I hope Maresca can construct good "automatisms" for low blocks, since he loves possession.

Dont mind data boys and their newfound love of football mathematics

Even in terms of stats, there is no suggestion that Palmer "wasn't even close" to Foden. In fact, Palmer trumps him in quite a number of areas. Judging by eye test or stats, that notion is ludicrous
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueMann: 10:12pm On May 27
Godx:

Foden has 19goals and 8 assists with zero penalties.

Palmer had 22goals and 11assists with 9 penalties. This notion that Palmer was even close to Foden in terms of performance should die a natural death.

You people exaggerate too damn much. Palmer created more chances per game and created more big chances (17-10), played more through balls, had better take on success. How can you say that Palmer wasn't even close to Foden in terms of performance?

I saw on Twitter that Mikel is claiming that Drogba and him were the reasons Nigerians started supporting Chelsea

Who will say they started supporting Chelsea because of Mikel who was on the bench most of the time

If you planned to watch Chelsea because of Mikel then you won't see him at all

Truth is Roman purchase blew up Chelsea fanbase in Nigeria then Mourinho

I'll say Kanu moved more Nigerians to a football club (Arsenal) than anyone

One of my childhood friends who used to support Chelsea in the mid 90s switched to Arsenal when Kanu moved

I do know people who gained interest in the club because of Mikel. He might not have had Kanu's or Drogba's pull, or even that of Essien, but he definitely was an influence.

Massive win for the Mavs, considering the loss of Lively.

Kyrie, Luka and very importantly, Gafford got them this win. Big performance in the clutch.

Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 3:34am On May 27
Credit to Gafford, he's been huge on defense. Another huge play there

And Gafford throws down a monster dunk off a Luka lob! And 1!!!

Free throw made, lead up to nine with just over half a minute left.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 3:32am On May 27
Towns misses another wide open three

Irving knocks one down at the other end

6 point lead for the Mavs with a minute left
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 3:31am On May 27
Doncic has made some really tough shots today. Lovely stuff. Really good defense, but just amazing offense from Luka

Gobert not coping well with guards. Up to four fouls
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 2:47am On May 27
Edwards!! What a slam!! Took Gafford's soul!

And he knocks down another. And another to tie the game.

He's feeling it rn.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 2:14am On May 27
Towns struggling real bad from the field. Only managed his first two field goals late in the 2nd, having missed the previous 8, including some really good/open looks.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 2:12am On May 27
Gafford not smart at all. Very unnecessary foul right at the end which gives the Wolves the chance to reduce the lead, and increases his own foul count, which is even more detrimental with Lively out.

There's a clear difference between Lively and him.

I hope Lively is okay. That knee to the head has to hurt.

First a knee to the crown jewels, then a nasty one to the back of the head. Looked barely conscious when he got up.

Hope he's okay

Didn’t watch

E no play well ?

I missed like half an hour of the game sha
But I wasn't really moved from what I saw

Good hold up/strength is the only real positive I noted.

Lookman in fine form rn, a goal and a penalty won to help Atalanta secure a convincing win and a top four finish. They could even finish third above Juve if they win their outstanding game

Look at what these mumu Leeds players are doing in the opposition box.

Smh

Anyways, they've made a very good start to this half

Summerville and Gnonto have been atrocious with their decision-making. Too much geagra, too little sense.

The whole team lacks sense. Soton seems more manageable from what I've seen, Leeds should just remain there abeg

It's annoying to watch some players run. Running like they have no balance, or as if they're high

Armstrong puts Soton ahead. Southampton heading back to the EPL but it’s far from over. Leeds United might do a come back.

Both teams have been terrible btw

Leeds had one glorious opportunity to equalize but that mumu Archie gray could not make a simple pass to pick out one of the three teammates that were advancing. There was only one Soton player back!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueMann: 2:48pm On May 26
So we will even have to go through playoffs to enter the conference league proper??

Shame.

The Pacers had a good run. If not for injuries they shouldn't have even won their first round series.

True but the fact that they were so close twice, yet are now so far away that it's practically over.

They'll be kicking themselves real hard. Zero composure in the clutch

Why didn't Carlise call a timeout to draw up a play??
