@genius43 any idea why this wifi scanning turns back on? I have turned it off countless number of times.

After some days, when I check again I find it on.
It turns on when you use your xender. You can turn it off by turning off your WiFi when you swipe down.

Preferably keep it on a table. If you must keep it on your bed, keep it around where you place your head.

But if you want to sleep very well at night, your phone should not be around your bed. grin
That's true. I remember one night I slept on my infinix hot note. I woke up with a cracked screen. Probably hit it with my knee or something.

Get a good tempered glass to protect your screen.
Most importantly, be careful with your phone.

Don't ever leave it on your bed or chair.
Bed? huhWhere do we keep it then? On the ground?

preach the gospel to the fellow, with xiaomi all things re possible cool
I remember when I got my R7. Went to a relatively big phone shop and asked for Redmi 7. The security guard directed me to one lady. Told her what I'm looking for.. You needed to see the look on her face. grin grin She directed me to another lady (higher staff) who knows what's up. She told me straight up they don't have it. I was wondering what if I had asked for Xiaomi (pronounced shiaomi)? Her ear for block. grin grin

What should I do?
grin grin
The person that attended to you was probably sleep-talking grin Call again and tell the cc agent it's a 4G phone.

Redmi 7 is on 10.3.4.

And it is not about the version number but the features they bring to your own device irrespective of the number.
Hmmm okay then.

I honestly hope this will be the last thing I'm enquiring about on this thread. angry

My phone takes some frustrating 7-10 seconds to wake when I use any of the three methods (fingerprint, power button or double tap on the screen). It wasn't like this before. I thought maybe it's some apps I installed recently. I uninstalled them but it didn't change anything.
It happens when the screen has been off for a while (sometimes just for 3mins). What could be wrong?
Turned out it was my memory card. I removed it and inserted it again thrice before it was rectified. I also updated all my system apps. Cc: jboixxx GrandMufti

It's annoying when I want to use the phone and I have to wait for 10 seconds for the phone to come up. Yea, probably some app. I'll fish it out soon.

While your fone is charging, click and hold on that circle showing the battery percentage. Your fone has to be locked foe that circle to show while charging.

Tell me thank you for this. I know most people never knew that feature was there. cheesy
How did you discover this feature? cheesy Plenty thanks.

Thanks everyone for the comments on charging. Once it's 20% now, I'm charging. cool

Always Don't let your battery below 20% it helps

Then once in while drain your battery completely and charge to 100% switched off.
Red it somewhere.
Yea, thanks.
madgoat:
Continue..,. You will soon kill your battery grin

N.B. you dont have to wait until your battery is completely low before you charge.
Back to sender. grin Where in settings is your attached screenshot located?
jboixxx:
Why would you drain your battery before charging? Anyways, different school of thoughts sha. I recharge between 20-30%.
Lol. I've seen people say it's best to drain the battery before charging.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by BoleAndFish: 11:05pm On Aug 17, 2019
I heard it's best to always drain battery before charging again. I charge most times at 30% or 20+%. Is it healthy for the battery?

Your WiFi/Bluetooth scanning is on as shown in your screenshot revealed by the blue bar under WiFi. It consumes an amount of battery

To turn it off, go to settings >> additional settings >> privacy >> Location >> scanning >> turn off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by BoleAndFish: 9:39pm On Aug 17, 2019
I was getting disturbed about my battery drain earlier today until I checked my SOT and battery graph. I was on the phone almost all through the day. What do you guys think?

.Resolution issues. If the screenshot is so important, you can attach it as document rather than jpeg/PNG. If that doesn't work, attach to Google drive, give it a 'share' privilege and send the link to the recipient. It will be clear.

Boleand fish, once you've taken your screenshot, click on it before it's taken off your screen and click on 'scroll'.

Modified:
Not all apps support this feature
Thanks. Gotten it.
akashi01:
Actually it is, compared to other phones dropping screenshots on here
I believe it's nl that reduced the quality. It's very clear viewing it from my phone.
