IPOB-ESN have committed the attack to warn people towards the sit at home they declared for Monday 21st October and Tuesday 22nd October, 2024. These terrorist members are being supported by the grassroot, unfortunately they are turning back to kill the same people. Kemetian: MY FRIEND GO AND SIT DOWN.
YOU HAVE “BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE” IN NIGERIA.
For more than we have EVER had.
IN MY DAYS WE HAD NO PHONES, EXCEPT FOR THE TINY FEW ELITE WITH LAND LINES.
NO INTERNET, NO BRT, NO TRAINS, NO SHOPRITE, NO YOUTUBE WHERE YOU CAN GO ON AND LEARN ANY SKILL FOR FREE, NO SMARTPHONES POWERED BY MULTI BILLION DOLLAR FIBRE OPTIC CABLES FUNDED BY THE NIGERIAN GOVT, WHICH IS WHY TODAY YOU CAN START A FULL-BLOWN BUSINESS ON YOUR PHONE, AND RUN IT ON YOUR PHONE IN YOUR BEDROOM, AND BE EARNING DOLLARS.
You can go on YouTube and learn Forex, or Crypto, or Affiliate Marketing, or even start a YouTube channel! Earning dollars freely!
MY GENERATION IN THE 1980s and 90s had none of this.
To start or run a business it was about running around and rushing in and out of MOLUES and sitting in traffic for hours on end just to reach a business partner to give him a simple message, since there were no phones or email.
I mean, you guys are in FCKING PARADISE compared to our lives in the past.
YET, ALL YOU DO IS MOAN AND MOAN ALL DAY AND NIGHT.
Your problem is you are LAZY, USELESS, and don’t want to use your BRAINS.
Of course there are many youths doing good things. They sat down and LEARNED A SKILL that they can use to make money.
When YOU are ready to do like them, you will begin to enjoy your country.
Because MAKE NO MISTAKE. In this country, people are BALLING. Sorry not in the shit hole with you! Just worried about the younger generation. |

9jatriot: So, at your age, you still expect your elders to be providing you with these basic things like food, clothing, shelter? It looks like you do not understand what I have been saying, your mates in other countries have started been productive and are already providing these things for themselves and even exporting in some cases.
Security, it is not ghost that are making the society insecure, it is humans, mostly the same youths who you represent and are abusing elders. If the youths are as productive as their counterpacts in other countries then crimes like yahoo, kidnapping, arm robbering will not be what they have time for. Rather than think out of the box only crime.
The elders you are abusing used to go long distances to fetch water from streams, carry it on their head and go back home. Those elders now devised the use of wells and bore hole for your lazy generation and all the thank you you can say is to curse them.
They use to use lentern and candles, as they began to improve financially, they provided you guys with generator to supplement NEPA, yet na curse una de curse them.
Very ungrateful lot. It's you who doesn't even get the whole point. The younger generation has turned out the way they are today due to a lack of direction and guidance from the older generation. They, however, didn't improve; instead, they became monstrous and destroyed every single institution left behind by the colonial masters. ........Gotta go I have a metro to catch |

You guys thing the older folks had it so easy. In their time, they probably had only one school in a whole region. Nowadays, there is virtually a school in every close not to talk of street. The younger generation struggles with basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter, and essential amenities for a country's progress, such as electricity, water, and security. Unfortunately, these are nonexistent in Nigeria. How can talent thrive in such a hostile environment? |

I do not even want to mention China so that you see things that ordinary 19 year olds are doing.. You're veering off-topic. What creates an environment where talents flourish? Countries you mentioned have basic infrastructure. Does Nigeria have comparable amenities. |

Politics › Re: ‘How Do We Survive?’ - Nigerians Lament Fresh Fuel Price Hike by Borrow222: 3:52pm On Oct 09, 2024 |
nairalanda1: Peter Obi was the best candidate, no be lie, but let's be honest, under Obi, we would have had the same result.
By May 2023, the results of decades of borrowing to pay for subsides since the late 1970's was in, and we had a lot of debt from maintaining subsides, which, among other things, was contributing to debt eating 99% of our government revenue.
At the end, and please let's put politics aside, APC, PDP, LP and company, Igbo and Yoruba aside......how are you going to pay for subsides with debt servicing eating 90% of our revenue? Is it by miracle, or by more loans while we wait for the results of good policies.?
Whoever took over, we were in dire straits. Either subsides were removed, or we got into taking more loans...to the point where debt would be eating something like 150% of our revenue. Then we go see shege...real shege.
The annoying thing about this APC government is that they are still doing the same old looting, and same old sharing money, but vote in Obi, and nothing could be done....and even if he raised prices to N400 , it would just be what Buhari was doing all this time ....which worsened the debt situation in the first place...among other causes.
I effing hate to sound like I am defending this government, and lord knows I don't like being called an APC supporter, when I have not voted for either big parties since I started voting., and when I have been suspicious of tinubu since 2005 (when Gani raised questions about his certificate back then)....but in 2023, may... this is what was happening.
debt service was eating 90% of our revenue Subsidy funding was going to run out by June ending...no matter what tinubu did...and the only way to get subsidy back was by either taking more loans, or removing it to get more extra money, and then using some of that to fund subsidy.
And even now the subsidy that tinubu brught back is causing us more issues...debt has risen again.
What magic would you perform to keep fuel below N200 Per liter, without taking loans and suchlike.?
AM sure you would call me agbado.......but we were in a shitty situation, and it was godawful. Make no mistake, vote Obi, vote Kwankwaso....it would have produced the same result re oil prices.
Yes, I am angry with APC, and they are useless.....but politcs aside, unless you have a pot filled with 130 trillion naira....no way we were going to keep fuel prices low.
The problem with Nigeria is that we keep making the same mistakes over and over again, whoever is in charge , because we don't want to do the right thing, and we don't want to end corruption. You have started with your nonsense analysis. Every single person has a way to react and do things. Stop saying that nonsense that Peter Obi will do the same thing. Tinubu surrounded himself with crook politicians with no single technocrats they only advise him on tribal banter and all sorts of nonsense. He didn't study the subsidy issues at all and cancelled it without proper consultation and verification. He cancelled the subsidy and floated the naira with no proper measures to handle the after-effect on the citizens. You just keep saying trash up and down. |
