Dike Uche was struck by the realization that only 5% of the work force attends a job interview with a JOB PORTFOLIO and they were more likely job applicants like architects and designers. It was blindingly obvious to him that job applicants like designers would never dream of attending an interview without a JOB PORTFOLIO containing samples of their designs. For them their JOB PORTFOLIOS was hard evidence of their potential – ‘seeing is believing’.
Clearly this was something that the remaining 95% of the workforce could not do. No previous employer would allow an ex-employee (or current employee) to take samples of work they have done to a job interview with another company.
Dike Uche felt he had stumbled upon an amazing program that could so easily help millions of job seekers in Nigeria. Q. What is the difference between a CV/Rèsumè and a Job Portfolio?

A. A CV/Rèsumè is what a job seeker sends to an employer outlining their education and previous work history. The main objective of a CV/Rèsumè is to get a jobseeker an interview. In contrast, a job portfolio contains actual samples of work done e.g. an architect will take architectural drawings to his interview to show what he has done. A fashion designer will take samples of her/his designs. These items are part of their job portfolio and showcase their work during a job interview. The sole purpose of a job portfolio is to get the job seeker the job.

Q. How does a person wanting to work in administration or law show samples of his or her previous work as a company will not allow their documents to be taken out of the office to be shown to another company, who may even be a competitor?

A.  Users in Nigeria will be doing their work placement on behalf of UK companies who support our program. Work assignments given to users can require the user to produce reports and other business formats. On completing their work assignments, users will upload their work to our website in the UK. After uploading their work they will be entitled to create job portfolios from their own uploaded work assignments. In support the UK companies will provide job references, by way of a download, to confirm that the user worked for them on the assignment.
