A 53-year-old pastor who reportedly impregnated 20 members of congregation claims the Holy Spirit ordered him to have sex with them. Nigerian police have now arrested Timothy Ngwu for abusing the young girls and women at Vineyard Ministry of the Holy Trinity. Ngwu’s abusive behaviour was finally reported to the police by his estranged wife Veronica who grew tired of his adulterous behaviour – and reportedly impregnated her young neice. A spokesperson for the Enugu State Police command told Naij.com he claims to be obeying the ‘spiritual’ urge to carry out the will of God, ‘irrespective of whether the woman is married or not.’ Ebere Amaraizu added: ‘When the woman is delivered of the baby, the child remains in the ministry with the mother for life.’ Ngwu told the same website he has 13 children with five different wives and the mistresses God’s ‘prophetic’ will told him to acquire. He also claims he never had sex with any married woman unless their husbands consented to the Holy Spirit’s request. Calista Omeje and Assumpta Odo both left their husbands to live with the pastor based on these holy commands. Mother-of-eight Odo said Ngwu impregnated both her and her daughter, whose age is not known. And Calista – who has 10 children with her husband – said the pastor impregnated her but the baby died. She also revealed that she ‘gave’ her daughter to him. The pastor’s brother – who did not want to be identified – said he had warned both Ngwu and his family about the self-proclaimed clergyman’s behaviour for a long time but they refused to listen.

The lady who organised the rented crowd that protested at the Chatham House in London on Thursday on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan has been uncovered. The lady, who gave her name simply as Adijatu towards the end of the video attached to this report, said she organised the 100 persons from Manchester in the United Kingdom for the purpose of the pro-Jonathan protest. The rented crowd also protested against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Major General Muhammadu Buhari. As earlier reported, a member of the President Jonathan campaign team and the Assistant Director of Civil Society and Support Groups in the Diaspora, Chief Peter Mozie, had requested for $20,000 to mobilise some Nigerians in the United Kingdom to protest at Chatham House where Buhari was to deliver a speech on Thursday. A memo, addressed to the Director of Civil Society and Support Groups, Prof. Nick Eze, and copied to the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Affairs, Prof. Rufai Alkali, said different persons at the venue of the anti-Buhari rally will have various talking points. Adijatu, who first identified herself as Abi, confirmed on video that she mobilised the persons who came to the venue. She said they came in six buses. She said unlike Buhari with low spending power, Jonathan was a heavy spender. She equally said she could organise such crowd for anyone in need of such. Asked if she was the one who pocketed the $20,000 budgeted for the rally, she simply laughed and moved on to other discussions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFe1pTx_-1Q |

The running battle between Nigeria’s World Boxing Federation, WBF, cruiserweight boxing champion, Bashiru Lawrence Ali, a.k.a. Bash Ali (OON) and the Managing Director of NEXIM Bank, Robert Orya has landed the Edo State-born pugilist in Kuje Prison in Abuja. Bash Ali has several times alleged that Orya demanded a bribe of $10 million out of the $30m which President Goodluck Jonathan had asked the bank to release to the Local Organising Committee, LOC, of the Guinness Book of World Records fight which the boxer plan to stage in Nigeria. Bash Ali said: “On Wednesday, 18 February, NEXIM Bank’s Executive Director, Customer Service, Bashir Wali invited me for a chat, while waiting, the MD, Robert Orya, who on 6 May 6, 2014 asked for a private chat which I turned down drove in, saw me and members of the LOC and ordered security to beat us up. The security men broke the head of our driver and damaged the vehicle.” According to the boxer, he and some members of the LOC were arrested by the police and taken to the Federal Secretariat Command of the force in Abuja and were later transferred to the FCT Command before being finally taken to SARS on the same Wednesday. “On Thursday we were arraigned at the Magistrate’s Court, Cotonou Street at Wuse Zone 6. At the end of the proceedings the Chief Magistrate agreed to grant me bail of N1 million with surety of a Level 10 Federal worker, which I refused. This forced the police to remand me at Kuje Prison till 4 March when the case will come up again. “Fellow Nigerians, is this how we will allow corruption to continue in our dear country?” said Bash Ali through a text message he sent out at the weekend. P.M.NEWS Sports gathered from a police source that Bash Ali is being tried for criminal trespass, obstruction in public way, wrongful restraint and criminal intimidation, contrary to Sections 79, 85, 348, 194, 266 and 397 of penal code. The source said that Ali was arrested on Wednesday at about 2p.m after one Mr. Bisong Peter of NEXIM Bank reported him at the Central Police Station. He was arrested alongside five others when he trespassed into the premises on the bank, using a bus to block the entrance into the building, thereby restricting staff from getting into their offices.

