of progressive forces, particularly among the youth constituency whose relevance in modern political outcomes cannot be overstated.

Receiving his guest with measured dignity and unmistakable political clarity, Mathias Ogochukwu Osanebi renowned grassroots mobilizer, accomplished entrepreneur, and Managing Director of Mathnebi Nigeria Limited demonstrated both appreciation and strategic foresight. He acknowledged the significance of the visit even before its occurrence, noting that such engagements reflect a shared commitment to purposeful leadership and generational continuity in governance.

The closed door deliberations held within the Asaba residence were marked by candor, depth, and a rugged commitment to outcomes rather than optics. At the heart of the discussions were issues of party consolidation, youth empowerment, electoral preparedness, and the urgent necessity of preserving unity, peace, and security as Nigeria approaches another defining electoral cycle.

Osanebi, often described as a political force within the Ndokwa nation, articulated with unambiguous firmness his unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. He further extended this same resolute backing to the administration of Sheriff Oborevwori, asserting that both leaders have laid structural foundations that transcend temporary governance and instead secure long-term national and state stability.

In a tone that reflected both conviction and strategic realism, Osanebi declared that there would be no vacancy in Aso Rock or the Delta State Government House in 2027. He emphasized that the current administrations at both levels are not merely governing but reconstructing the very framework upon which sustainable development must stand, thereby justifying continuity beyond political sentiment.

He further underscored that President Tinubu’s leadership represents a departure from superficial interventions, focusing instead on addressing foundational national challenges. According to him, this approach guarantees enduring benefits for future generations, positioning the President as a transformative figure whose policies will be appreciated long after his tenure.

Beyond rhetoric, Osanebi demonstrated tangible commitment through the unveiling of the Osanebi Youth Transformation Centre in Ndokwa a strategic hub designed to drive youth engagement, political education, and coordinated mobilization. The facility represents a calculated investment in the future, aligning with broader efforts to secure overwhelming electoral support for the All Progressives Congress and its candidates in 2027.

Within this framework, Osanebi pledged an ambitious but calculated target of mobilizing 3.7 million youth votes in support of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. This commitment is not aspirational alone but is backed by an evolving structure of grassroots networks, institutional platforms, and a clearly defined operational strategy aimed at delivering measurable political outcomes.

He also took a moment to commend Sheriff Junior Oborevwori for the visit, describing it as timely, strategic, and deeply reflective of responsible leadership. According to Osanebi, such engagements reinforce unity among progressive stakeholders and signal a readiness to confront the future with cohesion, discipline, and an unyielding sense of purpose.

Ultimately, the visitation was more than a meeting it was a declaration. A declaration of loyalty, of continuity, and of an uncompromising resolve to shape the political destiny of Delta State and Nigeria at large. In its tone and substance, it embodied a rugged, forward-looking alliance determined not merely to participate in 2027, but to define it.

Politics › I Will Vote Delta South For APC State Chairman. by Bitter22(op): 8:00pm On Mar 02
I Will Vote Delta South for APC State Chairman.

Dr. Festus Okubor, Ute-Erumu.

As an official delegate to the APC State Congress holding tomorrow in Asaba, and as a longstanding and committed party member, I consider it necessary to share my considered position on the ongoing conversations surrounding the emergence of our State Chairman.

In recent days, there has been intense debate, particularly on social media, regarding which senatorial district should produce the next State Chairman and whether longevity in the party should be the primary qualification for the office. While I respect diverse opinions, I believe our decisions must be guided by prudence, party stability, and the long-term interest of Delta State.

Our people say, “ìsìànù kà wà nòr àchò mkpùlùànyàà” — it is on the head of the animal that one searches for the eyes. The Governor, as the political head of the party in the state, represents that “head.” It is therefore consistent with our established political culture of zoning and power balancing that party leadership decisions should reinforce, not undermine, stability at the centre.

The Governor is from Delta Central, while the Deputy Governor is from Delta North. For the sake of political equilibrium and to preserve the rotational understanding that has sustained peace in our multi-ethnic state, it is both strategic and stabilizing that the office of State Party Chairman also remain in Delta South at this time. This model has, over the years, reduced unnecessary tensions and safeguarded loyalty within the system, ensuring continuity in governance and development.

The argument that party offices should be determined solely by length of membership is, with respect, unconvincing. Longevity does not automatically translate to capacity. What the party requires at this critical moment is competence, maturity, and the ability to work harmoniously with the Governor and other stakeholders. A Chairman must consolidate, not divide; strengthen, not distract.

The party caucus has already undertaken zoning in line with established practice, and the senatorial districts have further micro-zoned positions to local government areas. Ultimately, the Congress remains the final authority, and delegates will exercise their votes accordingly.

In view of these considerations, I will tomorrow cast my vote at the Delta State APC Congress in Asaba for Chief Solomon Areyenka of Delta South Senatorial District — a gentleman of proven capacity and temperament, whom I believe can provide the steady and cooperative leadership our party requires at this time.

May our decisions continue to promote unity, stability, and progress in Delta State.
