Bros you've been scammed, I was once a victim of such transactions, all na set up, he didn't make any transfer actually. It's a trick, there was another guy around that vicinity that'll send in fake alert on his gesture to make everything looks real.

This is a difficult case.... If you still know his number, try dialing it but before then, get an app like true caller to see if his name would appear...that's if he actually registered that sim with his name (I'm presuming he would since his number was used to run the bank transfer ussd and it was going through). If his name pops up....damn bro!!! It's a tough task, you might need the help of a banker; one who works in the bank he was using to run the ghost transfer to actually get his details and block his account till he makes himself available.

I feel bad for you coz letting this go is more easier than the process of tracking him...because in the long run, it could be an innocent person unaware that may be caught having the IPhone after it gets sold to him by the scam who may just get a new temporary Sim just to sell the iPhone.

Pls, always depend on app verification for receiving your payments going forward even if it takes forever to appear... There's no need to rush; it's business not a relay race.

Someone has helped me to use truecaller to dial his number, tho I didn't know his name but the name that appears looks like an Hausa name(Bubban Kuta).
Lesson learnt. No late night transactions.

Pls guys, I need your urgent help. Sold my iPhone Xs to a guy(not on NL) on Saturday and I was with him while he was running the payment transfer.

But I didn't get the alert on time so I left thinking I will get it before I get home. But up till now, no alert and the guy number is switched off.

My question is can I report to the police and will they be able to track him?