The presidential candidate from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) General Muhammadu Buhari, may be banned from contesting in the forthcoming presidential poll. According to Vanguard, the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, yesterday, fixed March 19 to commence hearing on seven separate suits. However, both Buhari and his party, who are respondents in the matter together with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) maintained that they would not agree to take the service of the court procedures which they said were not authentically served on them. They dared the propriety of orders of Justice Adeniyi which had allowable the accusers to serve the originating summons on them through replaced incomes. Justice Adeniyi had on February 2, directed that the court processes be served on the defendants by publishing same in three national dailies. The court also granted an order of synopsis of time within which the defendants must respond to the suits. Though, both Buhari and his party contended that there was no urgency in the matter to permit the court to hear the suits in urgency. Thus, in separate preliminary objections filed by counsel to Buhari, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, and that of the APC, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, they called on the court to set-aside all the instructions it has made in the matter so far. They further opposed that the subject matter of the suit bothers on pre-election issues which they said is not time bound, adding that it can be determined even after the March 28 presidential poll. But, Chief Mike Ozehkome, SAN, who represented the accusers yesterday, advised the court to advance hearing on the matter so as to determine Buhari’s fate before the presidential election. His proposal enraged Buhari’s lawyer, Olanipekun, SAN, who contended that the suit challenging the certificate his client submitted to the INEC, has nothing to do with the election itself. “My lord what he is saying is that this case must end before this election. It is a wrong impression. This case has nothing to do with the conduct of the election. What if the presidential election was held on February 14?”, Olanipekun queried. Similarly, INEC through its lawyer Mr. Hassan Liman, SAN, yesterday, said it would file a initial objection to challenge both the capability of the suits which were filed by the two plaintiffs, Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor and Mr. Max Ozoaka, as well as the jurisdiction of the court to entertain them. It should be noted that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal reserved its judgment concerning the President Goodluck Jonathan’s eligibility to contest presidential election in March. President Jonathan is key opponent of the opposition candidate General Buhari in coming poll.

NFF President Amaju Pinnick has met with parents of some ravemaking Nigerian youngsters across the top rank in England. On his way to an official meeting with FIFA President, Mr. Sepp Blatter at the Home of FIFA on Wednesday morning, the NFF boss stopped over in the England capital and watched Sunday’s FA Cup fifth round match between Arsenal and Middlesbrough at the Emirates. “I was able to see Kenneth Omeruo and Chuba Akpom at the match. I am meeting the parents of a number of these youngsters this time and have plans to meet all of them and also their parents in due course. “You see, some of them might have represented England at junior level, but they are willing to represent Nigeria at senior level, and that is what we are looking at. We are looking at strengthening our teams at all levels and these players are willing, once we can convince them that there is a new set-up in Nigeria football.” Pinnick’s diary has 18 –year old attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, who has joined up with the country’s Olympic Team ahead of their departure for an 11th All-Africa Games qualifying match against Gabon in Libreville on Saturday, as well as former Chelsea centre back Joshua Debayo, also 18, now on the books of another Premiership team, Southampton. Debayo is also an England U-18 international. http://footballlive.ng/footballnews/9ja-news/pinnick-meets-akpom-iwobis-parents-in-london/ |
