In this explosive documentary which has rocked Ghana’s football association, executives including the organisation’s head allegedly proposing bribes worth millions of euros.

The project is the result of two years work by an undercover investigative journalist who goes by the pseudonym Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who is known for previously exposing graft in Ghana’s judiciary.

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi was caught suggesting lucrative deals to undercover journalists posing as “investors” in the film “Number 12”, which was shown Wednesday at a preview attended by diplomats and politicians in the capital Accra.

The documentary shows Nyantakyi proposing to journalists posing as investors pay him $11 million to help grease the palms of key government officials to secure contracts.

Other Ghana FA executives were also filmed accepting bribes influencing player selection for various national teams, an AFP correspondent said.

And 15 referees were even caught on camera allegedly accepting just $100 (85 euros) to rig Ghana Premier League matches — with their assistants taking $50.

A notorious car snatcher/thief met his Waterloo following a failed robbery operation in Awka, Anambra state.

According to reports, the suspected thief was apprehended by officers of the Nigeria Police Force while trying to make away with a Toyota Camry Car around Diamond Bank Expressway.

He was beaten mercilessly by the security operatives and later taken into custody.

Mr. Gbadebowale Wayne Aboderin, the Chairman, Punch Nigeria Limited, is dead, Punch Metro reports.

He died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 6.05am after a heart surgery at the First Cardiology Consultants, Ikoyi, Lagos at the age of 60.

He was also Chairman Punch Commercial Printing Limited and Lukahed Properties Limited.

A sports enthusiast and philanthropist, he was the founder and chairman of the Dolphins Female Basketball Foundation, and also a former chairman of the Lagos State Basketball Association.

He was a one-time vice-president of the Nigerian Basketball Supporters Club.

The Benue House of Assembly on Wednesday passed a Bill to outlaw marriage contract between persons of the same sex in the state, the News Agency of Nigeria reported.

Cited as Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Law, 2018, the bill was passed at plenary after a clause by clause consideration by the Committee of the whole presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Terkimbi Ikyange.

According to the bill, “a marriage contract or civil union entered into between persons of same sex shall not be solemnised in a church, mosque or any other place of worship in Benue.’’

The bill also prohibited the registration or recognition of gay clubs, societies and organisations, their sustenance, procession and meeting as well as a public show of same sex amorous relationship directly or indirectly.

According to the law, any person who entered into a same-sex marriage contract or civil union commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a term of 14 years’ imprisonment.

Speaking after the third reading of the bill, the Speaker stated that same-sex union was alien to the culture and tradition of the State and had to be prohibited.

What actually went down at the Senate this morning
Kogi West senatorial representative, Dino Melaye attended the Senate plenary on Wednesday morning after some weeks absence.

Mr Melaye raising a point of order thanked his colleagues, members of the House of Representatives, his constituents and the Nigerian populace for standing by him during his travails.

Mr Melaye, who attended the chamber with a neck support, also asked the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to mandate the sergeant-at-arms to create a seat for him at the opposition wing of the chamber.
Thereafter, he announced he would sit beside former Senate President, David Mark, pending the time a seat will be allocated to him.

He was thereafter aided by some of his colleagues to his preferred seat.

But to officially join PDP, Mr Melaye would have to write the Senate president of his decision to leave his party and join the opposition. The letter would then be read during Senate plenary.

In his 2018 Democracy day speech, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said its not fair for anybody to compare the present administration’s performance in just three years to the 16 years spent by the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said the fact that the opposition PDP had started assessing the present government even shortly after spending two years in office showed that “we have performed well.”

Osinbajo spoke at a gala night/dinner organised to round off activities marking the 2018 Democracy Day saying it was important for the current government officials to thank God for having been in office for three years.

He said he would not have believed the prophesy if anybody had told him five years ago that he would become the nation’s Vice-President. Osinbajo said the administration had recorded great success.
He that for those who had been in government for 16 years comparing themselves to an administration that was just three years, showed that the administration had done very well.

Earlier, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha, described the evening as auspicious in the sense that it was the third year of Buhari’s administration and 19 years of democracy. “As we go into the fourth lap of this administration, good things are about to happen,” he said.

Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has succumb to Hushpuppi’s demand of her apologizing to Linda Ikeji for all her derogatory words before he can donate to her medical bills.

In reaction to this, the investigative journalist did not continue with her claims on Linda’s pregnancy but she did what needed to be done by humbly apologizing.

In a video she posted on her Youtube Channel, she broke down in tears saying:
